We found items in the $2 bins for products we use and pay way more for when we order on Amazon. So I did grab those given the discount. The other bins are just hard to explore. Things are in shipping boxes or brown boxes without clear packaging on what the item is. They do have the Amazon sticker so you could scan that to find out but it's going to take time. Staff was friendly and answered our questions. They did have queen mattresses for $300 also.

My mum wanted a particular coffee maker and we had been driving all over town looking for it, just to find out that everyone was sold out. We came home and in the mail was an Ollie's flyer with an ad for that exact coffee maker! (No wonder no one had it. Ollie's is a discount store, specializing in close-outs.) It was already dinner time and mum was all upset thinking that it would be sold out by the next morning. I told her to call this store to see if they even had any before she started to worry. She called and spoke to someone who said they had a couple and promised they would hold one for her. To be honest, I wasn't that hopeful, but guess what? She showed up in the morning and not only did they have it, it was wrapped up with her name on it and safely stashed under a casher's counter waiting for her. So, besides a just nice place to get cheap snacks, discontinued stuff, and books for kids, it's also a place with really honest workers who go out of their way to make sure an elderly woman gets a coffee maker.

Wish they would have separated these out so there weren't two coupons both expiring in November. The one thing I came for (protein bars) they had a very limited stock. That is one challenge with Ollie's because merchandise is constantly changing and is different from location to location. If they would cleanup the merchandise and remove the pallets the rating would go from 3 to 4 or 5. Checkout was quick and efficient. The register operator was nice.

Nope, this is a store in a run-down strip mall that specializes in selling close-to or out-of-date items. Looking for fancy shelving and floors so clean you can eat off them? Go elsewhere. It's obvious this has been at least a couple of other stores long before this company showed up. What you get is a neatly stacked store with items that seem to vary depending upon what they get at any given time. Buy when you see it or possibly lose out. Is some of it outdated? You betcha. However, there is a catch with those manufacturer dates - they are made up. I recently discovered there are very little federal or state regulations concerning those dates; however, manufacturers know you'll ditch something out of fear even if the can or product still looks good. Today I found RC sugar-free cola, 12 pack cans, for $2. In case you're wondering, Walmart has them on "sale" for $5.88. Tastes the same but now I can get 36 cans instead of 12. And how about the Clorox misting spray refill at $1? It sells for $6.78 at Walmart. Now I can get nearly 7 for the price of 1. This list goes on. Since I buy only those items in cans or sealed bottles, I can't comment on the meats, bagged crackers and bread; however, if you consume those perishable items quickly you should be okay. In fact, I have a friend who buys his meats here and cooks them on the grill the same day. He loves the place for the cheap pricing. Staff is attentive and friendly, an oddity given the low bucks nature of the store, but don't let the looks of the store bother you. Like I stated, if you're a neat freak, go elsewhere. As you might imagine, they don't take coupons but they do accept credit cards. If you want deals galore, come here and come often!

Just scan another item in your basket and move on. Nobody is really giving a damn about quality control anyways. Why should you? I was aware that Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of the luxury department store chain, Nordstrom. I went there not expecting Walmart or other merchants prices. I found the men's shirts and pants racks and found several items that were the color and size I was looking for. A shirt that listed at $198.98 was on sale reduced 68% to a mere $74.96. It was a regular long sleeve shirt by Polo, Ralph Lauren. With all due respect to India where the shirt was made, I wondered what costly threads were used to make such a pricey shirt. The same was true of the pants and several other items. Mind you that these items in the off price store were on yet another discounted clearance rack in the store. Nordstrom may want to rethink their sales techniques at their chain of stores before people start realizing it's not a really an off price store.
