I walked in and within seconds I had a tank top, pair of pants, and a mini skirt in hand. The prices were very affordable, more than say H&M but less than say.. Macys. The style is a combo of street style and club style.. Maybe? They also have loungewear and it looked SO FREAKIN COMFY! I loved all the racer type gear and several of the jackets they had. They also have accessories like jewelry, hats, etc. In the end, I walked out with a pleather mini skirt with a slit. Super Cute, about $50. The staff was super friendly, assisting me in the dressing room and getting me new sizes when needed. Also when checking me out. They have a loyalty program that's free and gets you 10% off your first purchase. There is no doubt that I'll be back here and I'm excited to come outside of the holidays when I won't feel as guilty buying stuff for myself.

A bit Pricey but in today's economy- what isn't !…read more I took my granddaughter shopping for her 13th birthday, and we spent over an hour in the store trying on clothes. During that entire time, not one employee acknowledged us or offered help while we searched for sizes and colors. At checkout, things got worse. After I paid in cash, the cashier handed me my bills and change all in one hand and said, "We don't have any pennies, is that okay?" She never explained what I was agreeing to. I couldn't tell if I was given more or less than expected because everything was handed to me at once, and she was very vague. When I asked for clarification, she eventually said they couldn't give me the exact change because "they don't make pennies anymore." That explanation made no sense. Whether or not pennies are still being produced has nothing to do with a current transaction--there are still plenty in circulation. The issue wasn't the penny--it was the assumption. She didn't ask if I had exact change, didn't ask if I had pennies, and didn't explain upfront that I was being shorted. She just decided it was acceptable. I remained calm, polite, and spoke in a softer tone than usual because I didn't want to make a scene. But I did explain that it's rude to assume a customer doesn't want their change, no matter how small the amount. Another employee overheard and asked what was going on. The cashier responded, "She's complaining because I didn't have one penny." That completely misrepresented the situation. The second employee replied, "Well, they don't make them anymore, so what do you want us to do?"--which only made things worse. I even pointed out that I had pennies on me, reinforcing that this wasn't the customer's problem to solve. If anything, a business should round in favor of the customer--not against them. The cashier argued that giving me more would make her drawer short, which again shows a lack of understanding of basic customer service. At one point, the second employee disengaged entirely and turned away with a smirk, which was incredibly unprofessional. Eventually, a third employee (who appeared to be a manager) stepped in and said, "Just give her a nickel"--which is exactly what I suggested from the beginning. At that point, it wasn't even about the money anymore--it was about how the situation was handled from start to finish. Also worth noting: if the situation were reversed and I was short a penny, I highly doubt they would have said, "That's fine, they don't make them anymore." I would have been expected to come up with the difference. We left without taking the nickel, but the experience left a lasting impression. For the prices they charge ($45 for shorts, $35 for a tank top), I expect far better service and professionalism. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Much rather spend my money at Lululemon and get SUPERB service.

Which, goody for them, all the really rich folks do not ever have to walk more than 5-10 steps before partaking in their $150 per plate meals. Don't these people have their own drivers? Tommy Bahama and all shops along that strip have lost my business. If they can't keep the lot the way it's always been, first come first serve, pay the meter, then they are wimps and do not deserve my business. Too bad, I love their merchandise, just not their backbone, which seems to be non-existent. How does this move set with average hard working people who save their money to occasionally buy something nice at places like Tommy Bahama? Not well. Hi

I wish Yelp did half stars. This was a 3.5 star visit. Lets start with the pros: The store was immaculate. There was a ton of stock considering its a week from Christmas. Talbots lately always has a sale. I got a 89 sweater for my mom for 35 bucks. The clerk in petites was excellent. Check out was flawless What I didn't like was another sales clerk who greeted me was awkward and followed me around to the point it was uncomfortable I felt like she thought I had sticky fingers. It got to the point where I just didn't make a purchase cause it may be very uncomfortable. Second time I came to the store, probably about four months later, waiting for an appointment across the street, I thought I come and give them another chance and just browse around. This time when I walk in the store, for a while, I was not acknowledged, which is fine. However, the very first time I was even acknowledged, while only having two items in my hand, instead of saying hello she immediately asked me if I want a fitting room. Her whole energy seemed like she was very worried about me stealing something, which is probably why she asked if I wanted a fitting room. I don't think she was genuine. You can tell the difference between genuine kindness and prejudice. There was a sweater I was going to buy, but then after dealing with that, I figured they don't deserve my patronage. Never again!!! I should've learned my lesson the first time. When I called Customer Service to complain, they were as useless as a wet stamp, so it's just not worth it. Just don't stop while you are a minority and you'll be fine. The funny thing is that my AGI last year was over $113,000, so if I don't need to steal a $100 polyester cotton sweater, when I bought a pair of $1200+ Louboutin sneakers at Bergdolf Goodman! At Saks Fifth Avenue, I buy Creed perfume Carmina for over $400! Try again, ignorant one! Macy's is a much better store and is more family friendly.

In that time, I have gotten to know the brand really well. I can tell you from tons of experience that their clothing will go out of style long before it ever falls apart. The items are very well made and will hold up to everyday wear. This brand has done a lot for the plus size clothing industry. Torrid was one of the first brands to start making truly trendy clothing for plus size girls, for that reason, Torrid will always be my favorite clothing store. Upon entering a Torrid store location, you will be greeted by a sales associate who typically introduces themselves and asks if you need any assistance, etc. They will offer to start a fitting room for you. They'll then write your name on the door and begin hanging items in the fitting room for you. Some fitting rooms have fans with a control switch on the wall-this is awesome in the summer months. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel like their customers are important. This location is one of my favorites. It's hard to find decently made, plus size clothing that's up with the current fashion trends. Fortunately, Lane Bryant has stayed with the times. Also have more employees working here, simply because they get more foot traffic. My only negative (if u want to call it that) is over the last several years, LB has been offering more upscale garments to their repertoire. Expensive stuff. Too expensive for my tastes. I work a lot with preschool kids, so nice clothing is a no-no I absolutely love their high-waist jeans - perfect for day to day. And the materials used always scream comfy!
