He seems to go out of his way to make personalized conversation and to be honest, he's the main reason I keep coming back. If you have a paint question of any magnitude, he'll not only answer it for you precisely, but also in a manner in which you'll have no trouble understanding it. It will be a customized color to match. I was shocked at how close it was! They even dried it with a blow dryer to make sure it was a good match. Staff was very friendly. Last night their paint machine was broken so I resigned myself to having to come here to JC Licht instead. I cannot believe the stark contrast in service. I like that hardware store, but buying paint there sucks. You always have to try to flag someone down for several minutes and they're never paint experts. Walking into JC Licht, I was almost immediately helped by one of the several employees, despite the place being full of contractors picking up large orders. When I showed the employee what I was painting, she directed me to the paint I should be using instead of the paint I was planning to buy. Despite the fact that there were professionals waiting on large orders, my little $35 can was still valued. I was mixed and out the door in less than 10 min. I will deal with the downtown Naper traffic from now on when I need paint. That was a far less aggravating experience than the hardware store.

I don't believe cans just leak. Maybe they didn't check to see if the lid was secure. Maybe they didn't check the can's structural integrity. Whatever the reason, they won't shake a can once it goes out the door. My opinion, bad customer service. A good customer walked away rejected. I won't ever go back.

Southtown Interiors (Hinsdale, IL) vice president was very accommodating until he received my full…read morepre-payment for materials and installation of window treatments and vinyl wallcovering. After receiving the full payment amount, he requested two additional payments for portions of the same project for which he claimed he "forgot" to charge for in his original/undetailed quote. Again, payments were issued to them even though my post payments cost comparison with other similar vendors indicated Southtown Interiors substantially overcharged me. A month later, he delivered wallcovering material and attempted to install some but the quality of the install was so bad, we had him and his installer stop work. He blamed the wallcovering material as defective and has since indicated he filed a claim with the wallcovering manufacturer for material replacement. Since then, no further work has been completed by Southtown Interiors in spite of my repeated inquiries over the past couple of months that only result in new new excuses for endless delays in issuing appropriate refunds as requested, delivering/installing window treatments, etc. In summary, Southtown Interiors took my money and I received almost nothing in return aside from a multi-months long runaround so now I am intending to file a lawsuit against them to get my money back.

Well, either their computer system was not up to date or they had a busy morning because they were all out. I really don't understand how these paint stores can have no paint! The clerk upgraded me to the next level of quality (which would have been a bit more expensive) without charging for the upgrade, since they didn't have what I wanted to buy. Sherwin-Williams paint is expensive (paint is $$$ anyway these days); I only went with it because that was what my handyman said he uses. Glad I finally got the paint, but overall this was a frustrating shopping experience.
