The service is always excellent here. From what I've seen, there have always been at least 2…read moreemployees working in the store. I'm always willing to pay a little more here than going to Lowe's because of the service and expertise offered at the actual retail store. When I go to the bigger home improvement stores, there is always a much longer wait time, and the employees definitely look like they hate their jobs. They have also gotten a paint color I requested wrong; like completely wrong. I don't even know what color they mixed because it wasn't on the label they printed. All I know is that I can not trust those bigger stores. End of rant. Going back to this particular store, I am very happy with the quality of the paint and how the employees also try to help you work within your own budget. They are honest, respectful, and very patient. Definitely will continue buying my paint here.

I and my contractor have been clients of SW in Herndon for years now, and every single time we go,…read moreit's a great experience. Although over the years the staff have changed, the standard of service has not. Uniformly polite, knowledgeable, friendly, quick--the list goes on. I went just a few days ago for the first time in quite a while and after having had a bit of a bad day. But when I came out, I was smiling and had forgotten what was on my mind, because the staff knew both exactly what I needed in terms of paint, and treated me with kindness and care. And, b/c I am a returning customer and work through a contractor usually, they also made sure to apply every legitimate discount they could, making the purchase extremely reasonable. I would not go anywhere else.

We are in the process of re-painting our cabinets so went to the Sherwin-Williams Paint store in…read moreIce Rink Center. Manager Mario and his team very helpful. Received help in color selection, sample paint, print boards, brushes and a ton of great information. Reserved parking spots right at the entrance.

Overall, a nice store. I love that they have a table where you can sit and look at the color…read moresamples and match things up. It also helped to keep my kids in one space while my husband and I picked colors. The store is clean, as is the restrooms. The Keurig machine was plus to be able to grab a wam drink and pick out colors. The paint is pretty expensive, so if you are painting a lot you should wait for a sale or find a coupon. For the best quality paint it runs about $65 a gallon so you want to make sure you pick a color you love. They do sell sample cans for about $7. They also sell tons of painting supplies. Since I don't paint much I don't know how the prices compare to Home Depot/Lowe's on the supplies. We asked why it is so much more than Home Depot. They claim that it is good quality, easier to clean and won't fade. SInce we are still only in the sample phase and getting ready to make a big purchase of paint on Friday when the sale hits it is hard to say if it is worth the price difference. So far we are have purchased about 7 sample cans to confirm the color in our room. Our problem with two of the colors we chose is we chose to light since we were afaid of it being "too dark" so we have had to go up a color with both of those rooms and seem happier with our choice. Looking forward to putting my husband to work painting our house and finally having paint that is easier to clean off than those sticky finger prints that sometimes make it to my wall from my kids. I hate the builder grade paint...anytime I try to clean some off it takes some of the drywall off with it. I wish I could have convinced my husband (and ageed on colors) to paint two years ago when we moved in. Now to go figure out colors for a few more rooms....
