We could not be more impressed with our experience at Custom Floor & Design. From start to finish,…read morethey went far beyond my expectations. Their extreme level of craftsmanship and attention to detail truly speaks for itself, and the final result delivered tremendous actual value--not just aesthetically, but in outstanding quality and durability. Their design specialist, Han, efficiently explained all the proper materials needed to complete the project. And this was no small project....an entire (freshly painted) home to inlcude carpet, refinish wood flooring, and adding LVP. His expertise, attention to detail, and organization made the process seamless and gave me confidence that every detail was being handled with care. Benny, the owner, went above and beyond by personally double-checking the contract, verifying the quantity of top-shelf materials needed, and even surveying the home himself as a courtesy. That level of involvement and commitment to excellence is rare and greatly appreciated. Edward completed the work with a remarkable eye for the finishing touches, and ensured everything came together flawlessly. His precision and craftsmanship were evident in every corner and truly elevated the final result. What certianly stood out just as much as the work itself was their outstanding and transparent communication. Every step of the process was clearly explained, timelines were realistic and honored, and any questions we had were answered promptly and honestly. If you're looking for a team that delivers exceptional results while making the entire process smooth and stress-free, without question or hesitation, we highly recommend Custom Floor & Design.

It was a no brainer to choose them. When it comes to the work itself, the craftsmanship was very good, the cuts are so clean and everything looks amazing. They did very fast work without sacrificing quality. The only areas for improvement I would say they could have are: - Communication during the days of the project, so you know without having to ask when they are coming, leaving, what the progress is, etc. - Ensuring when they put furniture and things back that they pay attention to things like hooking up HDMIs back to the correct places - Doing a better job of cleanup -- they left behind a TON of dust coating everything, sawdust in my basement that I presume blew in from leaving the garage entrance open where they were working, cans/water bottles left behind - Building in measurement/space for lower flooring to not leave a gap in the trim; they came back and did some caulking after I had a water/rain issue, but it still doesn't look as good -- I wish that their molding/trim solution filled the big gaps and I'm going to have to find a way to do that myself To their credit, they were very fast and responsive when I had a water issue and came back out the next day. I also had a crack in my basement ceiling where something pounded through or pounded the drywall loose from the flooring above being done, and they credited me enough money back to be able to have my handyman fix it. Overall, I would definitely use DFD again.

But once we scheduled the appointment with CKB, lots of other projects popped up with our old, new house: knocking pipes when the hot water is on, an old fireplace mantle with water damage behind it, a wall-mounted tv that the previous owners stuck right into flammable insulation. But it didn't matter! Quinn, Cherie, and Carlos completed our whole list within ONE WEEK and within our budget. The team painted everything from ceilings to baseboards and covered up the previous yellow and navy blue paint! They completely replaced the damaged drywall behind our brick fireplace and installed a new electrical outlet for the wall mounted tv, in addition to adding fireproof insulation! And they fixed our knocking pipes by cutting into our walls and spray foaming around the culprits. Totally professional and on time every day. It was great! Can't wait to have them back to renovate our old bathrooms.

So, when we had a water…read moreleak resulting in moderate water damage to 1/4 of the basement and some insurance proceeds, we decided to contact CK&B to revisit the basement layout and modernize things a bit. Primary emphasis was a layout that could evolve over time and recapturing some floorspace. Start to finish was 3-4 weeks. This included tearing out popcorn ceiling, wiring in ~11 new recessed lights, new flooring, new kitchenette, small updates to a guest bathroom, painting all the things (including a chalkboard 1/3 wall) and a redesigned fascia for our fireplace. It also included a "secret room" for the kiddo that Quinn took on as a personal project, as we've been juggling complex medical issues for a few years. Needless to say that resulted in a lot of smiles and it has been getting a ton of use. The plywood in the secret room is 3/4" and we plan to add some rock climbing grips to it in the future. Pearl and Monica were easy to communicate with and any issues (ex: some painting needed to be revisited) were handled promptly. They were very flexible with pricing and really went out of their way to make this work for us. I'm deeply appreciative of the work they did for our child and the flexibility they demonstrated with some of my last-minute design tweaks. This is an easy recommend from me.

Horrible customer service and products. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more We ordered very large master bathroom vanity cabinets from Rick in the Chantilly VA location Nov 2022, the cabinets were delivered on time, early Jan 2023. First, the delivery company was very unprofessional and rude. They proceeded to tell me that Cabinet Discounters should have told me that they will only leave them in the garage, which I said I was never told that and it's winter and I do not want them to warp. They ended up leaving the cabinets in the middle of my dining room...6 extremely large boxes. My contractor attempted to install them a few days later and notice one of the doors was not the same design as the rest of the doors. We also noticed a drawer was broken and several panels were warped and not able to align. We called Rick, sent pictures and he ordered the "correct" panel (which when rec'd, was a different color, therefore we had to re-order again). After much back and forth with Rick and he telling me that we will have to pay for someone to come out and "fix" their issue, Rick then came out to our house to see if he can align the cabinets and also to assess the issues. He confirmed there were major issues with the panels and that the doors were warped, etc. Rick took pictures and was supposed to write up what he observed and what was being orders so that we knew what deliveries to expect. We never rec'd a write up from Rick... we then proceeded with in the next few weeks to get 3 additional shipments of panels that were ordered. Again, when we received the additional panels, one broken (which again we had to have another replacement). Once ALL replacement doors were recd, we had our contractor come back (additional cost to us) to attempt to reinstall the 6 panels. Our contractor noticed some of the "new" panels are longer than other, some are wider than others, and again some appear to be warped since they cannot close flush. Again, he was unable to be aligned some cabinets. We have sent emails, made phone calls, Rick has told us that the manufacture is going to call us back, #homecrest and we haven't heard from anyone. It's been over two months now that we have had cabinets installed (without panels), over half of the panels are sitting in my hallway, paid in FULL, paid our contractor additional money in an attempt to "reinstall" the cabinets two separate times. We have had a master bath completely renovated and been waiting two months to be able to use our cabinets. This is horrible customer service, horrible products. They haven't acknowledged the time, money and inconvenience this has caused. They have completely gone silent.

He was flexible and quick to respond with availability for a site visit. While walking through the home, he gave us several money saving tips and advice on how to replace the carpet with a durable but cost effective option for our rental. He was so patient throughout the entire process. We were supposed to get back to him within the same week with our decision of whether we would move forward or not. There was a miscommunication on our part where i thought my husband was going to book the job, and my husband was under the impression that i was taking the lead on booking the carpet replacement. By the time we both realized the ball got dropped, it had been ONE month since Sasan visited our property. He responded with grace and patience. He gave us absolutely no "attitude" for the delay in response. Instead he made it a point to work around our schedule so we could move forward without any problems or delays. SECOND PART: What really impressed us is Sasan's level of professionalism. Due to unexpected circumstances, we decided to cancel the carpet replacement job one week before installation. Instead of being difficult, Sasan was still just as polite and understanding on the phone and via email. He returned our full deposit within 3 business days of us canceling the job. Not once did Sasan make us feel guilty or accuse us of wasting his time. Although we did not go through with the rental property carpet replacement, we are confident Sasan will be our POC for carpet upgrade in our new home AND I have already provided my mother with his info for her SFH carpet replacement job. Again, this review is for our "experience" only, BUT it shows us this company is dedicated to customer satisfaction through: professionalism, integrity, and reliability.
