My wife purchased a winch for me as a Christmas gift during the "12 Days of Christmas" sale. She showed an image to an employee and reasonably believed she was buying the synthetic rope version. Unfortunately, she was given the wire rope version instead. During the sale, both versions were the same price, so there was no price difference at the time of purchase. When I went into the store (I'm from Kennewick) and explained the honest mistake, I simply asked for a one-for-one exchange. The manager was extremely dismissive, showed no empathy, and made it clear she was unwilling to help. She told me I was out of luck and could only return the item and repurchase the synthetic version at full price, stating she "didn't feel comfortable" honoring the original sale even though the item had already been sold at that price. This was a straightforward situation that could have been resolved easily, but instead it was handled poorly and unprofessionally. The manager should not be in customer service, and the district manager should seriously consider intervention if they want to preserve this location's reputation. I will be warning others and leaving reviews anywhere possible to ensure people are aware of how customers are treated here.
