Pretty good! I went by previous when the store hasn't opened yet and happy to see on google maps that it was opened and they were having a grand opening special for -20% off for the Shodo tasting box (42 pieces) I opted for the special and waited approximately 30 mins for the box to be completed. I was advised by the staff from the get go that it would take 30-40 mins due to how busy the store was and orders. When I arrived at 30 mins it was completed for me to take out and go. They have seats available for you to dine there however I had other places to go. But the decor was modern and spacious. When I got home and opened the box it was nice presented and placed. I literally tried one of each of the tasting box and got full. They are pretty generous with the sashimi however the rolls were a little small imo. Overall sushi tasted good and fresh. However their aburi is lacking taste from other places I've tried. Their concept is exactly to the sushi store in Vaughan. (Iykyk).

Got the tasting box like many others since there was a $20 discount. Not really my type of sushi as all the rolls were fusion cuisine. Despite that some of the concoctions were pretty good though others were a real miss for me. I was surprised by the one tuna one on the right side of the box as it had mango in the roll and usually I find these types of fusion rolls abhorrent. However, in this case the texture and taste was pretty good. The other mango roll on the left however was way too tart and was exactly the odd fusion I'd typically avoid. The bottom left which is similar to a Vietnamese spring roll was also quite greasy. There unfortunately was also a wire-like strand in the food. Really not sure what to say about this. As it was newly opened many people were curious and it was busy. About 30-45 minute wait for the tasting box. There is a dine in option but it seems the service is more of a pick up your order at the counter when ready. For the 42 piece box it is regularly $78. Unless you really love fusion rolls I'd say it probably isn't worth it. Better off getting a sushi tray from elsewhere with good quality for $50-60 instead. Or if you're looking for 'premium' type fish there are other places like Taro's sushi or J-San which offer comparable or better for similar pricing. Or if you're going for better quality you could go for some omakases now for slightly more with a much better experience and quality. But if a miss for me. Given the numerous other choices in the plaza for great food I probably wouldn't come here again.

Tried the premium tasting box here. This is a casual spot, you order at the counter and can either takeout or dine in. On a weekend night this spot was surprisingly not busy and we were the only ones dining in. I would say presentation is the best aspect here. The sushi looks so aesthetically pleasing! Between all the different rolls though, I felt like there was nothing that blew my mind. The sushi was fresh, but had a tad more rice than my liking. My friend ordered the takoyaki and said it tasted good. This seems to be a decent option for a higher priced point type of sushi platter if you're looking to bring something to a party or picnic.

July 21, 2025 - My 4yr old niece loves sushi (avocado only)... so I ordered a few avocado rolls and some sushi for us. The food was good, I really liked the torched salmon! So delicious! Staff were very friendly and service was reasonable. Definitely worth a try. A bit pricey, but good quality food and nicely packaged.

Premium sushi that is SO worth it!! I left it overnight in the fridge since the box was huge and it still tasted fresh! There is a lot of variety and textures going on in each piece, so it was definitely a good experience. The pretty presentation is also a plus! They also have Japanese drinks available to pair with your meal!

Quick casual place to eat as you order at the counter. Variety of roll selection. Their premium box is a nice experience, I'd recommend sharing it with a few others, the rolls are very saucy and heavy. There's a lot going on in each roll like the tobiko, dried onion bits, garlic bits...but the sauce made it hard to taste the fish or the toppings. Our favorite was the summer rolls, it was light and a nice break from the heavier rolls. Fish quality was decent, wouldn't be our go to spot for that reason, and it's on the pricier side.

Went in for their grand opening promo that was $20 off of $78 this weekend for their 42pc Tasting Platter. This place offers a casual vibe but with high quality ingredients -- the fish tasted fresh, and did not taste fishy at all. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for the quality, and it was plenty enough for two people! The staff were very friendly as well !

Fusion sushi! The tasting box is a good deal and the presentation is fancy. Their sushi flavours are geared more to the western tongue, there's even taco. This box has so much dedication and creativity, they deserve more customers. But if you're aiming for the tradition sushi box with nothing more but fish and rice, you might be want to order something else from the menu

Very over priced and not at all tasty. Not worth any hype. Have had much better at AYCE establishments and that isn't saying much.

We ordered the tasting box. The box was nice but the quality of the sushi was suspect for the price.

The nigiri was decent on both deliveries with the rolls being a tad above average. I was tempted to order a bowl but wanted a more filling option. With my go to spot for sushi delivery not showing any signs of revival. This might fill the void for now. 3.5 stars

There were three add-ons (toro with caviar $25, uni with caviar $35, and caviar sushi). I opted in for the toro and uni add-ons. It was strange they give you the add-ons before any other nigiri. Everything was very good and fresh. Standouts for me was the appetizer, all three cuts of bluefin tuna, the lobster (by far my favorite), and the hotaru ika. I would've appreciated knowing that the omakase included or not included toro and uni before I decided on the add-ons but I don't regret it. It was a splurge night after all. Service was very attentive. Note that the dining space is very small. 12 seats around the counter and two tables. There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.

The space itself leans more modern and clean rather than the typical dark, cozy izakaya vibe, which I actually didn't mind. It felt comfortable, not too loud, and easy to settle into for a slow dinner. We ordered a mix of small plates to share, and everything came out looking nicely put together. The aburi-style salmon sushi was one of the highlights for me.. lightly seared, with a soft texture and just enough flavor on top without being overwhelming. The tuna tataki was also fresh and clean, simple but well done. Some of the fried dishes leaned a bit richer with the creamy sauces, but they were still enjoyable, especially if you're in the mood for something a little more indulgent. The beef fried rice was straightforward but satisfying, one of those dishes that's easy to keep going back to between everything else. Drinks were a nice touch too.. refreshing, nicely presented, and added to the overall experience. Overall, this feels like a solid spot for a casual night out with friends.
