I have had a storage unit in this facility since 1997. I recently emptied my unit the end of this past summer and was pleasantly surprised when I saw that there was hardly any dust, not one spider web or any mouse poop inside my unit. Everything inside of my unit was perfect, like I had just put it all there yesterday. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a storage unit. They have a very secure yard and their manager Theresa is just the best!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my things. You gave me total peace of mind all these years. I very much appreciate it.

I was…read morefortunate enough to find Backbreakers Movers for the second move; I was dubious because the first mover I worked with was an expensive disaster. However, I was absolutely blown away by Backbreakers Movers. From my first phone call with Luke for a quote I was treated with courtesy and sincere personal interest regarding my situation, what I needed and how they could best provide it. This local company is clearly invested in their community and upholds the highest standards in moving families as easily and affordably as possible. From Luke, who worked through the quote with me and arranged every detail, to Michael H., my lead mover and his wonderful team, I have nothing but praise and gratitude. Michael volunteered to come by my home the day before the scheduled move to help me finish packing and get organized in order to make moving day more efficient and save me some money. Not a single item was damaged or lost; the actual move went off flawlessly. As important as the quality of the move, for me, was the friendliness and emotional support throughout this process by every single individual team member. The movers worked together like a well-oiled machine, every one of them a nice human being. I would give this moving company and its employees a 10 if I could and I recommend them, hands-down, to friends, families, and strangers alike. They are prepared to meet all of your moving needs, and they will treat you like family while doing it. They truly went above and beyond, and my satisfaction was their top priority. Thank you, Backbreakers Movers, for restoring my faith in people, for being professional and accountable. Your business is steeped in the old-fashioned, traditional values of caring about your clients and commitment to doing the very best job possible. Special thanks to Michael for his excellent leadership and his work ethic. He kept the team energized and on task and was a terrific leader. He even contacted me the day after the move was complete just to be assured that all had gone according to my satisfaction. These guys are superstars! Hopefully, I'm done moving for a while... But next time, I would not even consider going with another company. Best moving experience ever, hands-down.

The packing crew was quick, courteous and seemed competent. But later after seeing how a different BackBreakers crew unloaded and packed things the next day, I decided I would not use them to move my things into a house a year later. Particularly unnerving was the unwrapped TV set on the floor 3 feet from the door, lamp shades on top of glass lamp shades without any padding in between. I had not traveled the distance to supervise the unpacking at storage. My error. July 2025 I hired a different company to move items from storage into a home, and they discovered that a leg of an irreplaceable antique desk have been broken when it was placed into storage. I will need to hire a woodworker to repair the desk leg. Also lamp shades in a box were glass to glass without any padding around them. Two leather recliners have long-lasting indentations them from nesting upside down. In a box clearky marked "pictures" was the cookware top I'd been looking for a month. One particularly expensive original piece of art in frame was not wrapped at all and the frame set leaning against a wall in storage. Totally unacceptable. I do not recommend this company.

I try to only go in when Jeannie is working, she is a great manager and takes care of business and very professional. Greg does not do his job properly at all. I go in to make my payment on one of my two units that I have there, both have different due dates, I tell him which unit I am paying on and he pushes me to make another payment on the other unit, not happening, I am on limited income. I bring in my insurance papers and he photo copies it and doesn't put it on record so when I go in to make a payment I am being charged more for not having insurance, at least he put it in my folder so Jeannie could find it, she shouldn't have had to, it was his responsibility to put it in the system when I gave it to him. He is very lazy and horrible at counting cash back. He is useless, get rid of him and get someone that actually works and does the job you are paying him for! Jeannie is the best thing to happen to that place and you will lose her to an incompetent, lazy moron that makes her job more difficult. She shouldn't have to do his job on top of hers, get rid of him and get someone who knows what they are doing and cares about their job! I have been a customer for many years and been thru several management changes in that time and Jeannie is the best one yet so don't lose her! *Just a note to add that I do live in Everett, WA and am posting from Everett, not sure why it has me somewhere in CA*

I rented a 8'x10' unit online and arrived to find that the actual unit was 6'-4"x10'. It makes no sense that this unit was indicated as 8'x10' online when they also have a 7'x10' unit, which is $15 cheaper per month. When I asked for a price adjustment, they told me that their sizes are "approximate". This *could* be legitimate reasoning for a 7'x10' unit. But for an 8'x10' unit, it's a gross exaggeration...and on purpose. How's that for 'customer service'? In summary, if you are comparison shopping, do not trust what's listed on the website. I recommend touring and doing a measurement for yourself.
