Nice, right! Then, a few weeks later, I needed to repeat the process to touch up additional spots with different paint colors. Supervisor Kyra was equally friendly and helpful. Also, no charge to assess and shake my "old" cans of paint. Must be a Dunn-Edwards thing! Worth noting, I have long been a Dunn-Edwards customer - both for our townhome and the HOA in which it is located, but neither Mike nor Kyra knew that at the time. That's Five-Star service, as well as Five-Star products!

One of the people was the manager in charge (an assistant manager). All of them completed their business with no effort to obtain or wear a mask, and this on a day we're setting new records in the pandemic. The manager lacked a spine. I spoke with him, asked him why he is failing to enforce a posted policy, and he said people are really angry right now. Frankly, if the same people who are going to rallies without masks are in his store and he's too timid to speak up, this place is simply unsafe. If you have a coworker whose deodorant is failing, that's the time for tact. But this is not a time for a manager who can't draw the line. Something as simple as a handwritten sign on the door, "NO ENTRY WITHOUT MASK", would take care of this issue. And if someone enters without one, decline entry. You can't go to Costco without a mask. No one is angry about it in the store. They can't smoke inside the store. Well, maybe with this manager they can. If you are clear you will not have pushback. Wimpy enforcement leads to arguments. Try to enter a hospital without a mask. You'll see competent enforcement and willing compliance. I waited for them to bring my paint to the car (I refused to wait indoors with these issues) and in that time 2 more customers entered and shopped with no masks. That's the reason for a one star review. The store is not a safe shopping experience. I would give it 3 stars for a retail customer otherwise. They charge retail customers much higher prices than the contractors, making it clear we don't really rate much with them. If I were a contractor and there was not a pandemic, then I'd rate them 5 stars. The contractors get fair pricing and good products. But for everyone, unsafe is simply unsafe. Salesperson kept asking for Account #. I did not know the account number but told her the contractor's name. This was not acceptable. I kept asking employee to simply match me a quart of interior paint from the sample. She kept throwing more questions at me about what type of paint finish, DE grade names of paint, etc... I informed her that I wasn't concerned about the price. Even a novice like me could tell from the sample that it was flat-based latex. I kept asking her to simply match to the sample. She persisted with an endless barrage of questions she knew I could not answer. She seemed to enjoy my growing frustration with her. I then took my paint sample and headed to SW located a couple of miles away. Gave the paint sample to an employee and asked her for a color match. No problem, within a few minutes I took home a quart of paint and applied it to parts of my wall. Excellent color match! I am Done with Dunn.

The reasonable price of this paint kept our job within budget without sacrificing quality. A year latter we did some remodeling and needed to touch up. We asked the guys at Southwestern to try to match the color. Their first mix was close but it was easy to see where I touched up. They mixed a second gallon at no cost and this one matched the walls perfectly. That's great customer service. When we have the exterior of our house painted next year, we will request that the painter use Southwestern Paint.

This store sold Alex Ortiz/Arizona General Contractor sherwin-Williams epoxy kit for my patio. Alex…read moreobviously had no training from sherwin-Williams on how to apply the kit. Alex Ortiz shouldn't be working on epoxy jobs. He lacks the knowledge to properly prepare the concrete, and if there's already an existing epoxy, he doesn't remove it; instead, he simply rolls the new epoxy over it. As a result, my patio has suffered from delamination, blistering, roller marks, and puddles and drips throughout. Despite my complaint, Alex's boss and owner, Stephan Johnson, ignored it and refused to offer a resolution. Fortunately, I never paid them the full amount for the work, but I still lost over $700, plus the additional $245 I paid Alex personally. I have to pay another company to remove the epoxy and redo the entire patio 3K! Do not use Arizona Contractors for epoxy work stay away from this company!!
