The worst costumer service EVER! Rude Manager, very disrespectful, disgusting and racist staff. I bought a pair of nikes a week ago, and went to return it, they refused and wouldn't accept it. Came in to do a return .. we are at Valley Fair right ? Well I formed a line behind a woman and her kids paying for shoes . When out of nowhere an older lady and her son tried to cut me off ? Like hello I'm right here waiting for my turn .. Anyways Javen the cashier was already seeing what was happening and helped me first even after the lady kept inching forward and tried placing her shirt on the counter . Javen was very kind and understanding of the entire situation and my return was seamless. I had explained I was at Eastridge and purchased some low dunks but didn't love the Nike logo "sticking out " . The store its self is pretty tidy and plenty of workers ready to assist with finding right sizes , or answer questions. Mid customer service. Went in there because I saw they had a shoe I wanted on display. You know when you like can't decide between two sizes? Well I tried on one pair and wanted to try a size down. They took away the shoe I was originally trying on and then would bring me out the other shoe size. I mean I get they probably don't want people stealing (which would be nearly impossible because they always just bring out one shoe and never the whole pair) Did I forget to mention that I had to lace up all these shoes myself? In all my time entering a shoe store, they usually do that for you. So my time in there definitely took longer. I then asked if I could try it in a diff color but you can tell that they are somewhat uneducated about their products because they brought me a shoe that was similar to what I asked for, but not the actual thing. Finally they let me keep both shoe sizes to try on. Another time I asked for a half size smaller but the employee brought me a half size smaller in a MEN's size which meant I was getting a whole size up in women's. At this point i gave up on those pairs of shoes. Just wanted to pay and get out of there. In the end I had to tell the employee that they were giving the wrong style of shoe I had asked for which is why it didn't feel right. Having worked at a Shoe Palace flagship location a while ago, I know that workers are supposed to deliver a 5-star "Ultimate Experience" for their customers. No exceptions. Today unfortunately was the exception. Almost everyone here seemed short and in a rush to get a sale. I stopped by Foot Locker, Champs, and Vans, and all the other stores in the mall after my purchase to see if maybe it was like that across the board for Valley Fair before writing this review, but nope it's just this store. I asked to try on a pair of shoes in two sizes at the same time to compare. The guy gave me a single shoe and walked away. When I asked for the other shoe, he asked for the shoe back before fetching the other size even though I wanted to compare it side-by-side. This was a first for me. Never had I had this unusual request. I obliged anyways, and to no surprise he walked away again lol. Okay buddy. I purchased the pair anyways to give back to Shoe Palace but I won't be returning to this location. What a poor reflection of the company culture. I try to get some help but the dude is just trying to hit on his chick co worker so I force my way in for some help and he just shows a lot of attitude. Terrible customer service. I live in SF and went to the Shoe Palace in Serramonte. They didn't have the shoe I wanted but they said Valley Fair did and they could call to hold them. They had a hard time already getting a hold of them and had to keep calling back to get an answer. When they finally answered they said they could hold the shoes for us today. We drove over an hour to get to Valley Fair and when we got there, they said they only hold items for an hour and they sold the last pair. That's insane considering they knew where we were coming from and that we were told they would hold it for the whole day. When someone who was willing to help tried to, they ended up saying they could only call another store to hold it which would have been another hour drive. Terrible customer service and they need to review their policies and make sure that the kids that work there know how to provide customer service, especially for people who go out of their way to get there. (woot so I thought) I politely walk up to them to see what they have to offer and one of them was looking at her nails, talking to the other one. It wasn't until I repeated my question 3x before she answered. "No. It'll be $20." What was my question you ask? "My nephew loves the 49ers, and he would be so stoked to see this. I've had a terrible year and can't afford your calendar, can I get a picture?" I couldn't help but leave feeling like she was a money hungry w***e with no sense of the christmas spirit. Moreover, she did not represent her team, nor Shoe Palace well. I will never buy another pair of shoes from there ever. All I can say is that I received amazing customer service today. I went in looking for some back to school shoes for my son. Yes, its already that time of year again. After a few minutes of browsing around I was approached by Adam to see if there was anything he could help me with. I usually never fails that I take all the time to find a shoe I like only to ask for a size and they go back and look only to find they don't have it in stock. So today I just told him what I'm looking for (black or grey shoe with no red or blue on it, in a size 4). Adam already knew which shoes to point out for me that he would be able to bring out. He was very friendly and was happy to run back and forth multiple times as I changed my mind and wanted to see more options. Many times employees could get irritated with this. Anyway, he then helped me find the perfect shoes to fit my fat footed baby and some great birthday gifts for my husband. Before I left he shook my hand and said to just ask for him any time I came back and needed help again. He even offered to hold my bags while I shopped around the mall. As soon as he saw me walk in to pick them up, he excused himself from the couple he was helping, ran over and got my bags before I even had a chance to reach the counter.
