They had the package that included everything we needed for our big day, which made the entire process so much easier and less stressful. It is truly a one-stop shop! During my initial consultation with Bobo, she was incredibly patient and thorough in explaining and answering all my questions (and I had a lot!). She ensured we both felt supported and confident in our decision. Bobo provided numerous suggestions and recommendations to ensure the day would go smoothly. She is very easy to talk to and responsive! Dresses/Suit Rental: This was my biggest fear! I am on the petite side (4'11 and 93 pounds) and was very worried about finding a dress and a qipao that would fit me well. Bobo and Sarah reassured me, and after trying on the wide selection of dresses, I was able to find a dress that fit me perfectly and made me feel confident and beautiful. My husband also rented his suit and was able to choose from a wide variety of options. His suit was perfectly fitted -- he looked amazing! Makeup: The makeup and hair team did an amazing job making me feel beautiful and confident. I wanted a simple and natural look, and they delivered the best version of myself on my wedding day -- elegant, natural, and truly me!! They were also very patient in doing this for my bridesmaids. Photos: The package I chose included both photography and videography, and I'm so glad it did. The team truly captured the essence and personality of my husband and me. We're both naturally shy in front of the camera, but they made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. The photos and videos turned out stunning -- you can really feel the emotion and joy in every moment they captured. DW Studio went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. What started as an overwhelming process turned into something we could truly enjoy. I was married on 10/7/2023 and Details Made Simple (Carla) made sure it was the most beautiful, and least anxiety provoking day. I had previously booked a Day Of Coordinator in March 2023. This DOC promised me the world and more for my October 2023 wedding. We'll fast forward to August 2023 meeting with my venue, I was alone and freaking out. My DOC (not Carla) bailed on me for the venue meet, and made me feel like I was panicking for no reason with a timeline that will be formulated week before wedding. (Again not Carla) Thanks to my maid of honor coming through with an amazing recommendation, I was given Carlas's number after feeling defeated and upset with my previous DOC not supporting me or showing up for me when necessary. After 2 hour conversation with myself and my mom, I immediately felt at ease with Carla. My concerns were validated as "No way should a timeline be started 1 week before event". With many tears had during our initial conversation, that night I slept the best I had in all my wedding planning with Carla coming to my rescue and the rest is history. Details Made Simple is just that, Details Made Simple. From hiring (DMS) that August evening to my wedding on October 7, 2023, I was in The best hands Possible!!! We had a few phone calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and the month leading up to the wedding, myself and Carla were in contact regularly. She never hesitated to answer and email, a text or a phone call. I received updated timelines in my email on the regular, she contacted any vendors with whatever tasks were still not done, to her absolutely loving on my 3 year old niece on my wedding day, Carla was like having an extremely organized "family"member take charge and make sure myself, my husband and my bridal party had nothing to worry about on the wedding day. I can not speak highly enough about DMS services, professionalism and overall delivery of event planning. Carla, I am forever grateful to you! P.S. Carla was not available for my rehearsal at the church, but we had her team member Shadé. Also AMAZING. We were not an easy group and she got EVERYONE in place and running our ceremony as it was supposed to be. Thank you Shadé for being there for us!

Jodie was a godsend!!!…read more My husband and I got married in early August. It was the best day of both of our lives and none of it would have been possible without Jodie @ Particular Planner. We were planning our wedding remotely, which we were initially nervous about, but once Jodie came into the picture, things were easier than we could've imagined. She met with our vendors, Facetimed us while she toured our venue (which we booked sight "unseen"!) and thought of every little detail before anyone else. On the day-of, she effortlessly wrangled all of our family and friends for photos, made sure things were set up correctly, and always checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Little did we know, the decision to work with Jodie was by far the BEST decision we made throughout the planning process. Jodie used her years of professional event planning and personal experience with her own wedding to ease the process for us and bring a new perspective to the decisions we had to make. Jodie was incredibly helpful working and negotiating with all of our vendors. She thought of things that we never would have thought to ask ourselves and always had our best interest at heart. The week of our wedding there was a major snow storm that brought on about a foot of snow. Our ceremony was to be in a tent with clear walls outside on a farm field. The week prior to our big day, we were running around like crazy people- picking up stuff here, dropping off stuff there... Just crazy. Jodie manned the entire tent rental installation as if it was her own tent, her own farm, and her own wedding. Extremely PROACTIVE! She worked with Parkins Tent Rentals and our venue, Lauxmont Farms, to have all snow removed so the ground could be ready for the tent installation and to make sure our guests would not be trekking through mud. There was no need to worry about the weather with Jodie on our team. Jodie's attention to detail, organizational skills, and thoroughness greatly exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was a destination with many DIY elements and moving parts. Everything was a la carte. We had over thirteen vendors that required coordination the day of our wedding. Prior to our wedding day, Jodie completely wrapped herself around the timeline, vendor roles, and our expectations to make our vision a reality. There was not one moment that prevented us from enjoying every minute of our special day with Jodie on board. Our dreams came true and we just cannot imagine our special day being as smooth and painless as it was without Jodie on our team.

If there were negative stars, I'd give her -16. I had hired Michelle for the day of coordinating for my wedding in which I had planned, scheduled everything for, made all the decorations.. the works. I had a list of things for her to do along with times and everything. I'm very particular. Days leading up to the wedding, she confirmed times and what not with my vendors that I had already confirmed with. But when they contacted me after she contacted them, things were a little crazy, vendors being confused on a few things that I had already discussed with them and we're good to go. Strike one. But I let it go. I figured it was just a hiccup in the wedding world. Fast forward to the rehearsal day/dinner. I paid an extra $200 for her to be there so when day of came, she wouldn't be lost. She sat me down to confirm everything, most things were already confirmed so I was a little annoyed that she took time away from my day to do this. Anyways, one question that popped up THE WHOLE TWO DAYS SHE WAS AROUND was- "when can I go home" what. The. Fuck. My day. Not yours. I'm paying/paid her so she needs to zip it n get to work. So after two or three mentions of her leaving, after being there for maybe an hour, I sent her home. My best lady and bridesmaids were confused when I did this, because then I had to run the rehearsal by myself. Thanks Michelle. I sent her home because she cared more about pumping for her baby and when she could go home over my needs in to which I had hired and again, paid for. Wedding day- she comes. I have papers n notes that she has for specific times. My mom is there to tell her where any and all decorations go. Once she is told to do something, it's realized she isn't doing any of it. My best lady yelled at her multiple times and told her that she should not be doing her job for her. And she's right. I didn't it my best lady, but I should have! I had hundreds of dollars worth of decor that didn't get set up, not to mention the hours of work and equipment I bought to out into it. Again she asks what goes where. Mind you, she asked me THE BRIDE my HUSBAND and multiple other people when she could leave. AT THE WEDDING! Are ya kidding me?? The last time I saw her was right when we were in line about to walk to the dance floor to be announced. Once again... this fucking girl asks us when she can f*****g leave again! This is about 5:10pm. I told her "when the donut wall gets set up between 7-730, you can go" THIS BISH GOES AND SETS UO THE WALL AND BOUNCES! ya f*****g kidding me?! She set out my f****g dessert table before dinner. So. F******g pissed. I'm writing this because I want to save anyone who cares about their wedding day to look elsewhere. I guess I should have known better when I went to her office and it was a limousine garage office inside a garage and there was a mess of clutter while sharing an office with her family at a table 1.5 feet away from us. Everything was perfect and wonderful except her and her services. So many people came up to me to tell me how terrible she was. Save yourself. If you care about your wedding, she's not the girl. Sorry Michelle. Wish you were better.

I'm extremely disappointed writing this review, especially…read morebecause this was for my baby shower for my first child -- a once-in-a-lifetime event I can never get back. I paid $1,000+ for three staff members, and two of them showed up late. For an event where timing matters, this immediately created unnecessary stress. There was no reimbursement, no partial refund, and no real attempt to make things right. Unfortunately, the issues went beyond punctuality. The staff appeared unprofessional stating things like "you own this house?" in shock and degrading that people of color could own a lovely home and mostly stood around instead of proactively assisting guests or supporting the flow of the event. I found myself directing people I had hired to manage things -- which defeated the entire purpose of booking staff in the first place. When I addressed my concerns with the owner, I was met with zero accountability. Rather than acknowledging the late arrivals and lack of professionalism, she shifted the blame onto me as the customer. That response was more disappointing than the service itself. The company promotes itself heavily and builds high expectations, but the execution simply did not match the branding. Being offered a "discount" for a future event felt almost insulting -- especially given this was my first time hiring event staff and likely my last with this company. Since then, I've seen what professional event staff actually look like at another event, and the difference was night and day. This was my baby shower -- a special milestone -- and the experience added stress instead of support. I would not book again and do not recommend.

Above and Beyond…read more Our daughter's wedding was Saturday 10/1/2022, our driver Billy kept a close eye on the questionable weather coming from Hurricane Ian, he was totally correct about the weathers timing. He walked all of us one by one to bus and church with biggest umbrella ever. Needless to say it didn't rain on us but he was totally prepared. Carmine also took awesome care of the groom and the groomsmen, she was terrific and so professional. While we were in church Billy went to tuxedo shop swapped out the tuxedo pants for my husband, father of the bride(broken zipper) no one ever knew. Seamlessly got 2 pairs, made the situation stress free. Thank you so much for thinking outside the box and helped to avoid an annoying situation. Job well to our drivers!! Thank you!

This was the one splurge for my wedding that I was 50/50 on spending, but was worth every penny. We…read morehad a really small bridal party, but wanted to include all of our closest people in the getting ready process and getting to and from the church to the venue and we ended up booking the 30 person shuttle. We were able to get family and close friends from our house, to the church and to the venue. They have the best rates I could find and incredible service. John is the owner and is very easy to work with, our driver was named Joe and was incredible. He helped get bags out to the car, helped fluff my train and get me ready to walk down the aisle with my dad while making sure my husband didn't see me on the way. I am so glad I ended up booking Action Limousine because I nearly didn't and it was a great decision.
