I rented a storage unit at the Kingston location for six years, then finished moving out a day…read moreafter they charged my account for the next month. I was a day later than I was intending, I knew I would get charged. But they apparently don't believe in refunding renters at all when they move out. Other storage unit companies will pro-rate your remaining days left and pay you back. But not Attic Storage! That's $250 they're choosing to keep for pretty much nothing. Yay. On top of that, after being gone for two years, I come back to find my storage unit has had rats all throughout it, with tons of damage to my things in my unit. They say they keep the premises clean of rats, but that's definitely not true! Those are two big reasons to avoid Attic Storage, until they decide to put their customers first!

We have been with this company for 5 yrs plus.... ALWAYS PAID ON TIME!…read more We go to our unit regularly getting stuff out for the business we ran. In the past 3 weeks that we have gone here we started realizing it smelled like mold and mildew. When we confronted Mark "The manager" he told us that somebody had died with wine in their unit and when the kids cleaned the unit out they broke a bottle of wine, but he had somebody come out to "inspect the air filters and everything was fine." We have had NUMEROUS items that we have brought home .... MANY OF THEM BEING FROM YEARS N YEARS PAST GENERATIONS that are growing mold on them.... including pictures of the mild and mildew we took. When I contacted Mark I was told it could be from water damage since we are at a corner unit when water damage can happen, and "He wanted us to move, to check out possible structural damage... and he could comp us two free months in the new unit that is above ground there. When I said we were moving things out and could he refund 2 or months of what we have paid or more considering that allot of our stuff is irreplaceable.... he said No.... not an option! After going there today and showing Mark there is white mold spores on the ceiling and showing more stuff in boxes of the mold growing..... and being upset that I felt he was blowing us off... not his problem as stated in the lease .... he called back 2 HOURS LATER to tell me I'm not allowed on the property anymore because I am not on the lease. Hmmmmmmmm.... wonder why he would be so obstinate about it after over 5 years of ALWAYS PAYING ON TIME N NEVER CAUSING A PROBLEM TILL MY STUFF IS RUINED!! DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS PLACE! However, the manager Robert opened one side (two door unit) of the unit unwitnessed and then walked around to the side I was on with the help I had for the day. When I got to the house and unloaded the unit and began to look through the items I was shocked to find that the few items I basically purchased the unit for(Pex piping) had been replaced much smaller diameter pipe and about a 1/4 of what was in the picture. I called the manager Robert and left a message with a request he call me. He never called. When I returned to pick up my deposit, I asked Robert if he received my voicemail and he said he did and immediately became very hostile, aggressive, rude and vehemently denied going into the unit once the picture was taken. I asked him if he would mind showing me the security footage from the time he photographed the unit up until he opened it for me. He refused and told me that unequivocally the unit had not been touched. I asked if he would look at what I received (which I had brought with me) and compare it to what was pictured on the auction website. He refused to do that as well, and stated that I was now calling him a liar and asked me to leave and I would not be allowed to bid on any units at this facility in the future. As if I would bid on anything from them after this experience?! I also called the auction company and notified them about the theft at this facility that resulted in false advertising on their part. I called the corporate office of Vault Self Storage as well and to this day have not received a return call. RENTER/BUYER BEWARE! THIS COMPANY HAS THE INTEGRITY OF SCUM. THE COORPORATE COMPANY DOES NOT CARE IF YOU ARE STOLEN FROM, AND THEY DO NOT CARE WHO STEALS FROM YOU. IF YOU RENT A STORAGE HERE, YOU ARE SETTING YOURSELF UP TO GET RIPPED OFF. And in the process, they have DOUBLED the rent. $143 dollars a month for NON - heated storage. I've also been trapped inside the complex, due to their faulty gate. They have damaged items in my unit by pressure washing dirt, and water underneath my unit's door. You can find heated storage near by for the same price. Save your money. Rent somewhere else. They are a complete joke.

Scheduled a Uhaul pickup from this facility, very disappointed in their customer service. Went…read moreinto the facility on Dec 30th (walked in) to confirm Uhaul reservation for Dec 31st at 7a. Was told they had the reservation and told the guy we would be back right at 7a on 12/31/22. Confirmed they would be open at that time, and yes. Arrived a little after 7a, and they are closed. Called Uhaul and was told they were on holiday hours and would not open until 8a. Minor in incidence, but okay we will stick around and wait. Waited until 10-minutes after 8a, still nobody there. Called the number, straight to voice mail. Had to transfer reservation to a different facility, which thru off the day because we had certain things scheduled assuming the 7a pickup time they told us was gonna work. NOPE Would not use that facility again for renting Uhauls. Not really sure if they just don't care, or are simply not interested in being helpful. BUT, if you know your hours are gonna change MAYBE let the customer know.

I used NK Storage for a U-Haul rental in December to help my mom move after my dad passed away. The man behind the counter was having some computer difficulties but said he would figure it out and there would be no problem. I needed to pick the unit up at noon and return at noon tomorrow. That was clearly communicated during the reservation process. Today I go to pick up the U-Haul at noon and there is a sign on the window that they are closed until 1:00pm. Because we were going to Everett to move we were in a time crunch with the ferries and lining up with the help on that side so I had to find another UHaul location that was out of my way to get the right size truck for the job. When I called to let someone there know about the problem and that I was not happy she just made a bunch of excuses about the reservation being at 9am. Really? Just take ownership and apologize for the mistake but whatever you do don't give me excuses! I would find another option other that North Kitsap Storage to give your business too!
