Brought in an old can of paint and asked them to get me a new can with the same codes. They gave me the paint and took my money. I got home and realized that the codes on the old and new cans didn't match. I went back and said they made a mistake. No, it wasn't a mistake, they just didn't use these old codes anymore. They also told me it probably wouldn't match the old paint color when I tried to do some repair work. Very disappointed they didn't tell me that in advance! Typically I only review something when it's positive, but this place is so bad there should almost be a public service announcement. You walk into an empty store with zero employees. After awkwardly looking for what you want and a fair bit of loitering around the counter you actually have to start shouting if anyone is there. Someone in the back will reluctantly saunter to the counter and ask what you want. Any paint you want they likely "don't have in stock" or "don't carry" or for some reason "can't be mixed" right now. Once they denied having any exterior paint. When I pointed to the sign that said "exterior paint" with samples underneath it, she said "I don't know who put that there. It needs to come down. That's so retarded." That's a direct quote. Classy, am I right? Regardless of the what they claim the paint's quality level is, it has the consistency of sour milk. Literally will not stick to the wall. After 2 applications and appropriate drying times, not only can you see every single brush stroke, but you can still see through it! And that's painting white over another shade of white! I should note this was not an isolated incident at the store, since I've been there several times, and everyone I've talked to always has the same thing to say about the quality of Sherwin-Williams paint (or lack thereof). Obviously there's extremely poor management, indignant and frankly offensive employees, and seriously, they told me exterior yellow paint "can't be done." Like that's even a thing. Combine that with the crappy and overpriced product, and believe me, just go to Ace. Half the price, awesome quality, they can do anything, and you don't have to send in a search party to find anyone. read more

I'm so impressed with Gloria who took my call requesting a product. Although this store does not carry the particular product I was looking for, Gloria went above and beyond trying to locate it. After much research and several phone calls she was able to locate it and have it sent to her store for pickup. This type of service is not something I experience regularly with retail businesses, so count me in as very satisfied. read more

These guys have come in so clutch for me MANY times. Everyone has always been nice and super helpful. I love the cashmere paint on the walls- goes on a bit different- end result is AWESOME! And also LOVE their Emerald trim paint that is Enamel- you almost can not mess it up- has awesome self leveling- it's a bit pricey- worth it for trim and cabinets trust me!!! They have kept track of what I have bought and it has been handy many times! read more

Super friendly! Greeted me as soon as I entered the store and got to work. Another employee in the back also checked on me when they came out, to make sure I was getting helped. They were fast and helpful in suggesting the type of paint for my dining room. Highly recommend! I'll be back! read more

The people in this store would rather blame anyone who walks in for their bad day or mood. I just don't think there is any reason to pass your negativity on to others. It doesn't take very much effort to just be nice to people. I am a firm believer that if you hate your job that much, quit. There is someone out there that would love to take your place with a smile. read more

The store was not very busy, but the computer took forever to find what I needed. The smallest container they carry is a quart that cost $25, so getting samples to try different colors is out of the question. The customer service was ok. Seemed like I was bothering them, not very helpful overall. read more

Customer service SHOCKING! I walk into an empty store about 2:30pm on a Wednesday. I explained I hoped to locate additional wallpaper I purchased there 2 years ago. I was literally one step in the door and told they have no idea what paper they carry. I replied "Oh, I have all the info still. I know what it's called and the numbers, I even have a picture of the label on the last unopened roll I have." I was told "We don't know what books we have." And with that she turned around and left us just standing there alone in the store wanting to give her cash for something the store sells. Okie dokie, well, sweetness I had already located the paper online from multiple vendors (The Home Depot, Wallpaper to go & Eades) cross referenced it under several different manufacturers (Chesapeake, Brewster & York) so, We hopped back in the car, backtracked a mile to The Home Depot, ordered the paper..... plus 2 others. Thanks for reminding me why I usually forget about SW and go to anywhere else. read more

Don't ever go here!!! Horrible customer service at Keene!!! We bought 15 gallons of their super paint deep base. The sales man assured us that we can buy the paint now and come back and mix it at no extra charge; what they'll do is just swap it out for gallon containers if we needed different colors. And we did that believing we'd have no problems. My husband went back about a week later after we bought the paint and wanted to swap our a 5 gallon paint for a gallon of color for our trim and 4 gallon for the house paint. No luck. The lady there said they don't do that for free. They were going to charge us extra for swapping out the paint which we had already paid for. So instead of getting different colors, he got all 5 gallons in one color. My husband went back again today to tint the rest of our 10 gallons. The store manager of Sherwin Williams on Keene in Richland didn't know how to do a simple exchange of paint on the register. The manager said that he'll have to return the paint, and then repurchase it. My husband had stated why are you the manager when you don't know how to do a simple exchange; manager stated the register doesn't allow for that. So my husband then had stated if you do a return on the register, I'm sure there is a way to do an exchange. So the manager showed him the register, and my husband showed him how to process an exchange. How is it that a paying customer has to show an employee how to do their job? We will never be doing business there again. read more
