I had such a great experience at Shiso. The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh, looked great, and well prepared. You can tell they really care about quality and detail. But what truly made the night special was our server, Juan. He was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave excellent recommendations. He made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend Shiso, and if you can, ask for Juan he's fantastic!!

Went for the inaugural music event at On & On, so this is not a review of Shiso. Lovely rooftop, super elegant vibe. Open air but covered. It was a R&B/hip hop with jazz vibes live band. Bar was awful, good luck getting a drink. Servers seemed overwhelmed . I gave up trying to order and just enjoyed the set. Will definitely return to try the restaurant

Uni rice bowl? You mean the key to my heart? :) Missing NYC vibes and good food, my cousins and I decided to visit Shiso, an Asian smokehouse located in Wynwood Miami. I'd say a Successful night with my girls. We ordered with our eyes and I'm glad we did! We inhaled every dish and washed them down with espresso martinis while catching up on our daily lives. Thank you to our server. Beautiful people all around, will visit again!

I stopped by Shiso with a couple of friends after enjoying the nearby Elite Event in order to keep the night going a little longer. Located on the second floor of a building in the heart of Wynwood, right on NW 2nd Ave., this restaurant played loungey downtempo R&B, and great drinks perfect for a nightcap. The vibe was dim light and service attentive. I sipped on their rum cocktail that had two types of rum and was blended well enough just perfect for a light buzz and to keep the party going. The mixer tasted almost like classic lemonade. I didn't eat any of the food as I had eaten elsewhere, and why I am only making this a four star review. I want to come back and get the full experience. However, I did share their tasty and creative presentation of a baked Alaska based on one of my friends recommendations. Shiso's baked Alaska is served on a bed of cornbread, giving it a crispier, almost earthier base that contrasts wonderfully with the sweeter topping. I know this is something I'll try when I come back for a full meal.

Went for happy hour as it's only available if you sit at the bar which was pretty full. This Asian smokehouse restaurant in Wynwood fits the vibe, eclectic & artsy, very big space. We ordered 2 calendulitas, tequila based cocktails which were pretty good. We ordered the salmon belly handrolls, smoked chicken lollipops, crispy conch appetizers and Shiso salad from their HH menu. Our favorite was the salmon belly handrolls as it had a nice crunch to it. We also ordered seabass crudo from the regular menu yet that was our least favorite but the plating was pretty. The bartender that tended to us was nice but another bartender was not as nice when we asked for a Japanese spice as if he had no idea what we were talking about? We were hoping to try more smoked options considering it's a smokehouse if they had smoked fish or seafood options but as we do not eat beef or pork, smoked chicken lollipops was what the bartender recommended. I forgot to take pictures of those. They were pretty good. They also have a great outdoor bar with live entertainment that starts after 8 I think but we left before it started.

Came here for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised with the selection of drinks and bites. We sat at the bar and I loved the upscale feel and the fact that it was outside. I asked the bartender for recommendations and both things I still think about to this day. Also the servers were very professional yet friendly. The pork shishito pepper skewers sounded weird at first but they had so much flavor and were standout. My favorite item were the short rib croquettes. The little sauces they were on took them to the next level. So light yet crispy! Would go back just for these. I would love to go back and try more things another time. Cool spot.

I wish I could rate this restaurant 6 stars. It's so rare to find a spot that does not miss and I came with a group, ordered half the menu and literally everything was delicious!! FOOD: - Hamachi 10/5: my fav thing I could have eaten a whole bowl of this by myself. It looks kinda suspicious bc of the chopped bits on top but genuinely phenomenal - salmon belly roll 5/5: fish was so fresh, there was something crispy in the roll that was so pleasant added unique texture - crispy rice (both of them) 5/5: self explanatory - oxtail udon noodles 4.5/5: i loveeee an udon noodle so chewy, there was a ton of meat in this, it was slightly sweet but also savory, so rich in flavor. A touch too salty for me! - cornbread 6/5: DELICIOUS!! Warm and served with butter - eggplant main course 3/5: not bad but not my fav, the roasted eggplant sauce was pretty good but there wasn't too much of it so the dish felt a bit dry. Very crispy exterior. DRINKS: get the Brazilian mule!!!!!! SO GOOD!!! Fresh and citrusy and the foam on top was delicious. PORTIONING: for four hungry girls, we ordered 1 sushi roll, 2 crispy rice, 2 small plates, 2 mains, and cornbread and it was the perfect amount of food. Service was amazing, they took us through the whole menu and gave excellent recs!! Same with the cocktail menu!

5 stars no less! Located in the heart of wynwood this rooftop has all the vibes. Very trendy, upscale but not too upscale that you can't show up in jeans and sneakers which we did. We order these three dishes at the recommendation of the waiter and every dish was better than the other: A5 capraccio, hamachi, conch rolls. More on the expensive side but still reasonable for miami and even though plates aren't big I left feeling full even though I came on an empty stomach. Ended up paying about $98 for all the dishes. I will come again, the flavors are so complex and on spot. If you like japanese fusion this is for you. If you like more milder japanese flavors this is a bit different. But we loveeddddddd it

This place was amazing! The atmosphere and layout of the outside seating is definitely catered towards larger parties and group settings, but they have seating for couples and smaller parties with great views as well. We had the duck dumplings and croquettes which were exceptional, but the main dishes we would get again and again were the oxtail udon noodles and the pork belly. On top of that, the cornbread baked Alaska was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time! If you're looking for great ambience, atmosphere, terrific service, and some truly incredible dishes, then you need to come to Shiso.

Shiso had been on my Hit List for a while and I had the opportunity to go here after an evening at the Arsht Center and Ailey II. Glad we made it. Glad I got here during Miami winter as I didn't realize we were in a completely open area. I may have been miserable trying to eat here during our 95° summers. Food 10/10 We had a great server and went with all his recommendations. All great choices. I missed capturing a few of our dishes. Stand-outs for me included the duck potstickers, the octopus and the Cornish Hen two ways. The cornbread was recommended to us in a couple dishes, but I passed. By the time we had dessert, I gave in and tried the cornbread dessert. Best choice of the night! I'd go back just for this dessert. Service 100/10 Our waiter was professional and knowledgeable. He left before we finished, but he made sure we understood what was happening and who would take care of us after he left. Again, his recommendations were amazing, no regrets! Ambiance 8/10 For me, this place is fabulous . . . during our winter. The DJ played even though we were the last people there. This night it seemed like the music was all dance/trance. I wonder how they do on the two nights a year we hit 50° and from April through November. If you're a foodie and you've somehow not gone here yet, it's definitely worth a trip. The sushi + grill concept exceeds expectations. I'll return just to try every cornbread dish on the menu.

What went well? The food, the service AND, the Ambiance! I loved everything about my evening with my "little" cousin (she's 33) and her cousin, celebrating 35. We had a lovely time; SHISO made sure of it! To my delight, this is truly a spot to go with people who love to share! This was my 2nd time visiting Shiso. My first trip was for Happy Hour and I was definitely not disappointed. I drink gin martinis which is not on the happy hour. My bites were absolutely delish! Duck dumpling, Smoked Brisket Croquette (damn); and i loved the Sausage Stiffed Shishito Peppers! These were about $10 each and, if I recall correctly, 2 pieces each. This time I made a reservation for a table of 3 to have a proper table: too hard to chat at bar; plus, I booked with RESY so t could pay with my AMEX card and spend my $100 credit! (Remember, this $100 credit is four (4) times a year! We ordered the Hamachi and same appetizer that I had before since I raved so; but definitely a different price point (Hamachi $23, Duck $24, Sausage $17, Croquette $16) as the servings were generous for sharing. Our large plate was the Chilean Seabass in Coconut Curry, Miso butter & herbs ($46).?The staff brought a lovely birthday treat. Overall, i considered it Pricey but worth the money for a special occasion; I am still out to lunch on the price of that cornbread... I would do Happy Hour in a heartbeat! Highly recommend Ambiance is fab! Wait staff attentive and it is always nice to be remembered and welcomed back from my very first visit! She's a great bartender; sane and stopped to recognize me. Makes uou feel good!

Pleasant and forgettable experience. Great drinks, huge space, amazing speakers. The service is slow and disjointed + the menu is a bit all over the place. However, every dish was prepared well and was enjoyable :)

Went for a drink and a bite at the bar and it was a whole vibe from the lighting to the energy in the room (perfect for a nice dinner date.) The bartender was also very helpful when it came to getting recommendations from the menu, and was always very attentive. Love that this spot was at a roof top area and would have never known it was there if i wasn't told by a friend. Would definitely return.

I can't (nor my wife) recall what she ordered but I kicked things off with the Mexpresso Martini and then took Christian's rec of the Un Ultimo Beso. Recall what I mentioned at the beginning? MMM THOSE TASTE DAMN GOOD Food is off the walls too! Thank you all @ Presidente!

Each course was thoughtfully designed and was delicious at every bite. I especially loved the crudo and dessert. This was my first time having crudo with a coconut milk base and it was to die for. The dessert had so many different textures, you could tell lots of artistry went into creating it. While I've had many salmon dishes, I'd never had it sous vide. It comes out almost a medium rare texture and is very soft, not the typical flaky style, but it was very well accompanied by the sauce and crispy skin. Heads up, they add a 20% gratuity to the check

My expectations of a Michelin Star restaurant is not what we experienced at Le Jardinier. Makes…read moreone question if Michelin has lost its magic... We arrived on time for our reservation made for "INSIDE SEATING" (note you will have to pay to make a reservation.) The unfriendly hostess walked us to an outdoor table - that despite the multitude of fans - was humid and uncomfortable. When I told her we didn't want a table outside it seemed to bother her and her response: we are really full I won't promise you anything (eye roll) and she proceeds to walk back through the aisle of empty tables to the front desk. Behind us was a couple who arrived AFTER we did. And can you believe they were escorted without an issue to the upstairs INSIDE SEATING dining area - to the very tables they apparently did not have for us!!! I have to wonder if this was profiling or she just didn't like our face? Guess not all guest are created equal here. Forced to seat us inside after my husband showed her the reservation for INSIDE seating she "accommodates" us downstairs next to the bathrooms in a tight miniature table on uncomfortable plastic wicker chairs between two large groups where we couldn't get out of our seat and had the view of a water damaged ceiling over our heads. After what seemed like quite a while the waiter (poor guy) came to greet us. Now this was the only highlight of this erroneous Michelin Star establishment. He seemed overworked with all the tables in that area but was polite attentive and funny. So pleasant that I wonder why he's working in this place. I had to ask for the bread that never came on its own. The drinks were ok. The food: Lobster - the pastry was soggy on the bottom and tasted slightly burnt on the outer crispy corners. The lobster was well cooked and the sauce was good but nothing spectacular. Hanger steak - the steak was very good - cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare). The sweet potato cakes crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the mushroom were cooked to perfection. Wish there was more of it, you get 2 sweet potato cakes the size of a strip of gum and 3 mushrooms slices. The halibut - hands down the most delicious thing on the menu. The fish was fresh and the caviar sauce was really exceptional - wish I had a spoon. Chocolate caramel - The dessert was a mix of flavor the chocolate has a tangy taste, the ice cream on the bottom was a nice surprise, however it left much to be desired - we left half on the plate. All in all the front of the house sets the tone and the horrid attitude of the hostess and the way she refused to sit us upstairs in our reserved requested dining area, soured our experience from the start. My understanding is that a Michelin Star is a highly sought status that entails the full experience of a dining establishment and I'm sorry to say they should rethink giving Le Jardinier this award in the future. Don't come here.

We came in on a Monday around 6pm and ordered off the happy hour menu. The brussel sprouts were out of this world good! The sauce they put on it is sweet and lightly spicy, and the little bits of bacon were a happy, salty surprise. The beef and chicken empanadas were also delicious. The chicken had tons of cheese, but the beef was my favorite, it was so flavorful! We ordered the pistachio cake with white chocolate ice cream, and raspberry sauce. It was so refreshing and a perfect pairing of flavors. I wish there was a little more cake, but I'm not complaining. I will absolutely be back. And next time, I gotta try their cocktails.

They don't appear to be big enough to handle a group this large, but they did it! Latin American food that was wonderful. They make a Pulpo Al Olivo that is the cat's pajamas. A great Ribeye empanada and finally, a mouth watering Grilled Branzino. All 10 star, all reasonably priced. The staff were the best. Very professional and very efficient. In the end, they all received a huge tip. We will definitely be revisiting this location. 12/25
