This donut shop is amazing! I am a die hard Dunkin Donuts lover but have found a new favorite! The first time we tried them, we picked them up and brought them home for the kids. They were delicious and freshly made. Our second visit, we decided to take the kids in to enjoy a donut before school. The service was top notch and again, the donuts as well as their kolaches did not disappoint. The manager also approached me (after seeing my son wearing his Plano East band jacket)about wanting to be more involved with the community and asked that I let the band director know they are interested in partnering up with school groups and organizations to provide snacks, etc. Definitely see lots more trips here in the future. read more

I am shocked at the five star reviews. My husband got a dozen donuts this am. When he arrived home, the bags (that's another thing-no box?) were literally wet from grease. None of us ate the donuts after a few "tried" them. Also-the long johns were pre filled with pudding. Most places ask if you want it filled. And the cinnamon roll-if that's what you can call it....was tough and inedible. Come on yelpers-you're usually spot on with places but y'all seriously missed the mark with these recommendations. What a waste of $15. There are WAY too many excellent choices for donuts in Plano. We tried Shipleys years ago when it was on Parker....no wonder we never went back. GROSS. read more

The workers are more interested in setting up and making product then serving the customer not very friendly. Was also served the smallest apple fritter I've ever seen even the worker stop to look at it but sold it anyway. Too many other choices I think I'll go elsewhere read more

Excellent donut and super quick service. I always come through the drive thru to get donuts and the staff is always nice and quick to get my order. Their glazed donuts are the best. They are super light, soft and just delightful. I often gets 2 dozens for my staff and they are always a hit at the office. Their prices are reasonable too. A dozen glazed are around 8$ and just a bit more for the variety. Definitely my go to spot for donut. read more

The young lady at the front counter answered all my questions happily and was sincere when she offered recommendations. I would absolutely go there any time I'm in Plano. So glad Shipley's is back in the neighborhood. They used to have a location on Parker and Alma that is now a new donut shop that's barely tolerable. My kids prefer Shipley's even though it's a little further away. It's so refreshjng to go in with an order and they actually have the things your kids wanted from Do-nuts to kolaches. The staff is always very attentive and friendly. Whoever runs this place knows what they're doing and has hired great people with a good positive attitude. I do miss some of the donut varieties I grew up on at another highly popular chain (not KK). I don't think they have any powder sugar ones. Used to like the jelly ones that were lightly sugared on the outside. The only ones they have are caked in a layer of sugar (glazed). I'm missing things like powdered chocolate cream filled. So their selection could have more choices. But still very happy compared to my other choices. read more

First let me start out by saying this was my first time trying Shipleys and it was absolutely amazing. The donuts were fresh, light and simply tasty. The shop is cute and very clean. And most importantly the owners/staff were absolutely fantastic. I told them it was my first time and their goal was to make sure that I had an amazing experience and that I did. I will definitely be back as I seen them treat every customer who came in the shop with the same outstanding service. Everyone working wanted to be there! Jenny took the time to make recommendations and explained the various donuts. She was pleasant, the donuts were amazing and the location is perfect. I have to start by saying I love Shipleys! Their donuts are amazing and taste fantastic. The only reason that I give it a low rating is in the sanitation aspect. The concept of having windows so that everyone can see is a wonderful idea, but as I was sitting eating my donut I saw one of the employees (not sure which area) cough without covering her mouth, and also when she did cough into her hand she proceeded to touch the donuts WITHOUT changing her gloves or washing her hands. This was very unsettling for me, and I feel the staff may need to learn a bit more about health and sanitation. This is a wonderful place, but I was highly disappointed when I saw this. read more
