Came in to do a return .. we are at Valley Fair right ? Well I formed a line behind a woman and her kids paying for shoes . When out of nowhere an older lady and her son tried to cut me off ? Like hello I'm right here waiting for my turn .. Anyways Javen the cashier was already seeing what was happening and helped me first even after the lady kept inching forward and tried placing her shirt on the counter . Javen was very kind and understanding of the entire situation and my return was seamless. I had explained I was at Eastridge and purchased some low dunks but didn't love the Nike logo "sticking out " . The store its self is pretty tidy and plenty of workers ready to assist with finding right sizes , or answer questions. Store size is on the smaller side compared to Eastridge Mall plus this one only has 1 store not 2. Thanks for your help Javen ! read more

Two Shoe Palace stores which are right across each other... I am sure there is a good reason for this but I only went to this location inside since the 23 jersey caught my eye and ...my wallet. Nice big store that is well lit and has a good inventory of shows and sport clothing. read more

I don't know why this store has such a low rating. Always got a great selection of clothes. Great selection of the best shoes but I want to give a big thank you to Jasmine and the ladies at Shoe Palace in Valley Fair Mall. Your exceptional help truly made my day easier and more enjoyable, especially during a busy moment when I was rushing to lace up my Jordans. Your kindness and willingness to help mean a lot to me -- I really appreciate it. Thanks for making it happen and for your great customer service!" read more

Went in to buy some stuff but had a bunch of other items from previous stores and asked a short girl for a bag and she looked at me with a big grin on her face "we can't give away our bags" I said ok I will buy one for 10 cents and she goes "no you have to but something" with a huge evil smile on her face. Thankfully the manager stepped in and gave me one before we bought 3 pairs of shoes. Border line might not come back. read more

The worst costumer service EVER! Rude Manager, very disrespectful, disgusting and racist staff. I bought a pair of nikes a week ago, and went to return it, they refused and wouldn't accept it. The actual brands have return policies but these cheap stores even leave a bad reputation for the entire brand. Don't buy anything from here it's better to go the actual brand stores. read more

horrible. waited 30 minutes for shoes to be brought out. in the end they didn't even bring out the shoes i asked for.

I have to give a big shout out to Isaac at Valleyfair. He went above and beyond to provide an excellent customer experience and this is why the only Brick and mortar store my wife and I go to anymore is Shoe Palace. not Nike, footlocker or any of the boutiques. considering how big shoe palace is, Isaac's care really stands out and it's the reason why I'm happy to buy other, less limited GR shoes whenever I do come in. well done read more

I came in to ask a question about my online order, and the employee responded that my question was above his pay grade. @Shoe Palace--maybe hire people with better customer service skills or pay them more? read more

Mid customer service. Went in there because I saw they had a shoe I wanted on display. You know when you like can't decide between two sizes? Well I tried on one pair and wanted to try a size down. They took away the shoe I was originally trying on and then would bring me out the other shoe size. I mean I get they probably don't want people stealing (which would be nearly impossible because they always just bring out one shoe and never the whole pair) Did I forget to mention that I had to lace up all these shoes myself? In all my time entering a shoe store, they usually do that for you. So my time in there definitely took longer. I then asked if I could try it in a diff color but you can tell that they are somewhat uneducated about their products because they brought me a shoe that was similar to what I asked for, but not the actual thing. Finally they let me keep both shoe sizes to try on. Another time I asked for a half size smaller but the employee brought me a half size smaller in a MEN's size which meant I was getting a whole size up in women's. At this point i gave up on those pairs of shoes. Just wanted to pay and get out of there. In the end I had to tell the employee that they were giving the wrong style of shoe I had asked for which is why it didn't feel right. Anyway, wouldn't shop here unless you were in dire need of a shoe you've been eyeing for a long time. You can go somewhere else. read more

Came in at 4:20 PM on Tuesday, September 20th for a quick pair and walked in to 3 employees all standing up front talking. Walked past all 3 of them (1 female and 2 males) and not one of them said a word. I guess their conversation was better than selling 3 pairs of shoes. read more

Watch out for the two-for-one sale. It's a scam to get you to buy extremely overpriced and unpopular shorts in order to get a free cheap white t-shirt. if you take advantage of this 241, just get yourself to t-shirts. so many customers have been turned off by this scam, the cashier actually react immediately when you say, what the heck $60? She replies with, would you rather just get two t-shirts? read more

Since my last review, I've visited various store locations in the Bay Area and have noticed tremendous improvement in the quality of customer service shown by employees at Shoe Palace. Well done! The fashion trends and high quality of their products make Shoe Palace my go to now especially for the sneaker heads in my life. I can always find last minute gifts for my friends and family here and sometimes save extra with in store deals. read more

Having worked at a Shoe Palace flagship location a while ago, I know that workers are supposed to deliver a 5-star "Ultimate Experience" for their customers. No exceptions. Today unfortunately was the exception. Almost everyone here seemed short and in a rush to get a sale. I stopped by Foot Locker, Champs, and Vans, and all the other stores in the mall after my purchase to see if maybe it was like that across the board for Valley Fair before writing this review, but nope it's just this store. I asked to try on a pair of shoes in two sizes at the same time to compare. The guy gave me a single shoe and walked away. When I asked for the other shoe, he asked for the shoe back before fetching the other size even though I wanted to compare it side-by-side. This was a first for me. Never had I had this unusual request. I obliged anyways, and to no surprise he walked away again lol. Okay buddy. I purchased the pair anyways to give back to Shoe Palace but I won't be returning to this location. What a poor reflection of the company culture. Shoutout to Maria, the only friendly person that looked like she cared about working here. Bumped this up to a 2/5 from what otherwise would be a 0. Management, I'll leave this link here to remind your staff of what it should be like to work here: https://www.shoepalace.com/about-us/ read more

The staff here are rude I came in here with my boyfriend to buy shoes and the girls were rude to me I was kind to them

Customer service was trash ... How the manager Andre come over to the register from the front of the store just to help the 2 pretty girls in front of us then as we walk up to check out he just walks off leaving me and my girl and another person behind us waiting for someone to help us straight out of a movie bruh ... Then when someone comes over after a few minutes the guy barely says anything and when I give him the cash he doesn't ask me if I want my change he just closes the register ... it was only like a quarter but what if I was someone who did care about it and wanted my change? He didn't even say thank you or none bruh yall read more

They have a wide selection of footwear but the service is just atrocious. I try to get some help but the dude is just trying to hit on his chick co worker so I force my way in for some help and he just shows a lot of attitude. I did end up getting the shoes (ultraboosts) but in hindsight I should have chosen elsewhere. Very unwelcoming vibes by the workers. I looked at the reviews and it turns out I wasnt the only one who experienced poor service. Not sure how some people said they had an amazing time but in my experience it was horrible read more

Worst experience ever. They sell u a shoe, and when it fails they won't handle it or refund you. This place and the entire chain is a joke, the website is down, the attitude is horrible, it's just a waste of time and money. Take your business elsewhere as they just see you as a wallet. read more

Wow this place is trash! It looks like they remodeled the outside, but the inside is so bad with customer service that it makes you want to run out. My boyfriend brought me here to get some new shoes for my birthday and I was pretty excited to see what they have. We didn't even last 2 minutes. As soon as you walk in 3 employers ask what you're looking for. Okay, they're trying to be nice, but it's so overbearing and they don't even give you an INCH of space! The same guy that bugged us (short guy, with acne on his face) came up to us AGAIN and even shoved my boyfriend to the side to ask why are we in there. ITS A SHOE PLACE? Long story short, we left as soon as we could. No respect in this place and I would suggest buying your shoes somewhere else! read more

You know what? F- THIS PLACE! For real. This one dude that works there (I think he's the boss of the place or something) is so EFFIN pushy when it comes to shoe shopping. At least give me a few minutes to think of what these sneakers can match with, or at least let me look at the prices. Don't keep asking me if I need a size, I'M JUST LOOKING! I remember coming in one day to get a pair of Vans Sk8 Hi's, and I had asked for a size 10 in the Black and White checkered pattern. Homeboy comes out with a pair of size 10's, but Khaki/Espresso? You get an E for effort, but dude, if you don't have it, don't offer me another pair in a different colorway like that. What's with those other employees? One of them approached my brother and I, and asked us about sneakers and if we collected them or not. He said he had some legit Tiffany SB's, but he's wearing Vans. Like, for real? You guys don't sell SB's, so don't be talking to me about them, and how the hell would I know if you really had them or not? You ain't gotta lie to kick it. I'm not impressed, and that doesn't make me want to buy sneakers from here. This place is so tired to me. It's an eyesore. The customer service sucks, the music they play sucks, the layout of the store sucks and the fact that they had to put the location at Valleyfair sucks. I mean, come on, they already have a crappy place for all that stuff, and it's called AGAINST ALL ODDS! read more

Terrible customer service. I live in SF and went to the Shoe Palace in Serramonte. They didn't have the shoe I wanted but they said Valley Fair did and they could call to hold them. They had a hard time already getting a hold of them and had to keep calling back to get an answer. When they finally answered they said they could hold the shoes for us today. We drove over an hour to get to Valley Fair and when we got there, they said they only hold items for an hour and they sold the last pair. That's insane considering they knew where we were coming from and that we were told they would hold it for the whole day. When someone who was willing to help tried to, they ended up saying they could only call another store to hold it which would have been another hour drive. Terrible customer service and they need to review their policies and make sure that the kids that work there know how to provide customer service, especially for people who go out of their way to get there. Awful store. read more

I came to this store trying to find a pair of shoes in my size and color after having a terrible experience at Foot Locker. Really bad customer service. They were all standing around talking to each other. Did not display common courtesy to me or any other customers walking in and out. Let's face it, Shoe Palace has the reputation of hiring douchebags and they're douchebags mainly because the employees are required to maintain a specific rate of sales. Their occupational survival depends on it. That's a horrid display of quality customer service. It shows on their face. Also, they hardly smile. Out of all the Shoe Palaces I've been to there has only been ONE employee ever that has smiled right at me as I walked in and asked me how my day was. Normally, I get a greeting but with an unpleasant face. But Charles had a smile. To me, he needs to be promoted to district training manager in customer service and care. Yesterday between 2pm and 3pm, I went to Valley Fair. I stopped by Shoe Palace because a couple of the 49er cheerleaders were there. (woot so I thought) I politely walk up to them to see what they have to offer and one of them was looking at her nails, talking to the other one. It wasn't until I repeated my question 3x before she answered. "No. It'll be $20." What was my question you ask? "My nephew loves the 49ers, and he would be so stoked to see this. I've had a terrible year and can't afford your calendar, can I get a picture?" I couldn't help but leave feeling like she was a money hungry w***e with no sense of the christmas spirit. Moreover, she did not represent her team, nor Shoe Palace well. I will never buy another pair of shoes from there ever. As for the cheerleaders, I understand no one likes to work during the holidays, but if you've been put in that position, and you're representing your team, you mind as well put a smile on someone's face instead of making people just as miserable as you. read more

All I can say is that I received amazing customer service today. I went in looking for some back to school shoes for my son. Yes, its already that time of year again. After a few minutes of browsing around I was approached by Adam to see if there was anything he could help me with. I usually never fails that I take all the time to find a shoe I like only to ask for a size and they go back and look only to find they don't have it in stock. So today I just told him what I'm looking for (black or grey shoe with no red or blue on it, in a size 4). Adam already knew which shoes to point out for me that he would be able to bring out. He was very friendly and was happy to run back and forth multiple times as I changed my mind and wanted to see more options. Many times employees could get irritated with this. Anyway, he then helped me find the perfect shoes to fit my fat footed baby and some great birthday gifts for my husband. Before I left he shook my hand and said to just ask for him any time I came back and needed help again. He even offered to hold my bags while I shopped around the mall. As soon as he saw me walk in to pick them up, he excused himself from the couple he was helping, ran over and got my bags before I even had a chance to reach the counter. Quality service if you ask me. As for the other employees, they were also all very polite. They even made the effort to keep both of my kids entertained during the time we were in the store. read more

They usually have the newest shoes and they are cheaper than most of the other stores. Would visit again. read more
