Spam musubi is one of those things that either works for kids or turns into a negotiation, and here there was no negotiation. They were happy, which meant the adults got to eat in peace for a minute. Dessert sealed it. They have a version of Dole Whip that tastes just like Disneyland. I am not being cute about that. Same soft, cold, pineapple hit you remember from the park, which is a wild thing to get after a plate of ribs in Anaheim. We finished full and already half-planning the next visit. One caveat: it was really smoky inside. Enough that I noticed it the whole meal. If I could give 4.5 I would, but I'm rounding up because the food was that good. Portions felt solid for a plate-lunch place, the vibe was casual and family-friendly, and nothing about the meal felt fussy. If you want Hawaiian-style BBQ with kids in tow, this is still an easy yes. Five stars.

This place has lost its touch and I hate to see it. Kimchi chicken sandwich is got smaller and price has got up. The sauce on the chicken might have slipped off or was missed. Originally wanted to Shootz to be the first stop of our night but the line was just too long. Went around to order other food while waiting in line and after we order it took us 25 minute on top of n already waiting in a long line. The food was good but not worth the wait. I used to love the spam masubi, but the last two times I've had it, the rice is either old or cooked with not enough water. When chewing, you get some rice that has a crunch to it and not soft like it should be. The texture and taste of the rice kills it for me. Probably won't be back. read more

There seem to be more open spots available and the foot traffic here is very little on a weekday lunchtime. I went in to try Aunt Jenny and it was nice to not have a long line. The staff were super friendly, sweet, and helpful, which made the experience even better. My food also came out really quickly, despite the restaurant being busy. The fries still managed to have a crispy texture and had a sweet and savory sauce flavor to them. The beef cubes were tender and cooked just right. The noodles were fine as well. I liked that the noodles werent too heavy. The portion size is very large though, i was very full by the end of it. The green milk tea was good too. The milk, sugar, and tea ratios were all balanced and the flavor was subtle. It had an interesting flavor that reminded me of grass jelly and milk, but in a good way.
