They moved the spots and didn't update the signage. $85 fine. Wow...just wow. Others have said, deceptive tactics and unclear signage is the issue and ongoing problem with Diamond Parking. This was NOT user error, or trying to scam a free spot. I even offered to send them the invoice from the Veterinarian as proof that I was supposed to be in the garage. PLUS they had less than 10% of the spots being used so it is not as if I was taking a spot from a paying customer. There were literally over a 100 open spots.

In long We were eating a couple doors down and my lovely bride uses a wheelchair at the moment, so we went against our instincts and parking in a Joe Diamond lot. Bit us in the backside right away, didn't it? You scan a QR code to pay. Appreciated. I never carry cash anymore, so this is the move. Website does not work. You can't get to a screen where you can enter payment. Even though hundreds of thousands of websites take online payments every minute of every day, somehow this one is too buggy. But they have the resources to pay people to check lots and ticket you. So they say it's $2 to park here, won't take your money, then they fine you for not giving them your money. Since THEIR website is broken, it cost $85 to park here, instead of $2. Scumbags.

Parking is free everywhere - probably they should start charging to close the budget gap. It's always nice to come to the waterfront and enjoy view on Olympic mountains. You might see "Love where you live" phrase in the city. And that's true. And live where you love.

In addition to visiting her and the corresponding local adventures, my family had a boat for a few years that we stored in the driveway, but put in/took out of the water at Edmonds Marina. Restaurants near the marina and near Edmonds bowl/Downtown Edmonds were staples of my upbringing. The shops were also child-friendly growing up. My parents, grandma, sister, and I all liked the toy shop(s), kitchen shop(s), and a travel shaped called the Savvy Traveler. Salon 512 was where I got my haircut for several years (though when I was really young, my mom cut my bangs at home). I went to summer camps at the Anderson Center. As part of the summer camps we walked around Edmonds to different places, including walking to Yost Pool so we could go swimming. As a family, we went to Edmonds Driftwood Players Theater performances (stage) and routinely saw movies at Edmonds Theater (cinema). All of these experiences helped make Edmonds feel like an extension of home, we lived to the south in Shoreline. The City of Edmonds remains a place I continue explore with enjoyable experiences spanning a variety of business types. Traffic tends not to be too bad, as long as not during peak hours, and street parking is abundant though can fill up quickly.

Very little is offered by way of seating, covered space under which to hide from the elements (sides are all open so any light wind will bring the elements to you), and streets must be crossed in order to get anywhere off of TC Island, unless, of course, you plan to just hop on to another bus. Close-ish, proximity-wise, to Northgate Mall, but still a bit of a walk (maybe 5-10 minutes depending on your speed, traffic and the weather) to the mall entrances. Get ready, too, for some stairs!

In addition, there are numerous parking lots that riders can utilize for their commutes. Most of the routes located here are to and from downtown Seattle. Though there are a few that head further north. Route 41 is great because it has nonstop service to and from downtown making for a faster commute. There are also a few buses that go to nearby neighborhoods like Ballard, Green Lake, Wallingford and the U-District. Though you are better off taking a different route to those places if you are travelling from downtown rather than getting to Northgate and changing buses. The transit center is just okay. It seems clean enough, though not pristine. Though I don't know how I would feel waiting here at night. If you live on the north end, this should be your spot in commuting to and from downtown.
