The experts at this store patiently mixed numerous samples for us until we got just the color scheme we were looking for. The SW website had tools to help us coordinate, too. Skip the box store -- you can't beat the knowledge, quality, and personal service you'll get here. You pay for what you get. And to the owners: Thanks for being members of the Naperville Chamber!

Well, it's a paint store and I'm a person who has a mild to moderate level aversion to deciding…read morewall paint color. It stresses me out, but not because I'm worried about how ish is going to look, but because I literally cannot think of anything more mind-numbing than staring at swatches that are only vaguely varied. Lemme put it this way, I would rather watch the paint dry, than sit there and f*cking stare at eggshell, manila and off-white samples in different light. This is *my* water torture. But alas... it was time for a change, and I *guess* I'm grateful for the nudge. For better part of the last 2 decades and at 2 different houses, I've been living out of a bright orange bedroom. Sounds fun, right? Well it was... for like, the first 5 years... then the next 13, to be honest, were kind of played out. Plus my hair's also been bright orange for the last five years as well, and I think I was veering that point where things were getting kind of creepy... like Picasso's blue period, only I never did anything of value or praise. Anyway, I've been going to Sherwin-Williams for all my wall color needs because my parents recommended it, and they have an account there with all their saved info and I guess there was some sale thing going on as well. I stared at swatches for longer than I ever want to stare at swatches ever again. The color swatch book I had seemed like it had a ton of colors, but then when I got to the store and they were organized so I didn't have flip things back and forth in a book, it didn't seem so expansive... but I suppose I'm glad because that way I could at least get out of there a bit faster. The sales people vary each day and of the 3 days I had gone in, I don't think I ever saw the same person. Some would check in and offer help right off the bat, some would solely work the counter and answer customer questions at check out and the girl on my last visit would mutter annoyances under her breath as she only begrudgingly acknowledged customers and ordered her co-worker man around with one stern B-face. I felt bad leaving him there with her... but he was too old for DCFS and I had to be somewhere at 5 sooo it was outta my hands. Anyway, everything was just fine. Besides the crabby patty on my last visit, everyone else had been both friendly and helpful and we were able to get in and out right quick. My one regret + quick tip would be that I didn't see the Keurig K-cup Chai latte flavor until just this last visit, and even though it was 9,000 degrees outside, I still felt I needed to have a cup just so I could say I did. Amenities are few and far between these days so I make it a point to take advantage whenever possible.

Sherwin-Williams Paint Store - Sherwin Williams SuperPaint peeling off wall

Seeing how the business owner here keeps reporting and deleting my review on Google maps I have to…read morepost it here. Extremely disappointed, I thought I was purchasing high quality paint because it came from Sherwin Williams but I could not have been more wrong. I painted my master bedroom with 2 colors, tan and a deep red. I painted over the previous owners paint (Valspar beige with a flat finish, I know because the previous owner left the remaining can of paint with the house). The red took 3-4 coats to sufficiently cover the lighter beige wall which was a bit frustrating since so many people hyped up their 1 or 2 coat coverage. After the bedroom was finished and completely dried, the slightest graze of the painted surface would result in a scratch and the latex paint could peel off, see my photos. I went back to this location with the paint cans (the paint I purchased, and the prior wall paint), photos of the wall, and peeled latex paint scraps. I explained the whole situation to the staff there and they were not helpful. They said the wall must have been a high gloss surface, wrong it was flat paint and I had the original can to prove it. They said the previous paint was an inferior paint, tell me, who is the parent company of Valspar, it's Sherwin Williams correct? They said a primer should have been used first, primer is required on an unpainted surface which was not my situation, also I purchased their SuperPaint which is a paint and primer in one, do they not stand behind their product descriptions then. They said they would sell me a primer, and more paint at a slight discount. Why would I want more of the paint that failed in the first place I wanted a refund according to their own Sherwin-Williams Lifetime Limited Warranty.

I needed some paint to prime and finish a bathroom vanity I built. Not very familiar with the…read moreproduct but the helpful staff pointed me in exactly the right direction and gave really good advice. Turned our wonderful. No complaints!
