We went in with the intention of wanting to purchase the Beautyrest Black and was talked out of it and recommended the Sealy Posturpedic - we were sold a bag of goods that if we were not happy with it within 120 days we could exchange it for another matress and if we purchased a mattress equal to or more all the fees would be waived to have it restocked and delivered. We weren't happy with it after 90 days and requested to exchange it for what we originally wanted but was talked into trying to break it in for another week. It seemed strange that we were being asked to break it again more - I don't know what a difference a week would do. What is also strange is that both the person that sold us and another manager I spoke to both said they had the Black Beautyrest - so why was I being pressured to keep a mattress we originally didn't intend on purchasing? We gave it a week and it still wasn't comfortable and went to the Gandy location to have it exchanged as I was done dealing with the other "salesman". It was a pretty easy process however I realized that they charged me for a delivery fee even though we were guaranteed that we wouldn't have any additional charges. I also found out after receiving my matress that there was a promotion and that we should have received either a box spring or adjustable base with our matress which was not mentioned when we purchased it. I only found out because I called the store inquiring about new box springs because the old ones we had did not match the size of the new mattress (even though we had the same size matress previously, which also doesn't make sense). I was told on the phone that we actually could get them as it was a promotion and was told they'd get it set up to be sent. I didn't hear from anyone for a delivery date, so I followed up to find out what the status was. I received a call back stating now that it could be delivered however if we wanted our old ones removed a fee would have to be charged....MIND YOU we would have NEVER incurred these fees if we were told about it and it was sent with the delivery of our new mattress. There has been nothing but excuses made one after the other for the issues we had. The staff seems to either be a used car salesman mentality or inexperienced and unwilling to keep customer relationships. We are happy with our current mattress itself however be very careful when you make a purchase and the "deals" they either promise you or fail to make you aware of! Thank goodness we hopefully don't have to deal with this until hopefully another 10 years!

They carry everything painting related that you could possibly need, so it's a great, one-stop paint shop. I went in to get some ideas as to what color to paint my newly renovated kitchen. The main line they carry is Benjamin Moore. It's a quality paint, and the displays they had offered plenty of paint chip samples for me to choose from. While there I also picked up a beautiful metallic paint for an arts and crafts project. At the register I asked where cheap paint brushes would be - and they man showed me they had three differently-sized $5 brushes right at checkout. So smart and so convenient. I've narrowed down my color choices, so I called ahead to get two sample colors made. Each color cost $6.99, and was ready by the time I arrived to pick it up. They also provided recommendations for painters when I asked, which is so useful. Why deal with the hassle of a big box store, when you can shop here with no fuss? They have been in business since 1933, and I hope they make it another 87 years!

Explained to him I needed a custom cabinet built for my laundry room and confirmed an appointment for him to come over... measure and give me a quote on Monday December 21st at 11:30am. On Monday December 21st... 11:30am came and went. I waited for him until 3:00pm and finally called him. One of his employees answered and said "Art is out at a job now". I explained to the employee that I had been waiting or Art for almost 4 hours and he said he would call him and pass on the message. I waited another 2 days until Wednesday December 23rd before sending an email to Art asking him to please explain what happened.... again nothing... It's now Wednesday December 30th and I have not heard a thing from anyone at A-1 Custom Cabinets. This is definitely not how you treat potential clients. I understand that things happen but not even a phone call to explain !!!
