I have rented a 10' x 30' unit for the last 6 years and although the rent price did increase periodically while it was Anchor Storage, it never jumped up in price like it recently has since being acquired by Iron Guard. Rent went up 80$ per month on my unit! NOTHING has been done to improve the facility. Gates are chincy and act like they don't want to open up all the way, turns and corners are so tight that it is extremely difficult to maneuver a moving truck or truck pulling a trailer. This is why the corners and sides of their units are all scraped up with paint from vehicles, storage units have openings in the roof line and my belongings are so covered in dirt and dust that has blown in and settled (and this storage facility is surrounded by industrial area, dirt parking lots for semi trucks and road construction so you can imagine how much dirt is flying around outside in the area). Also, and this is NASTY, so many of my belongings are covered in absolute filth from mice. Piss stains, poop droppings, mattresses and pillows that were in bags have been chewed into and left with holes. I went to the office at 9:30a this morning (they open at 9:00a). Open sign was turned off and door was locked. 9:00a opening time was posted on their window. I went to my car and tried calling the number for Iron Guard and their automated message told me to stay on the line and someone would be right with me. It played that message over and over for 10 minutes while I waited for them to answer their phone. They never did and they also never opened up their office during that time. I had gone there this morning to give my vacate notice. Guess I will have to waste my time again tomorrow. This makes me even more anxious to terminate my business with them. I do not recommend this storage facility at all. They are greedy and don't do anything to improve their grounds and units. Maybe new ownership will bring some needed changes but so far in the last 6 months I haven't noticed anything except for new signs that say Iron Guard Storage and the biggest increase in rent price that I have ever seen at a storage unit. Also, 172nd is a traffic nightmare and getting in and out of this place can be frustrating to say the least. With the Amazon building and tons of other construction in the area, it will only get worse.

I had signed up for auto pay, but they didn't charge me as agreed. I complained about this, and was emailed a contract very clearly NOT signed by me. Then they lied and said I didn't sign in person, which I did, of course, because it was very close to my home. Then the person who I spoke with said I was calling her assistant a liar. I didn't say, or think her charming assistant was a liar. I thought that SHE was liar. Bottom line, she was an incompetent person who lies and blames others when caught out. If confronted over this, she responds by bullying. She threatened to evict me if I dared to write this review on Yelp! This is NOT a person you want to deal with, in order to avoid future trouble. My unit itself is on the third floor. The elevator is in very bad condition, and actually locked me and my moving crew inside it. We had to push the emergency button to get special instructions to get out of the elevator! You also need a code to leave their yard, or you are locked into their yard! There is NO call button for that situation if you are locked into their yard. The assistant had failed to tell me I needed a code, so I had to wait for another lessee to leave in order to escape. It was winter, at night and it was cold. So, they trapped me twice. I had sold my home and moved away, so I am threatened to have to come back to Smokey Point, find and pay to move my possessions yet again, if I am evicted over this dispute, so I guess they trapped me three times. I am 73 years old, and disabled, so I cannot do it myself. I live on a fixed income, too. Don't put yourself into the situation I am in. Avoid Cascade NW Self Storage.

I have been doing biz with Everett Storage for quite some time and they are the best!…read more ~ After many years of paying on time every month to Storage Depot in Lake Stevens, where I still had some stuff, I moved out recently. I discovered that some things had somehow gotten wet and that RATS had been in my stuff! Rat turds everywhere and in my boxes!!! To this they answered "Well you've been here a while". WHAT! I was so stunned by this answer that I didn't ask for a refund of the payment I had recently made. If they were like other storage facilities I have done business with, and who pro-rate, they owe me money. However with that attitude do you think they would refund it without me asking? Yeah, sure. NOT! I find out, after speaking with others, that they are far from the best around and I want to share that information. I suggest Everett Storage to you. Great people! They have 3 very clean and convenient facilities in Everett. On Rucker you can drive INSIDE on 2 levels! There is also a moving truck available. Go use one of these facilities....NOW! :)

This place is so well maintained and the prices are really reasonable!!!…read more The manager, Theresa is an absolute sweetheart and always very accommodating for anytime I have needed to get anything in or out of my unit. I have had a storage unit in this facility since 1997. I recently emptied my unit the end of this past summer and was pleasantly surprised when I saw that there was hardly any dust, not one spider web or any mouse poop inside my unit. Everything inside of my unit was perfect, like I had just put it all there yesterday. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a storage unit. They have a very secure yard and their manager Theresa is just the best!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my things. You gave me total peace of mind all these years. When I returned the call to confirm the check had indeed been cashed, no call back to say they had made a mistake or even acknowledge the call. Then this month I get an invoice(2nd time in about 8 years) saying I now owe late charges for paying late for the last 2 months! I pay all my bills on the first of every month, so can't imagine how it could be late and have always paid this the same way for years... . You people have issues. If you don't like getting $$$ snail mail, then please set up an account that payments can be sent to electronically- like the rest of the world.
