Michel is amazing. I've been struggling to find a decent manicurist since I moved back to south…read moreFlorida two years ago and discovered my previous one no longer lives here. I've tried so many well rated salons and I've never been satisfied. After spending $70 on a gel mani/pedi and having it peel off in a week I almost gave up... but I read Michel's reviews and reluctantly requested an appointment through the yelp app on Tuesday. She was able to do a Wednesday(yesterday) appointment at 5 so it was ideal. She's tucked away in an office building in her own little suite, which, though a little unconventional, is actually quite nice because it's private and personal. Michel is a total doll... I'm so used to drowning out the bustle of some salon with headphones that I found myself pleasantly surprised relishing in conversation with her. I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure... she had to fix some damage done by the person who did my nails previously, so the appointment was really long (3.5 hours to be exact), but she didn't seem to mind at all. The girl that did my nails last week cut them way too short, so Michel only filed the edges a bit. She had to build one nail longer so it matched the rest, and she did so perfectly. She's incredibly meticulous and attentive, yet also engaging and social while seemingly hyper-focused on creating beautiful nails. Don't come here if you want a rush job, but if you want lovely nails and a pleasant evening it's the place for you... Though I only had my nails done yesterday (thus can't be sure they'll last) I'm pretty confident they will last well and I love the color! I have a feeling I have found "The One" I'm so relieved to finally have a GOOD nail technician... I'll probably follow up on this review in a few weeks, after I see how my nails hold up, but I have a feeling Michel will be the only person allowed to touch my nails from now on. I wanted to add to my review after some time passed... it's now been almost two weeks and my nails are in great shape and I've scheduled another appointment for this Saturday! I'm so pleased to finally have found Michel. She's a true gem.

However, we passed this nail salon, and I decided to take a chance on a walk in. Stopped in and yes, they could accommodate me right away. This place is quite busy with a lot of employees and nail stations. The gal who was going to do my nails brought over a color wheel of choices. And I found a color similar to the one I'd been using. In no time at all, the polish change occurred and I was sitting drying my nails in front of a small fan. She did a pretty good job. Although, anything would have been an improvement. Their prices are a few dollars more than what I am used to, but since it was a pre-holiday weekend, I didn't quibble. The gal doing my nails was efficient and professional, but didn't try to engage me in conversation -- I'm not sure of her English abilities even. In any case, I was glad I took a chance and stopped here. Exactly what I needed for a boost.

We were also offered waters, and masks were provided upon request, which was a thoughtful and appreciated touch. As a birthday bonus, they gave me a discount, which was so nice. I also got to spin a fun lottery wheel for a chance to win a Louis Vuitton bag (no luck there ), but I still received an additional percentage off both my mom's and my services. Overall, the service was efficient, friendly, and well done. If I'm in the area again and need my nails done, I'd definitely return.
