I can't say enough good things about Judie and Liam of Guerrilla Weddings…read more Judie's the officiant, and she and I emailed back and forth for a few days before our elopement. They were flexible with everything-- the time, the place, the ceremony. She has a huge packet of sample ceremonies, so we picked one and then swapped some more personal things in like our own vows and a reading we selected. During the ceremony, Judie spoke with such a joyful tone, I truly felt like she knew us and was so happy we were getting married. Liam is the photographer, and while he might seem a little shy at first, he is a BLAST to work with. I told him that we'd like nice, bright photos, and also expressed my concern regarding some ugly fence in the background. He really made everything work, and we had a great time during our one-hour photo shoot. We got 50 pictures back (less than a week later) and LOVE every single one of them. Thank you, Judie and Liam!

We met her and Liam in the Park, the ceremony was lovely and exactly what we wanted. It was SOOOOO COLD that day, we called it early on photos (we got two hours with the package we bought). I think we froze Judie to near death, as well as my mother-in-law, but we still got some very nice pictures. Prices were very reasonable as well, if you price two hours with a photographer in NYC, you will find that these two offer a great deal.

I told Iman how my friends/family and I like to have fun, she sent me a list of venues to look into. I chose Slate based off of my DJ friend's recommendation. I received final confirmation the day of the event (12/26) and we arrived at 9pm, this was the only issue - they had down 11pm. However Elise took care of us and got us situated. It was smooth sailing from there. Comped bottle of champagne and great attention to our table made it an awesome night. I would definitely recommend BPB and use their services again. There were other events going on during our wedding and our ballroom sounded like a night club from the lobby. It was exactly what my wife and I wanted and everyone told us they had a great time. Even the staff working the venue told us that we had the best DJ and had the best party. They also brought extra things like glow sticks and sunglasses and it was just one huge party. We had a pre-wedding party for my sister and I was shocked. Everything was perfect and the food was absolutely amazing - which is something I don't ever expect from halls. My friend's baby shower was being hosted there by her family, I was helping with planning. We were told they don't allow outside vendors for background decor and their minimum packages start at $1600. This was a small event and that was out of budget for just balloons. First of all, the contact I was given was terrible at responding and communication. When I did speak to him, he tells me to meet with him and he'll work with us. Ok. Finally made an appointment with another person, she tells me, we do allow outside vendors when I told her we would rather go somewhere else. She gave me some BS excuse and then tells me they can't do anything about the balloon decor price even though the other person said he'd help. These people are disorganized and don't even speak to each other. She never mentioned other things paying extra for a seat on the stage. We left without a solution. I found another decor person who did a fabulous job at a much lower cost. The day of the party, the owner comes and says why didn't we use their vendor, they don't allow outside vendors. Like, REALLY? You people need to get your act together. And then we can't use the chaise because it "belongs to them" and we have to pay extra. For an ugly, dirty, old broken piece of crap. The management people are the WORST! Then they set up the tables wrong, wrong size, wrong chairs, wrong color napkins. They run out pina colada mix not even half way through. This place is run down, dirty everything. The chairs, linens, the doors are broken, it's so ghetto yet they have the audacity to act like a-holes. The only good thing, Sima the event manager and her staff were great! She was so helpful and kind, loved her. The rest of you at this hellhole suck!
