Julian and his team did a wonderful job with our floors. We pulled up the carpet in the house we just bought, and there were decent hardwood floors underneath that just needed some TLC. Their guys showed up on time, explained what they needed to do, and got to work. The outcome was gorgeous, they worked fast, and the price was very reasonable. They were easy to work with, took the time to answer all of our questions, and even came back to take care of a small finishing detail we forgot to ask them about at the final walk through. This company messed up my floors the first time and I'm still giving them four stars. Why? Because they owned their mistake and they made it right and never even *hinted* about additional payment. My new floors are gorgeous. I had made peace with the fact that it would always be evident that my hardwoods were patched but you cannot tell the difference between the new and old wood. Stevens Flooring did a great job for me. They refinished my hardwood floors. I had some stains on the floor they did there best to remove the stains on the boards. The boards that they could not sand out the stains they replaced and you can't tell that they were replaced. These floors are 70 + years old and look brand new. Steven's Flooring Plus is unprofessional and rude. We had an appointment set 2 months in advance for floor repairs and had termite tenting scheduled around that repair. This company called the day before asking if we could reschedule, and when we told them we can't they just hung up the phone. The day they were supposed to arrive they were a no-show and we had to call them to find out that they flat out decided not to come do the job at all, leaving us to scramble to find another company that can do the repairs near the holidays so we don't have to reschedule the tenting and pay fees that go along with that. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Julian and his family just finished flooring the rest of my 3 bedroom, 2 story condo in Long Beach. Previously I had already done thel living room & dining room with someone else. I wanted bedrooms done in bamboo and the hallways and stairs in a berber. They were able to come out that same afternoon to take measurements and gave me a quote the next day. I was travelling and having other work done at my home so the work began a few months after the quote and the work looks stunning! I was away and the work was supervised by some friends. The floors look amazing! No detail was missed - closets, nooks, crannies, storage spaces under stairs - all the surfaces are done and beautifully so! I could not be happier!!! The men who installed my engineered flooring did an excellent job. They meticulously installed the flooring and were respectful of my home and my time. The owner told me to get a TBar and a reducer at the time he provided an estimate. However, the installers told me to take back the reducer and get another TBar. They would come back to install the TBar and touch-up a couple of things they noticed. This was right before Christmas. The week after Christmas, I left a message for the owner, asking to schedule the installers back at my house. After the second week of January, I had not received a call back, so I contacted the owner. He did not respond when I told him I had left a message. We scheduled January 27 at 9:00AM for the installers. On the 27th, at 9:20AM, when the installers were not at my home, I called the owner. He said he had it in his calendar for February 3rd. I did not argue but knew that we had never discussed February. I said ok fine. On February 3rd, at 9:10AM, I called the owner just to make sure there were no issuess especially since it was a little after 9:00. The owner said they were finishing up another job. He said it be around 30 minutes from the time of my call. I said that if you're going to be 40 mInutes late, you should call. He said, "Do you want to cancel?" I told him I wanted him to complete the job he had been paid in full for. He called back and said they would be at my house at 10:00AM. I hesitated and stated that I had a conference call at 10:00AM. He reiterated they could be there at 10:00,offering no alternatives and no apology for being late. The installers arrived and completed the job in 15 minutes. The installers rock!! Unfortunately, the owner no longer cared about customer service since he had already been paid in full. Not the way to do business Mr. Owner. read more

The guys installing the floors, arrived on time and worked quickly. Very professional work and were finished earlier than time estimate which was great for me. I really liked their work. The floor looks good and very smooth. 5 Stars for that. The only thing was that they put the blower machine in the living room where I walked into it and hurt my toe. Fortunately it wasn't broken because I teach dance! Great job and I would recommend them to others. Accidents happen. Just be mindful of where you put equipment because an older person could get injured. I still gave 5 stars because I'm satisfied with the work. read more

I wanted the carpet in two bedrooms replaced with laminate. Julian came out on a Saturday (nice not having to take off work to meet with contractors) to give me a quote. It was very reasonably priced so I went ahead and scheduled the installation. Two workers showed up on time and got to work. They were very hard-working and did a great job. The finished floors are beautiful, the gray wide-plank look I've always wanted! Side note: Since I had just painted one of the bedrooms the DAY before, I expected I would have some significant retouching to do from the paint getting scratched off when they removed the old carpet. But I didn't see anything that needed touching up. I didn't tell them I had just painted, so I don't think they were being extra careful. I went to Steven's Flooring Plus on the recommendation of my contractor. I was thrilled with the price they quoted me to install nearly 800 square feet of high quality carpet. They also had to shave several doors, remove a small section of tile and put in a couple of ramps. All the work was done in less than a day. They were on time and very professional. This Review is for an instillation Steven's Flooring had just put in at my work Bellagio Manor Fine Assisted Living. With that said. True professionals. I had to get carpet installed in the new chapel at the Bellagio Manor. Julian came out the same day (Thursday) I had called for a estimate. Hired him the next day and he had his guys come out Tuesday. Within 2 hours the entire room was done to perfection. This is a photo of my damaged floor that was incorrectly installed by Stevens flooring. I noticed the problem in June and went into the store asking them to come and repair the damage. I visited their store on three separate occasions and on each one they took down my name, number and address and told me that they would get back to me as soon as possible. After the third visit I was contacted and told that the flooring was on order and that they would set up an appointment to fix it in about two weeks. Now a month later I am still waiting. Last week I called and I asked once again if they would contact me so that we could discuss the floor. I have heard nothing from them. What has happened is that I have been accused of damaging the floor myself. When I suggested that the floor had not been leveled correctly on one of my visits to the store I was met with pushback and accused of dragging something across it to cause the floor to chip. They do not stand by their product or know how to do business with a customer who has gone out of their way to patiently wait for them to correct their mistake. I spent about $4,000 for this floor and believe me it looks like crap. I can see so many seams between the planks. I have had laminate floors installed in the past by friends in all my bedrooms and their work is a hundred times better then what I have been left with by this business. read more

Julian's crew replaced our condo's carpet with laminate flooring and also laid down tile in our kitchen, bathrooms, and fireplace. Julian was very attentive in helping us choose our flooring and through the estimate process. Scheduling was a bit of a pain as they are a busy company with lots of work. Unfortunately, Julian himself does not do most of the work and so his time estimates was off by more than a few days, which ended up affecting other work I had scheduled for our unit before we could move in. Since I also had to buy the tile (Julian does not carry it, but will install it), his estimates were also off and required I make multiple trips to Lowe's to buy more. The work was of a high quality, and their installer Pedro was very knowledgeable. However, communication between the two leaves much to be desired. As we neared the end of our install, it became evident Julian had moved on from paying attention to our job as it was very difficult to get a hold of him anymore, and even Pedro complained about not having enough laborers to help him. I felt a distinct disinterest on Julian's behalf, and the cold businessman emerged who was done dealing with me because my job was almost done anyway and I would have to pay up. He virtually ignored my issues with timing, and basically threatened to charge me more when I mentioned I was not happy with some of the things mentioned herein that had ended up costing me extra. He said he would take care of them, but would have to charge me for all of the "free" work he had done in leveling parts of my floor, which he said he had not charged me for (though he had never mentioned this before - ever). Just got my floors done today and all I have to say is WOW! From start to finish it was a pleasure dealing with Julian and his crew. I got three bids to get some laminate flooring laid down in my new home and Julian was the most reasonably priced. He was very patient and understanding with me during the floor selection process, even accommodating me when I wanted my wife to see the samples. Come installation day Julian's crew came ready to work right on the dot! After a brief rundown of what I wanted done, these guys got to work. I can't say enough how fast and efficient these guys operate! They had the old flooring entirely ripped out and hauled away much more quickly than I had ever expected. Julian was there briefly to talk his guys through the project but did leave to do other things. Although I was a little worried that he wouldn't be there, by the end of the day I ended up with the most IMMACULATE looking floors! Planks were put down STRAIGHT and running underneath the painted and caulked baseboards the way it should be! Transitions and corners were flawless!
