My experience with Nail Garden Pines has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On…read moremultiple occasions they have canceled appointments at the last minute, which is very inconvenient when you plan your schedule around an appointment. Even when they don't cancel, you can arrive on time and still be left waiting 30 minutes or more past your appointment time with no explanation. What is the point of making an appointment if they are not going to respect it? Another issue is the lack of professionalism in the salon. The staff spends a lot of time gossiping about clients, including discussing what people are wearing and talking about them openly while they are there. It creates a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. Overall, the customer service and professionalism are lacking. The staff are all a bunch of Cuban chusmas, and i'm cuban so I can say that! If you value your time and expect respectful service, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I don't know how anyone stays and works there! My tech, Grace, is new there and she was wonderful and skilled but I hope she leaves soon because the treatment those techs have from the employers are horrible. For everyone working there, leave. I'm sure that'll make the owner look in the mirror. Thanks again Grace, I'll follow you anywhere you go girlfriend but I can't support a salon that plays favorites and blocks me from rebooking you.

Whatever you do, DO NOT purchase a gift card from this business. I was gifted a $100 gift card for…read moremy birthday, because my mom knew how long I've been coming here and thought it would be the perfect gift.. WRONG. Upon purchase, I received an email letting me know that I had the gift card and that it's been applied to my account. Amazing. WRONG AGAIN. I went to use said gift card and upon completion of my services I go to show the digital gift card (which quite literally indicated to show it at the business) and I am informed that they will not accept the virtual gift card. I ask why not and they tell me they need a business card that they gave my mom when she purchased the gift card, that was sent digitally, or else they can't apply the gift card. The owner confirms she knows she sold the gift card, emailed the digital gift card and literally sees the gift card on my account, but REFUSES to let me use the digital gift card (which by the way even gives you the option to send to someone else who would then only have a digital gift card). After going back and forth for far longer than should have been necessary I end up paying because the business refused to accept and apply the gift card they took the money for and emailed to me. Now, I have to go through the process of disputing the purchase with my credit card company. In a city where there are three nail salons every two steps save yourself the time and headache and go literally anywhere else. Spouses, parents, friends do not purchase gift cards from this location. They will gladly take your money and then refuse to honor them.

She took her time, made sure everything was done correctly, and didn't rush through it like I've experienced at other nail salons. She also speaks great English, which made communication easy, and she was very friendly and accommodating throughout my visit. The basic manicure was only $23, which I thought was a great value, especially since it even included a relaxing 2-minute hand massage. The experience was so good that I decided to stay and get their Volcano Pedicure package for $50. I'll save that experience for Part 2 of my review, but if the manicure is any indication, I'm expecting another great service. If you're a guy looking for a clean, detailed manicure without feeling rushed, I highly recommend asking for Emily.
