Back in the beginning of February, I ordered six interior doors and an exterior door. The doors were installed on February 26-27. At that time it was determined the linen closet door was an "in swing" rather than an "out swing". The store was made aware of this, by the installer, on February 26. My salesperson was also made aware. As of April 26th, I still do not have the door. I have spoken to several people including the store manager and assistant manager as well as the installation company; I am so frustrated at this point. This was a very large and expensive purchase and I should not have been the one running after people to get this problem solved. My salesperson was aware of this issue from the get go and should have been on this every single day until the issue was resolved. I will never make another purchase from Lowe's again. My wife purchased a winch for me as a Christmas gift during the "12 Days of Christmas" sale. She showed an image to an employee and reasonably believed she was buying the synthetic rope version. Unfortunately, she was given the wire rope version instead. During the sale, both versions were the same price, so there was no price difference at the time of purchase. When I went into the store (I'm from Kennewick) and explained the honest mistake, I simply asked for a one-for-one exchange. The manager was extremely dismissive, showed no empathy, and made it clear she was unwilling to help. She told me I was out of luck and could only return the item and repurchase the synthetic version at full price, stating she "didn't feel comfortable" honoring the original sale even though the item had already been sold at that price. This was a straightforward situation that could have been resolved easily, but instead it was handled poorly and unprofessionally. The manager should not be in customer service, and the district manager should seriously consider intervention if they want to preserve this location's reputation. I will be warning others and leaving reviews anywhere possible to ensure people are aware of how customers are treated here.
