This is a stand alone location not housed inside an enclosed shopping mall. As such, shoppers are intentional and usually not browsing to kill time. This also frees up the store personnel to do the tasks that keep the store running; they aren't permanently assigned to one section. I've been here on slow days and busy days so there can be 3-7 visible employees. If items are ordered online they can be returned in store. The policy has changed regarding returns. They have to be done in a 30-day window, or if the order was placed on a Lane Bryant credit card, it's extended to 45-days. The best time to shop is when the new clothing season starts for a greater selection of merchandise. The second best time is when you need something. If you like something but they don't have it in the size you need, they will see if it's available online or in another location. read more

Nice store, easy in and out and the staff is helpful! BUT don't open a credit card - their terms are ridiculous. I erroneously short paid my bill by $0.36 and ended up owing over $56 through Comenity Bank! The short payment was not reflected on my next statement and when I called to inquire why I received a bill for $24.51 the customer service rep said it was an error and they would credit my account. Note, the rep never mentioned the 0.36 short payment. Next statement arrives showing a balance of $27.23, I called, the customer service rep says it is a late charge from the $24.51 and will be credited. Again, the short payment of $0.36 was never mentioned. Today I receive a bill for $56.36! Once again I call, the rep says it is 2 months of late charges and interest on the short payment of $0.36 I originally made! The rep was nice enough to waive the late charges - but said I still owed $4.00 plus the 36 cents I short paid two months ago! The rep said there was no way they could intercept the computer and waive the $4.00. That's hard to believe! I paid the $4.36 in protest (1,111.11% interest is a little steep!) Talk about ripping people off! I have cancelled my account, suggested to my family and friends they do the same! What?! I'm astounded I haven't reviewed this store. Whelp, we'll fix that. I shop at LB all the time. It's hard to find decently made, plus size clothing that's up with the current fashion trends. Fortunately, Lane Bryant has stayed with the times. This location, smack in a giant outdoor mall here in Columbus, seems to have a bit more selection than many of their satellite stores. Also have more employees working here, simply because they get more foot traffic. My only negative (if u want to call it that) is over the last several years, LB has been offering more upscale garments to their repertoire. Expensive stuff. Too expensive for my tastes. I work a lot with preschool kids, so nice clothing is a no-no I absolutely love their high-waist jeans - perfect for day to day. And the materials used always scream comfy! Bright colored shirts - perfect for mix and matching. I'm always a happy camper when I can hit a sale! read more

I LOVE shopping at this location. The ladies are amazing. They are patient, knowledgeable and fun. They make me feel good about spending my money there! I live in Oakland, CA and I usually have to do my bra shopping at the Lane Bryants there. The customer service at this Columbus location is so much better than what I get there. I always make it a point to stop in when I'm in town. I've recently gained weight, so it was time to do some bra shopping. Being that my size changed, I had a tough time finding the right fit. One of the ladies told me that the shape of my breasts would work best with a certain type of bra (unlined or balconette). That piece of advice ended an almost 5 month search for a bra that would fit. I'm so relieved and grateful. I highly recommend this location. read more

Weird experience. I always pretty much order online and pick up in the store bc in my opinion, the sales are typically better online and you can always find a coupon code. Went to pick my stuff up today and Lane Bryant looks half like a high end boutique and half like it's old self. I have no idea how to shop for bras now because they're kind of all hidden away in drawers. Picture VS but less organized. Their shoe section has dissipated, and they have a weird fitness section devoted to $50 control top yoga pants..but whatever. Also, I picked up a pair of boots I had ordered which were in quite a large box. The cashiers almost always offer to put my online order in a big bag so it's easier to carry. I asked for a bag and the cashiers looked at each other before giving an answer and then said they could only try to put it in a small bag, which absolutely did not work. I don't know if they didn't have bags or if for some reason they just weren't willing to give me one, but it was weird either way. One cashier (maybe manager, I dnk) kept insisting that a box of boots would fit in a bag that was like 1/3 of the size of a grocery bag...like the kind that you would get if you had only bought jewelry and a pair of socks. Spoiler: it didn't even come close to fitting. So I just asked them to take the bag back..and I never wanted them to try to put it in a small bag in the first place. It's like they were trying to annoy me out of my request for a bag. I can only really recommend that you shop online and pick up in store unless there is a sale. read more

This was my first time in a lane Bryant. It was not my first stop but after getting ignored by all of the associates in Macy's, Nordstrom AND NYCO, I really needed a pair of jeans and figured- rather than give up- try something new. I'm a size 16 and shopping is never fun. I walked in- was greeted with a second and felt so comfortable from the very beginning. The sales associate- Mia, was so friendly, knowledgable and made me feel so comfortable. She was so great finding the perfect jeans for my body type- that after a 2 hour hunt for a pair- I could care less that they're $95 for a premium pair. It's never fun gaining weight and one can only go so long in leggings. If i hadn't had her at the front door Im sure I would have browsed and left- as I was already defeated in my search. This was my favorite place to shop. The staff was super friendly and efficient. The boss Beth was the best.If I was a day early to use my rewards check, it didn't matter because they allowed me to use it early knowing I was a customer who spent alot of money there.Now there is a new manager who seemed to run all the regular staff off. They are not very friendly and there is a negative vibe in there now. The new boss is abrupt and runs the place without any wiggle room on coupons. Lane Bryant, you'll rue the day you cross me! And that day has finally come! Let me start out by saying that I singularly shop at LB for their bras and lingere (their clothes don't fit my hourglass shape, they're too big in all the wrong places - I tend to shop in the - not my word - "urban" section of department stores instead), and so this review might be something that, if intimate information upsets you, you should probably choose not to read. I'm also going to share a personal story - after all, as I was reminded the other night when a couple Yelpers and I were sharing our "how I started Yelping" stories - I started Yelping in 2006 because Intimacy in Chicago pissed me off so badly with the way this mishandled a bra fitting experience. So, here we go. And, before I begin, let me also say that this is a painful story to tell, as well. Today, I went in to LB to find a strapless bra (alas! the same reason I went to Intimacy in 2006!) to wear with a halter dress tonight. When I walked in, likely looking determined, the saleswoman immediately asked me what I was looking for. I told her, and she said that they only had one type of strapless bra, and to follow her to the back of the store. She asked me what size I take, and I told her. Now, this is important because not only do the strapless bras at LB apparently not come in my cup size, but also because of the way the situation was handled. Since I was a pre-teen, my bra size has been a very sore issue for me. I have always been impossible to fit, no matter how skinny I was at various times in my life. I remember walking into a LB in Chicago and asking them if they carried a thirty two f - the reaction there was much more obnoxious than what I got today (apparently there is "no such size unless you go to a stripper store"), but still. So, today at LB, the woman tells me, the strapless bras only come in double d, but that I should try on a band size larger than I take with the double b cup because it will probably fit. I have had saleswomen tell me this 9,000 times over the course of my life. It is NOT true. So, I take one look at said size, know there will be a major nip slip if I wear it, and I tell her that this size won't work. Not that this woman was very pleasant to begin with, but she proceeds to become very unhelpful to me. She tells me the band size I need doesn't come in anything but double d. I say, huh, weird - just an observation, since LB tends to have such a variety of sizes. I ask if I can try the next size up, in the cup size I need, wondering if I might be able to somehow finagle it into being tight enough with safety pins or something, as I need the bra for tonight. The woman sternly tells me NO, ALL strapless bras ONLY come in double d in the store - but they have other sizes online, I should order it there. For tonight? Now, the saleswoman wasn't *horrible,* but like I said, she definitely wasn't pleasant or helpful, and this really wasn't fun for me. Over the last fifteen or so years, I have had many panic attacks around this topic, shed many tears over the embarrassment that is bra fitting/shopping, and developed disordered eating habits even knowing that no matter what I do, or what clothing size I take, this is the shape of my body. The point is, women working at a specialty store such as Lane Bryant, especially when helping hard-to-fit women with lingerie... you really need to be nice and sympathetic. Not disinterested and snippy. I decided to look at other options (hey if I have to have some bra showing, it can at least be cute, yes?), so I looked around on my own, then asked the lady if they had my size in a cute pink polka-dotty bra. She very resignedly pulled herself away from her cell phone (I think it was a business cell, but still), and half-heartedly looked at the bras I had already checked - I specifically asked her if they had any anywhere else in the store - and then said no, and told me again I could order it online if I wanted. At this point, I felt like I was having a panic attack, so I grabbed a band-size bigger than I take, ran to the register that said woman was NOT at, purchased the wrong size bra (which will probably work if I alter it), and booked it out of there. Overall, not a good experience. And I have had MANY good experiences buying bras at LB, with incredibly helpful and pleasant saleswomen (and men) both here and at Polaris. I can tell you because of this one experience, I absolutely will not go back to this location - I now associate it with panic and trauma, which is a shame, because I thought I was over all that. I have shopped at this store many times, to varied success but the one thing that is always disappointing is the lack of customer awareness. Every employee will ask you multiple times if you need help shopping which is very annoying. If I want help, I'll say yes the first or possibly the second time I'm asked. After all, I came into the store to shop and as a person with a mostly functional brain, I know how to shop. On my recent visit I was repeatedly bombarded with the can I help you question. However, when I was ready to check out. I had to shout for assistance. One of the employees jumped at my shouted request and looked appropriately abashed at having let a customer wait. That was nice but another CSR come over and said to the CSR who rushed to help me, that the store's policy is not to open a new register until the line of waiting customers is four people deep. That policy is crap. If there are seven CSRs standing around, I have to wait to check out? Lane Bryant get your act together! read more

Excellent employees who know their stuff and will go above and beyond to deliver excellent, friendly service. The woman who helped me yesterday listened to what I wanted and special ordered me the perfect bra while honoring the Black Friday price since they ran out of what I originally ordered. I didn't catch her name but she had dark hair and killer red lips- she even showed me where to get the lipstick she was wearing. It's genuinely friendly service like this that keeps me coming back to the Easton location for *every* new Bra or dress clothes occasion that arises. These women know their stuff and they really care about your shopping experience and comfort. And they don't try to sell you crap you don't need like everywhere else. Greatly appreciated. I have tremendous amounts of social anxiety but am always put at ease shopping here. The only thing they could improve is to add fans in the dressing rooms like Torrid has.
