All of it. They also have pretty strong pricing. Every time I've price shopped or compared with all the usual suspects - both brick and mortar, and online - Menards is either the best price, or darn close. And that's even before the goofy rebates (more below). The primary thing I dislike about their approach to commerce is that they don't offer as liberal a free shipping policy as the likes of Amazon, Home Depot, etc. So, many times I order online and then get stuck being required to come in to pick up my order. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's definitely a major hit against day-to-day convenience in the Amazon age. The other thing I really dislike is the constant "rebate" scheme they like to employ. I know every place has their goofy quirks, but I really dislike the difficulty of this sort of business practice. It feels about the same as when airlines show you an airfare on the first page, only to find out that there are fees behind that which nearly double the actual cost. It's just a way for them to show you a less-realistic low price to keep you from surfing to the competition. Lastly, while the people who work here always seem polite and are helpful when I speak with them, hunting them down can be akin to finding a needle in a haystack. That said, due to the first point - selling everything - and usually at a fair price, they get plenty of my business!

Went to front of store (see pic A) and the Orange sign on door stated "Order Pick Up" (See pic B). I went inside that door and told the 2 people behind counter (not doing anything) I needed to pick up my order. One of the people said "you need to go to the back of the store, then all the way to the left side to pick up order. This is a very large store. Anyway, I went to that location and there was a line waiting to talk to one of the 3 guys behind the counter. I was at the wrong counter. When it was my turn one guy said I needed to go back into the next room through a doorway. I went there and here was a young guy there that helped me. He took off and eventually came back with my small package. Now since I parked outside the front door that had a sign that stated "ORDER PICKUP", I had to go back through the store to the checkout area (I was already on far East side of store anyway) and walk through the checkout area where people were waiting to pay. Then I had to exit outside because I did not see any way to exit without going back completely through the store again! I had parked all the way at the West end of the store in handicap parking where, I had originally come inside (because the sign on the door stated "ORDER PICK UP". Very messed up system with lots of people not doing much. Sorry I used Menards and as I stated before, NEVER AGAIN!

This is our go to place for Benjamin Moore paint. The color selection for the brand is excellent…read more We have tried Ultra Spec 500, Regal, Aura, and Advance (used for woodwork). Ultra Spec 500 is definitely the best for walls. Regal and Aura are overpriced and tend to drip to due paint viscosity, so I wouldn't use these lines unless you plan on having your home professionally painted. Advance tends to drip as well, so you will need to practice if you plan on using it yourself. Otherwise, I would recommend hiring a professional painter to apply Advance. There seems to be some pricing discrepancies each time I buy in the store. Sometimes they will apply a painter's discount and other times will charge me full price. I have addressed the problem with the store manager on a couple of occasions. My only real complaint is they tend to ignore customers in the store unless they are professional painters. Of course, they make more money on these customers, but they should at least acknowledge a customer when he or she comes in and say how long it will be before they help them. I saw one woman sitting at a table for over 20 minutes without help. Not acceptable. I have gotten to the point that I just write my order down, place it on the counter, and then go to Einstein Bagels to get something to eat. By the time I come back, my order is typically ready.

Unless you are a painter and order frequent enough, you don't really get preferred pricing. The deals/specials don't happen all the time. Run farrr away!!!! Do not use Lowe's for any type of home installation projects. You will spend…read morehours project managing the job you paid them to do, you will spend hours in store only for them to make excuses as to why they are not able to find the custom order parts THEY ordered. They also won't order the correct product for you, which delays it more and expect you to store the material they do have at your house. The project will be two months late with the 3rd party installation team frustrated as well with how poorly managed Lowe's is. You will ask them to be compensated/refunded and they will offer less than 5% for their screw up and never return phone calls. We have used both Home Depot and Lowe's and home depot is far superior. They do not care about customers nor your project or being on time. The installation person they send out for the initial portion to show their options has zero follow up or follow through once you approve the product and sign the document. They don't offer any help or guidance when things go wrong. The store manager also does not give you the time of day, even on a slow Sunday while you wait for over an hour. This was all for one front door- just a slab with two sidelights! Lowe's was awful, we will never use them again. I doubt we ever shop there again.

The assortment of random rare wood pieces was the most surprising, yet the board selection is formidable. I bought an ice-cream scoop kit that demands you build it a handle; made a handle for it out of some 25 year-aged osage orange I had sitting around. The kit broke in like 5 ways, so... I don't know, still a great place for wood working enthusiasts. Tools galore, they have so much to play with in there; honestly, first time in, and I spent more than an hour walking around and touching things. They also have a great email system set up, so sign up for that. The location is a little Narnia-esq, what with the lefts and the rights and the straights, and don't get me started on the parking. But worth it I'd surmise. Work some wood; it'll do you good.
