I didn't know where to wait for my turn and asked him: Ignored: There were several very kind employees, and one busy, talented employee who was very busy helping other employees out. If you are older and need to sit, or are disabled and can't stand long, you might end up standing a long time when it is busy, and the chairs are full, so heads up. However, that is an improvement over when the store had no chairs.

She brought in a Pantone color guide, he picked out paint that matched it exactly, advised us on what brands and what they'd deliver, helped us pick out some detail brushes and provided advice on getting the job done. Everything we could ask for. He even had a decent sense of humor--not what you might expect in a paint store chap. The store is well lit and clean, inventory is stocked well and things seem easy to find. Someone cares. I recommend them. Would I come back and buy more? In a heartbeat. The crotchety customer service guy was not there and people seemed very eager, yeah... eager, to help. I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. I have never before met anyone at TS who wanted to help a customer. I guess competition from Menards and Orsheln's finally broke them down. I was able to get the rabbit feed for my friend and on my merry way. I had to make a return the next day and I just knew I the magic would be gone. Much to my surprise, the return was very seamless and easy. So glad it went well. I do think their prices are high on some things. Overall, the prices seem decent but there were some items where I thought they were slightly higher than in other stores. I suppose it all boils down to what you are looking to purchase. The products are nicely displayed and the store is always clean and well lit. The merchandise seems to be well stocked and easy to find. They seem to have a little of everything. They have people shampoo, items for a variety of different animals, clothing, boots, heaters, hoses.. just about you would need for life on the farm or if you have a friend that has a rabbit.

However, under the definition of Bait-and-Switch there should be a picture of this store. They have outstanding sales and they rely on volume. Lots and lots of volume. Again, I should know. I am at this store a lot. Did I say "volume"? lol. I have had to locate items myself on a few occasions. The other day they were having a Buy 3, Get 3 free. I bought three items but it came within a gift set they had thrown together in a cellophane wrapper and tied with a ribbon. The item was priced as if I purchased the three items separately. They refused, however, to allow me the BOGO. The store in Lawrence is small. It is difficult to get around sometimes because of the size. The aisles are not large and during their heavy shopping times, navigating this store is very difficult. They renovated a few years ago but, dang, they did not make this place any bigger. The service from the staff is inconsistent. I have had AMAZING service here and I have had non-existent service here. More than once I have entered the store and no one has said one word of greeting to me but they will greet the person that comes into the store next. Kinda hurts my feelings. I do not look like a sorority girl. I am not blonde, blue eyed and I don't carry a Michael Kors bag. I have noticed that those customers get more attention at times but, perhaps, it is my imagination. Other times, I am treated like the Belle of the Ball. For the most part, the customer service is great. They constantly change their product line, save for a few staples. This allows for new fragrances and items to pique your interest. The downside is that if you find a scent you love, be prepared to never find it again. I understand that from a marketing perspective but it does get frustrating. I have no problems with the products and use them everyday. The scented hand sanitizers are my favorite. The prices are good and you do get some great bargains here. Buy three and get three free? You cannot beat that price anywhere. The only thing I want from them is more consistent customer service. Otherwise, great place to get your girly on.
