However, Store Manager Mike Vanneste happily assessed the quality of my "old" paint, put it on the machine to shake it thoroughly, and gave me a couple of stir sticks to be sure I was fully prepared to touch up the interior walls of my home. Nice, right! Then, a few weeks later, I needed to repeat the process to touch up additional spots with different paint colors. Supervisor Kyra was equally friendly and helpful. Also, no charge to assess and shake my "old" cans of paint. Must be a Dunn-Edwards thing! Worth noting, I have long been a Dunn-Edwards customer - both for our townhome and the HOA in which it is located, but neither Mike nor Kyra knew that at the time. Salesperson kept asking for Account #. I did not know the account number but told her the contractor's name. This was not acceptable. I kept asking employee to simply match me a quart of interior paint from the sample. She kept throwing more questions at me about what type of paint finish, DE grade names of paint, etc... I informed her that I wasn't concerned about the price. Even a novice like me could tell from the sample that it was flat-based latex. I kept asking her to simply match to the sample. She persisted with an endless barrage of questions she knew I could not answer. She seemed to enjoy my growing frustration with her. I then took my paint sample and headed to SW located a couple of miles away. Gave the paint sample to an employee and asked her for a color match. No problem, within a few minutes I took home a quart of paint and applied it to parts of my wall. Excellent color match! I am Done with Dunn.
