They not only cancelled on me 5 different times, they lied that they came and cleaned my apartment (I hadn't yet moved in)! After finally getting ahold of them and having them clean, I came to my apartment a few days later and it was barely cleaned. I sent pictures of dust and dirt all over the floor and she wouldn't even give me a discount. The cleaning includes dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, moping, dish cleaning, as well as laundry folding. They also take out the garbage, straighten out the furniture, and change bedding sheets and blankets. The cleaning appointments always go very well. I always feel comfortable having them and their employees in my home. The ladies arrive on time and do an excellent job of cleaning my home. The ladies take good care of my cleaning equipment and do not waste cleaning supplies. My home always ends up very clean and I am always happy with the results. I will continue to use them and I highly recommend them.

I specified I wanted a deep clean of the kitchen especially, with special attention given to the common areas. When I came home, the cabinets and baseboards of the kitchen were still obviously dirty and appeared to be untouched. I was under the impression they had finished deep cleaning all the rooms and needless to say, I was upset. There was a layer of dust on the baseboards I could pick up with my finger. The morning after, I discovered someone tried to clean my tea kettle but failed to rinse out the soap left in the tea kettle. Needless to say, I ended up having soapy tea because of this. I alerted the owner, Sonia regarding my concerns, to which she said that because I have an old kitchen, it will never look new again. I explained twice to her that my kitchen is not old, I rehabbed it four years ago but she didn't seem to listen to me. I alerted her of my concerns and she did not valid them, just offered to bring in someone to clean for two hours the following day for free. Ok, maybe a bit of a repair. Nope, three people came, one of which was the owner Sonia. She said they would be there for about 45 minutes and clean simultaneously. They were there for maybe 30 minutes and spent most of the time whispering to each other, probably about me. Don't use this service. Their communication is poor and in trying to repair a customer service breakdown, they end up whispering to each other instead of cleaning. If they were more upfront about what was needed to clean my home, I would have been understanding. Instead she made me feel like shit, implying I never clean and it's my fault that they couldn't clean sufficiently. I work four jobs and have an infant daughter, I don't always have the time to deep clean my hone. I was hoping they could help but instead they made me feel like shit and did a subpar job.

However, I would feel remiss if I did not update this to reflect the current state of the union. I do believe Anna is/was having some pretty serious health issues that impacted her ability to show up for appointments, respond in a timely manner via phone or text, and just overall achieve good customer service. I've heard this from several friends of mine as well...and though it saddens me, I do not want folks to be misled by my original review from 2009. During her last cleaning for me (when I was moving out of my house 6 weeks ago, and getting it spiffed for a new tenant) she was so very sweet, did a fabulous job and told me not to lose touch because she had known me for awhile. I believe in Anna, and her abilities and certainly cherish her as a person...but as of now, cannot recommend any new clients contact her for cleaning for everyone's sake. I certainly hope it changes...and wish Anna the best! Right now though...I'd look elsewhere for a new cleaning gal.

Even still with all of the following hassle it's NOT WORTH HIRING HER. 1500 sq ft apartment, 2 bedroom 1 bath, 3 1/2 hrs of work = $120 She was given a key and set up to come every 3 weeks for $80 She even confirmed the day (Monday) and time. She didn't show up that day or the next, or the next, so on. That week emails were sent with no response. Friday, Anna sends an email that she will come this Monday. Monday no Anna, more emails, then I start to call. At this point I just wanted my key back but got no response and to this day still haven't. I had to have the locks changed $150 but I am more upset that a person would take your keys and not realize how important TRUST is. Then I read the review about how she STOLE something from someone, it made my sleepless nights wondering if someone would break in valid. I still may contact some people about Anna to get my $150 back, but this is a good start... WARNING others about her!!

They also asked if I would consider revisiting my review once we came to a resolution. I responded the same day. I explained that my original vacuum cost approximately $200 and that, although I would have preferred to replace it with a comparable model, I deliberately purchased a less expensive replacement for $108.49 in an effort to keep things fair. I also noted that I had originally asked the company to reimburse only half of that amount, but that request was declined & I was directed to pursue the matter through the company's insurance. Given the considerable time and back-and-forth that had already gone into this matter, I asked that the company reimburse the full $108.49 replacement cost and advised that I would update my review to reflect any resolution reached. As of August 2, I have received no response. I am adding this update because it is part of my experience with this company. They reopened the discussion, asked me to propose a fair resolution, and I responded the same day. Since then, there has been no further communication.

They are thorough, professional, on time and super friendly. They cleaned non-stop for 2 hours and left everything spottless, including my cabinet doors which, no matter how I tried I could not get clean. I just had them back for a second cleaning and they were just a fantastic. HRD has my business and I will highly recommend!
