The first project involved restoring the original hardwood floors in my living room, hallway, and office. These floors had been installed nearly 30 years ago and had never been refinished. Over the decades, they had accumulated significant wear, including deep scratches, scuffs, and discoloration. Frankly, I wasn't even sure they could be salvaged. Jorge completely transformed them. He sanded and refinished the floors, removing years of damage and giving them a beautiful new appearance. I also wanted to eliminate the dated orange tones in the original finish and replace them with something lighter and more contemporary. Jorge brought several stain options for me to consider and was incredibly patient as I requested additional samples to find exactly the right shade. The finished floors are absolutely gorgeous. Areas I thought were beyond repair now look practically brand new, and the new stain is exactly what I had envisioned.
The second project involved removing decades-old carpeting from three bedrooms and a small staircase and replacing it with luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring. Once again, Jorge was extremely helpful in selecting materials. He brought numerous samples, offered thoughtful suggestions, and helped me find a product that complemented the refinished hardwood in the adjoining rooms. Even better, he found an excellent LVP option at a surprisingly affordable price. The installation was beautifully executed, particularly on the staircase, where the precision and attention to detail really stood out. He also installed new baseboards throughout the renovated areas, and those turned out beautifully as well. The transitions, finishing details, and overall appearance of the flooring exceeded my expectations.
Beyond the quality of his work, Jorge was simply a pleasure to work with. He was responsive, punctual, accommodating, and able to begin the project without a lengthy wait. I'm fairly particular about design details, and I really appreciated his willingness to work with me until everything was exactly how I wanted it. Whether that meant providing additional flooring samples or returning to touch up a few small areas, he was always gracious and willing to make adjustments. I also found him completely trustworthy and felt comfortable leaving him to work in my home while I was away. Throughout the process, I genuinely felt that he cared about the finished product and wanted to make sure I was happy with it.
This renovation was especially meaningful to me because the house was my childhood home, and the original hardwood floors were installed by my parents many years ago. I wanted to preserve that part of the home's history while giving the interior a fresh, updated appearance. Jorge helped me accomplish exactly that. Seeing those beautiful original floors restored rather than replaced was particularly gratifying, and I appreciated the care he took with a home that means so much to me.
Finally, I should mention that Jorge's pricing was exceptionally competitive. In fact, his estimate was the lowest I received, which made the quality of the finished work even more impressive. It's not always easy to find a contractor who delivers excellent craftsmanship, reasonable pricing, and such a positive customer experience, but Jorge checked all three boxes.
