Cash only or venmo. When it gets busy, the order can take a bit of time, but with this, patience is a virtue and really, it is just one guy and he's super nice. The spot is a small, cozy place for a nice small brunch with a few friends. FOOD: All crepes that I've tried here are pretty dang good. Each one with a side of a simple garden salad that helps lighten up your plate and a nice serving of potatoes that are your standard breakfast potatoes but done well. Crepe itself is light and crispy, each filled with a very solid amount of well thought out combination of fillings that are each cooked to perfection. Most recently I had the puttanesca, which was served with a side of sour cream. This combination of flavors with the cheese, mushrooms, and sour cream was an excellent way to start my day. I've also had the curry crepe as well which is also an interesting combination but overall delicious as well. A bit more depth of flavor with the curry. Overall, a super cute place to have a nice brunch. The owner is super kind and does a great job with this place. I will definitely be back - see you there.

It would really help if they had printed menus and clearer descriptions of what comes with each plate. Also, they only accept cash or Venmo, a sign outside letting customers know ahead of time would be helpful. The food itself was okay but pretty bland. The omelets and potatoes lacked seasoning, and the toast was just plain buttered bread. Overall, it felt basic for the price. Unfortunately, we probably won't be returning, as there are other better breakfast spots nearby that offer more value and flavor.

The salads are super fresh and crispy, too, and love their pickled veg add ons - not just the typical after thought side salad; I actually eat it all. Their rice is so yummy and their chicken is juicy and not overcooked. They have dog and kid friendly outdoor seating (both covered and not covered). They also have a nice bathroom that's always clean. Staff is so friendly and kind and always remember me. They also do takeout! Give them a bit of time to prep your food; they make it to order and it's worth the wait for such a fresh taste. Highly, highly recommend this place.

Then you happen upon Mesopotamia Kitchen, and you order and sit down and enjoy your food, although it's overpriced and really really messy, but you predicted that, and you like it more and more as you continue your jaunt down 24th, literally, because the street is starting to go downhill, and you decide to walk all the way to the Mission because you've done this out of late-bus necessity before. You never do that? Lucky for you, because I do this kind of thing all the time, and it drives me crazy. Food is good, people are nice. Ambiance is on the meh side of fancy or the fancy side of meh; you be the judge. It's a nice place to eat on a carefree day off from work. Noe Valley usually disappoints, but when it surprises, it surprises well beyond expectations. Or at least my expectations, which for Noe Valley are woefully low.

Everything about my recent experience here deserves 6 *'s…read more First I'd like to give a big shout out and Thank You to our main server Ivan Duarte. Ivan was so personable and frequently checked in as to how were we doing and was everything o.k., OK, it was FABULOUS. We were a chatty bunch and he also would sweep in so quietly removing plates, always keeping our water glasses and coffee cups full. Ambiance inside - wonderful reuse of materials such as the "grater light fixtures" over the kitchen to the "spoon clock" on the wall. All casting a warm and inviting glow. Every table well set and spotless. Oh and let me also mention all the behind the scenes work was quiet as a church mouse, something myself and my senior friends always appreciate. O.K., let's talk food, presentation and timing: For starters we had - Grilled Halloumi Cheese Date & artichoke tapenade served with grilled pita - $16.50 Now I know what the "sweet dip" was and it was delicious. 2 folks had the - Fried Calamari Salad Cherry tomato, Kalamata olive, feta, spicy aioli - $19 The presentation was executed so beautifully and the portion more than plentiful. Believe me, they did not skimp on the Calamari. Thankfully my guests let me have a forkful and it was also "Delicious". I had the - Cobb Salad, Grilled marinated Mary's chicken, Applewood smoked bacon, avocado, egg, gorgonzola, cherry tomato - $21.50 I usually prefer a Bleu Cheese dressing, but the dressing they provided which I'm not sure of the ingredients paired perfectly with the salad. I always order dressing on the side so I can control the portion of dressing to the salad. Last up - Spanakopita, Hand-rolled spinach and feta stuffed pastry- $16 This order was presented with 2 very large squares of Spanakopita, Light, airy, hot and so very flavorful. Once again, executed perfectly. With little chagrin on all our faces as our plates looked as if they had been licked clean, we all dove in for dessert. We shared the Brioche Pudding - $9 which was a light airy puffy cloud on a caramel drizzle with a wee bit of ice cream served warm. We were all speechless, it was soooo good. Not like any Brioche any of us have ever had before. And 2 of these delights - Galaktoboureko Phyllo Pastry - $9 with Semolina Custard Filling, Huckleberry Compote, Almonds served HOT therefore bringing out the flavor of all the ingredients. I mention the prices as it may seem pricey, yet it's not really, due to the presentation, execution, portions and quality. I guarantee you will Not be disappointed. Grateful for the experience. I will be back as everything we did not eat looked delicious.

I enjoyed the house red on the happy hour, which was a Syrah. From the happy hour menu we had the Mezze plate which was humongous and came with hummus and tzatziki, you could dip with either the soft pita bread, or crunchy red, bell pepper or cucumber strips. Also tried the Avgolemono soup - I always enjoy a hearty chicken and rice soup, and this one is definitely for fans of lemon forward flavoring. The Kale salad was great as well - I liked the generous amounts on crispy onions by the huge shareable salad. The Lamb gyro was really tender and flavorful - a bit to oregano forward for me , but my husband loved it . Service was average. Loved the al fresco dining in downtown Noe valley

When we arrived at around 7:30 pm, there were tables available. It's a comfortable cafe-like restaurant with mural paintings on the wall. Service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the ambiance and waitstaff. ***OUR PICKS*** BEEF SHAWERMA ENTREE ~ the beef was overly salted, saffron rice was ok, hummus was really thick, like peanut butter. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Sadly, probably won't be back.

The original plan was to grab some lunch items at Whole Foods, but who doesn't want to try a new restaurant?! Walking into the restaurant, it's a little unclear if you order the counter and they bring you food or if you're seated and you order at the table. We quickly figured out that your order at the counter and then grab one of the tables and they will bring you your order. I found the restaurant to be unkept, and most of the tables that did not have customers sitting at them were super dirty. The tables hadn't been cleaned from the previous customer/customers. We had already ordered and it was that quick mental conversation of are we expected to clean the table so that we can dine there or what. Thankfully, a bus boy appeared, and he didn't seem overly eager to want to clean the table that we were standing at but instead wanted to clean one that someone was dining at. It was kind of odd. He took a couple of swipes at the table and it really just removed the food that someone had dropped all over the table. Just not a comforting feeling when you know that you'll be dining in that same spot. Our food came out fairly quickly, and I was super excited to have a good meal. We ordered the lunch special, which included a lentil/garbanzo, bean side, CTM ( chicken, tikka masala), rice, and naan. We ordered one mango lassi to share because we figured it was easier to try it, then order too much. You can always order more, right?! The mango lassi was very underwhelming. It locked through mango flavor, and that hint of tanginess. I just felt like I was drinking warm mango juice. I definitely have had better. With the lunch plate, we upgraded the naan to the cheese naan. I love carbs like anyone else does, but I found this to be basically bread that someone had put curry flavor in with a couple of cubes of cheese. So basically curry powdered bread. Yuck. The CTM, I found the chicken to be very sparse in terms of the portion size, and the chicken was very rubbery. It was overcooked, and I specifically had asked for little to no spice. Apparently that request was ignored. The lentil and garbanzo beans were tasty, but the garbanzo beans were undercooked, incredibly hard, and the flavor profile was really weird. It couldn't decide if it was supposed to be spicy, spicy, and salty, or something in between. The rice was OK. It had far too much fenugreek in it, and again the flavor profile, even combined with the CTM just was a little offputting. The guy behind the counter was fairly friendly, but it wasn't that warm and inviting friendliness. Is this a place I would go back to? No, not at all The one thing that I really enjoyed was the artwork on the walls.

Weirdly, I often have egg-salad sandwiches on my mind, even though I know they can be gross. I've had plenty of egg-salad disasters, sandwich and otherwise, and I'm normally a very gun-shy person, but if a place has egg salad on its menu, I'll probably order it. Wise Sons always has egg salad on its menu. The problem is that it didn't have any egg salad on hand the first two times I came here.* Whatever I had instead, both times (and I had something different each time) was delicious. I don't know why I haven't tried the latkes yet. I guess I'm not a very wise son. The place is old school and feels perfect inside. It won't transport you magically to the past like many killer authentic interiors will, but it's very easy to imagine what the inside of this store looked like in 1941 or whenever. There was never more than one other person dining in each time I came. Maybe it's because I came so late in the day? More people would make it feel like a convivial breakfast destination. Empty, it feels like a good place with good food. Yes, it's overpriced, especially with all the delicious food you can get for cheaper within a few doors of this business on 24th Street in the Mission. But Wise Sons. It's a thing, a thing I'm glad I got wise to. *Did they sell out? Just didn't bother to make it? Who orders egg salad in the 2020s, anyway?
