    "Jumbo" LOL

Ordered a 1/2 bushel of what was supposedly "jumbo" and a good 75% of them were anything but. We decided to pay the extra $70 for jumbos and we expected them all to be at least 7" as we were told. Below is a picture of what at least half of them were. I didn't want to have to leave a review as I'm always willing to give local businesses another chance, but even after emailing them I got no response. Avoid this shady business. Even talked to other people that have had the same experience with them.

Paid for 2 dozen large crabs, expected large crabs, but received two dozen teeny tiny light crabs. Pretty disappointing. I reached out to the company to get the difference back between the price of the smalls and the larges. I was told by them that Maryland large crabs are 5.5 inches point to point.

    Jumbo/"Monster" crab

She's Got Crabs is a small location, almost like a pop-up shop for crabs, on the edge of Whitecomb's Farm Market. There is no dining space or even a building to enter: you drive up, hop out, and pick up your crabs under the tent. This made it easy to miss if passing by, but it's definitely worth the find. Not only were the crabs fantastic, but the prices and sizes are also reasonable. We ordered a dozen jumbo, or in their words "monster," crabs on a Friday evening for $85, but small-large sizes were also available ranging from $35-$60. The man who helped us at the shop was very kind and professional, the crabs were ready at the designated pickup time, and he even threw in a free roll of paper. Worthy of a Maryland summer, the entire dozen was absolutely delicious and HUGE. The meat was fresh and hearty in each crab and everything was seasoned to perfection. The only thing to keep in mind when ordering is that this location is only open on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) and it is rather busy, which is not conducive to the small location and parking lot. But with a bit of planning, She's Got Crabs is a perfect fix for Maryland crab enthusiasts. TL;DR: She's Got Crabs has my vote for summer crab feasts.

    Fourth of July!

I order at least a bushel every week. Prices are always way better then anyone around. Crabs are always good. You get what you pay for and people don't understand that. A large crab is only a half inch bigger then a small crab and some people can't grasp that. You will get the best deal and actual fresh live crabs from here. All other places around pre steam their crabs to make their product last longer. She's got crabs has been the only place I have been always able to get live crabs. Also they have some of the best crab seasoning around.

We were brought waters and tea and ordered, since we had already decided our choices. We started with Crab Dip and Fried Green Tomatoes. Brother-in-law, his wife and my wife all ordered the Slab of Ribs and fries special. One niece and I chose the Ostrich Filet, hers with Sweet Potato fries, mine with Roasted Sour Cream & Chives Potatoes and Butter Braised Green Beans. Farm helper Debbie chose the Firecracker Shrimp. And other niece got, wait for it, cake and ice cream!! Appetizers came quickly. Crab dip was delicious. Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent after I cleared up the sweet relish atop it. I'm a Fried Green Tomatoes purist. After a short wait our meals came. Two people thought the Ribs were good and one that didn't like them. I tried a piece of ribs from my wife. Very soft, fall off the bone but dry and lacking flavor. Debbie loved her Shrimp, which were barely spicy. The Ostrich Filet was very good, more like steak than chicken. But my sides were bleh. Green beans were stiff and tough. Potatoes had very little flavor of sour cream or chives, rather bland. I did enjoy some of my wife's fries. And the niece with the cake and ice cream said it was grrreat! Good food, wonderful ambiance and excellent service by Maura. Worth a visit, especially if you are curious about Ostrich filet!

A bit noisy for me to hear a conversation easily. The food was excellent. I tried the seafood jambalaya with had fish, scallops shrimp and spicy sausage with Cajun seasoning over brown rice. I appreciated that the server made sure I understood that it was going to be spicy which it was but not unbearably so (I like mildly spicy to medium spicy). I loved the spinach crab dip appetizer. It was creamy and hot and delicious. The hushpuppies, of you are a hushpuppy fan were a must order. The arrived hot and very crisp coating with a moist interior. They come with a honey butter which really put them over the top. My spice got the grilled shrimp with shoestring potatoes. The shrimp were grilled perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. I've gotten live lobster from here and steamed them at home during the summer- had a great experience with fresh lobsters! I recently tried the lobster rolls and it was fine. I'm not sure if I'll be back for the rolls, but I will for live lobsters. Lobster rolls are $20.20 for 1. They can assemble it for you, or you can take them home, toast it and assemble. I recommend the latter and add butter to the rolls. I also added a big squeeze of lemon before eating. I've had better, but in a pinch these are good. I think I'm partial to Connecticut lobster rolls. Out of curiosity, I weighed each container of meat. One came out to 4.58 oz and the other 4.66 oz (including the container, which on its own was about 0.7-0.8 oz). Loved the bread- soft and even better with the slight buttery toast. On another note, I know it's not peak season for anything, but the fish under the glass counter looked a little gray and sad. I will be back during the summer. :)

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.
