In two weeks of eating at a different restaurant every day in BCS, this was my favorite. Gotta start with the building - these guys are COMMITTED! (And the old location across the street looks like an actual shipwreck.) Inside, everything fits the theme and is appealing. They don't just offer Cajun cuisine - they have Cajun waiters! (At least, ours was.) The Jalapeno Poppers were HUGE - see photo of me holding one; it's nearly grenade-size. I had the Crawfish Combo, and thoroughly enjoyed both the etouffee and the fried crawfish tails. As Arnold famously said, "I'll be back."

The decor goes with the Theme, ordered crab cakes and hush puppies. Carson was my waiter. Was disappointed when my crab cakes came out, flat discs! Looked like a frozen disc and was just heated up! The shipwreck sauce was too spicy for me! Carson suggested a dairy dill vinaigrette, it had Parmesan in it and overpowered the crabcakes, but it was a lot better than the spicy shipwreck sauce . The crab cakes tasted just okay, I was expecting a lot more in appearance! The hush puppies served with cocktail sauce, they were spicy, I think they had jalapeños in them! I ordered a tea and had peach added, Carson made sure I was happy with my tea! He was very assertive and tended to needs!

I have always enjoyed Shipwreck Grill. Today we tried the new restaurant. I've got to say that I really miss the old place. It felt more like an old shrimp boat and the food was always good. That said, the new restaurant was nicely decorated, clean and the service was great. The issue this time was the food. While our server was attentive, the food took a really long time to come out. I ordered Snow Crab Legs, and boy was I disappointed! The legs were discolored and had no meat in them at all. They were totally inedible and I was really surprised that the kitchen would send those out! The manager did apologize and told me that they were overcooked. I was so disappointment, that I didn't order anything else. The rest of the crew had fried oysters and shrimp. It was just okay. I guess Shipwreck is more of a shrimp and oyster venue. I had thought since they were a seafood restaurant that they would have decent crab legs. Next time, I would definitely stick with their fried staples.

Crawfish is the best in town. Boiled shrimp!! Different types of oysters!!! Blue Moon!!

We have been here 5 times. Between business and family meals this place is always great ! The servers have been different and vary in experience but they always do fantastic ! The food is always good and fresh. If you visit, give the appetizers; hush puppies and boudin balls a shot, you won't regret it.

Buffalo crawfish, diablos shrimp, hush puppies, beans, and fries. Really good!

Tried this for the first time ever the other day and was not disappointed! I got the buffalo crawfish and diablos shrimp with fries. Now I want to try their other options. Everything I had was good. We also got some queso with crawfish. It was really good. My boys had a corn dog and burger. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich and enjoyed it very much. The tables inside are really really small for 4 people which is my only complaint. The waitress we had was really nice and helpful. Next time we'll probably come back when we can sit outside and enjoy the weather. But OH WE WILL BE BACK!

Stuffed jalapeños, the most amazing ever! Red beans and rice and Etoufee were above par! The staff were so wonderful!

Burger was wack. Margarita was weak. The bar was tilted which was weird and threw off balance.

Had lunch there a few weeks ago. Friendly waitress. Best fried catfish I've had in a long time. Most of the food on the menu is fried.

OMG seafood was one of them and because I like seafood I decided to check it out. It took me to YELP and I looked at the reviews. Reviews had good ones but the last few were bad so I was a little scared but I said let's go try it. When I got to the place only one car. I was scared at this point. One of the bad reviews said they were dirty and not clean. However the place had very large windows so I could see in from the car and the place was clean so I went in. I received great service! Told the lady I never been here before and she made some suggestions. The one person inside said get the gumbo. As I looked over the menu at the counter I could see they had a drive threw and it was busy so I was a little more happy. I ordered the boiled combo shrimp, crab and sausage. They lady asked me did I hear you right that you have never been here before. I said yes that is correct. She said I will give you a sample of the gumbo. Wow the gumbo was outstanding and I will come back tomorrow for lunch and get that. As for the boil combo I loved that as well. I'm so glad I did not listen to the other reviews because this place was great. I wish I had something like this where I live. I will have to enjoy it for two days before I leave. Service, food was great and the place was very clean. The building is old but I would not judge that

The problem is the food here is so friggin delicious that I haven't learned my lesson and I will be back. I had the fried catfish and shrimp platter which is what I always get. It's so good y'all it's worth getting sick to be honest. Or maybe I'm just a fatty but they honestly have the best fried fish in Brazos Valley. Sometimes I have a fried fish itch and this is the only place that scratches it. Do try it, I hope I didn't scare anyone off, it's worth the try.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we look forward to our visit again this weekend for my Mom's 80th!! Look, this is a college town when it's all said and done and you wouldn't know it in their establishment. The pace is slowed down from the college hustle and bustle, which is a nice change of pace and their vibe is just laid back, relaxed and elegant. While there are many options, Fish is clearly the star of this show. The blackened fish sounded good, but I do really like creole. So, I got the Atchafalaya, which was blackened fish topped with Creole! It really hit THE spot. My wife had the fried shrimp which she really enjoyed as well. Everything was perfect! If you are looking for something above average with great prices, you can't beat Fish Daddy's! Ambiance-5 Service-5 Food-5 Price-5 I really liked this place!
