My "lovely HOA" required me to paint some structures in my patio area. The color required is through this company. I was able to email the business, received a reply within the hour, and have my paint preordered! The rep that assisted me, Sean, showed me where supplies were and gave recommendations based on what I needed. And he didn't make me feel dumb. And lastly, he offered to carry my paint out. Outstanding experience I scheduled an appointment for a color-consult, on-line, with Dawne, the color-advisor at Dunn-Edwards Broadway location. I took a small piece of my existing kitchen backsplash, pictures of my flooring and countertop. Even though I was overwhelmed with jumbled thoughts on color schemes, Dawne listened to my ideas and asked insightful questions. Based on the information I presented, she created the "vision and feel" for my home that I wanted: beautiful, welcoming, and a respite from busy days. Dawne has a wealth of experience and knowledge in design and Dunn-Edwards is fortunate to have her. Good quality paint and a fairly easy purchasing experience at this location. We needed more of some paint that we had made here a few years ago, and with just a photo of the label, they were able to make us another batch of it. We were worried that it might not be that easy, as other big box stores seem to make sure their recipes change every few years so you have to buy all new paint, but Dunn-Edwards doesn't seem to play that game. Much to our relief. It's considerably more expensive, but considering I only needed to buy one extra gallon instead of 10, it evens out and then some. The employees were very helpful, and they had our paint ready at exactly the scheduled time (since we didn't want to wait in store the same day, though it was only a 15 minute wait). I like this location and will come here for all my future paint needs. read more

This is solely a paint review (since you apparently cannot review paints at their main webpage). Very mixed emotions about their "top of the brand" Evershield Exterior Paint. 1) Expensive. 2) Buyer beware for stucco textured houses... this paint HAS a slight sheen to its flat based paint. 3) Any overspray WILL give your house a sheen finish/appearance. Sunlight at angles will show all imperfections. 4) Does NOT cover the smallest of stucco cracks as mentioned on literature. 5) Only Pro - can be colored matched almost perfectly. I am highly disappointed in this product. I pray that the color lasts since it was "ranked best" and formulated to Arizona climate. 5/6/18 - To Whom It Concerns (i.e.. person who replied back)... NOPE after a year, sheen still there. Plus... your sales reps failed to say anything about sheen. But sold me on the paints great ability to cover hair line cracks. read more

Correction: The Dunn Edwards store who mixed our selections was the Broadway store, not the Oracle store. The Oracle store has been working closely with our painter to remix the paints to match the actual colors we ordered. Dunn Edwards. Just an FYI for those of you painting your interiors. We are in the process of painting our house inside with various colors and went to Dunn Edwards [on Oracle] for chips and then paint samples. We picked one sample; painted a poster board twice for consistency and found the color we wanted. Gave the chip and paint name to our painter. The painter came back with the same name color but it was not the same color. He got the paint from the Dunn Edwards store on Broadway. Went back to Dunn Edwards on Oracle who could not match their own sample. Turns out, all of the colors done by the Broadway store were off. The Oracle store had to special process an order which comes "close" but is not the same to the paint sample they gave us. They have also had to redo all the other paint colors [except one] to match their sample. Moral: look elsewhere for your paint or make sure they give you the same paint you got for your sample. read more

Wow! Rate their customer service? The problem with having to issue one star in regard to this Dunn-Edwards location is, we were never once approached by anyone. One star in this case is being generous. Oh wait! We were approached by a salesperson, only to watch them walk past us to select a paint chip next to where we stood, only to walk off without acknowledging us. We'd like to note that there were 3 sales associates shooting the breeze with one another behind the cash registers. Get it together Dunn-Edwards. read more

She is a really polite professional color consultant who tells you if the colors you choose for your home look wonderful or not. New paint colors on our house make it appear lovely. read more

I'm a designer, painter. I only use Dunn-Edwards paint. I go to many stores where I do projects. The staff here was organized, friendly and can't say enough nice things. Many stores don't have this kind of cooperative friendly staff. Kudos to this location. In regards to the paint...really the best. And something to offer any budget and project. read more

I would not have been able to match the paint I needed had it not been for this Dunn-Edwards location. The Home Depot (on E. Broadway) tried to match the color I needed three times but were unsuccessful. I ended up waiting at the Home Depot paint center for 45 minutes so I left in frustration. Thankfully I ran into a Dunn-Edwards employee by coincidence and the guy recommended his shop instead. The next day I dropped of the paint sample and within four hours I had my custom paint matched precisely. They have far more paint hues than any of the brands the Home Depot carries. Dunn is the same quality professional painters use. You won't have to paint so many layers over one wall as I have had to do with the Glidden and Behr brands. The price is not much different either so I was given more for my money at Dunn-Edwards. read more

The employees at this location are tops in their fields! Always professional, and always more than willing to help. I just bought a gallon of custom-color paint last weekend to touch up interior walls that were painted 15 years ago. I wasn't expecting a perfect match, but was hoping to get close. I'm super excited to say that the match was perfect and I couldn't be happier. I honestly don't believe I would have had similar results with HD, Lowe's, or Ace. I like Dunn-Edwards. I really do. But I'm not sure what it is about this location... I've been here about 2-3 times and have had mediocre to subpar experiences. The last time I went here it was the same. I met with the color consultant-- who was not prepared for me, didn't listen to what I was saying, came off as rude and defensive, and was hard to talk to. I couldn't even talk or ask questions without feeling uncomfortable around her because of her response and behavior towards me. I actually ended up cutting the appointment short and left because of how uncomfortable I was with the whole experience. I had other questions I wanted to ask and match a color up but we never got that far since the appointment didn't go well. I have worked with other color consultants before in different locations/ settings and had better experiences with them. Just to clarify, this color consultant seemed good with colors but was very difficult to work with or even just talk to. The supplies and paint are still good quality but the customer service could use some fine tuning at this location. read more
