Run farrr away!!!! Do not use Lowe's for any type of home installation projects. You will spend hours project managing the job you paid them to do, you will spend hours in store only for them to make excuses as to why they are not able to find the custom order parts THEY ordered. They also won't order the correct product for you, which delays it more and expect you to store the material they do have at your house. The project will be two months late with the 3rd party installation team frustrated as well with how poorly managed Lowe's is. You will ask them to be compensated/refunded and they will offer less than 5% for their screw up and never return phone calls. We have used both Home Depot and Lowe's and home depot is far superior. They do not care about customers nor your project or being on time. The installation person they send out for the initial portion to show their options has zero follow up or follow through once you approve the product and sign the document. They don't offer any help or guidance when things go wrong. The store manager also does not give you the time of day, even on a slow Sunday while you wait for over an hour. This was all for one front door- just a slab with two sidelights! Lowe's was awful, we will never use them again. I doubt we ever shop there again. read more

From those professionals that wield a cordless drill in one hand, a hammer in the other with a tool belt that would make Batman jealous to those of us who don't know the difference between a miter saw and compound miter saw, Lowes is THE place to stop by for so many home improvement projects. Located right off of Blackbob in a safe part of town, however I have had issues with their employees. From people complaining about me "masking up" to not being able to find someone to help, I'm not exactly enthusiastic when I need help there. I've found myself doing a lot of home improvement projects from finishing an attic, repairing side paneling to upgrading my yard and I've always found what I needed. Moreover, I got my Weber Grill from there and I use my it at least 3 times a week. Also, I had to upgrade a drill and the associate advised me against one product for another that has lasted me years. I've needed keys and it took literally 10 seconds. Oh, and for paint.... They're experts at matching colors. I'm not going to wax poetic like I do in other reviews but end with this Lowes is great for all sorts of reasons. Stop by for all those home improvement or professional needs. But if you need help that might be an issue. read more

If you are looking to complete an install project with Lowes run the other way! I wanted to do an in store cabinet design, was told that virtual would be quicker as the stores don't have enough designers to be fully staffed. I took the advice on using the virtual service... big mistake. First red flag was my designer (Dean) being unable to figure out simple modifications without me finding solutions to problems. Once I decided to move forward an installer (Jim) was assigned and came out to measure. After the purchase was completed with my designer my project was moved to the project coordinator (Chelsea). It turns out my designer did not put my order in the system to be processed correctly so a delay (unknown length) occurred. Chelsea called a couple of times to give updates. These updates were largely unhelpful and any request I had was met with a road block. Then came time to schedule delivery. Chelsea called to let me know delivery was confirmed for 12/12. I asked who confirmed that as nobody had checked to see if that worked for me. She then provided me with a phone number for "island deliveries". They refused to give me any information and told me "they would call when they were ready to deliver". I then attempted to contact Chelsea back to get the issue resolved. After numerous calls and an email, I was unable to get through to anyone (later told the phones were malfunctioning). I was finally contacted by Chelsea a week later and basically told sorry I had something come up. At this point I went into the store and spoke with DJ who was very helpful in getting me answers about delivery although nothing could be done about the date they would come. The delivery company gave me a window in the middle of the day 10-2 causing me to miss an entire day of work. I called on delivery day to schedule install. Install cannot be scheduled unless the cabinets are physically onsite per "Lowe's policy". Nobody was able to speak to me and because I had appliances on the same order being held at a lowes warehouse the order didn't show as delivered to my installer(despite me calling Lowe's, and the installer). While waiting for the installer to schedule me I went back to the store and spoke with Richard who seemed irritated that I came to the store for help after completing a virtual design. Richard was however helpful in resolving the issue with appliances location/ staging in the warehouse. When my installer finally contacted me he was booked until Christmas and was scheduled to take time off until January 5th. I should note that no other installers are available in this area per his employer "boss pro services". 1/5 he showed up at my home sick with the flu and asked if I wanted him to come inside to attempt install. I declined as he looked very unwell and asked to have someone from Lowe's call me. After several phone calls (Lowe's and boss pro)and going to the store yet again I have no other option but to wait and hope he is feeling well enough by Friday to install as no other installers are in the area. I should also note that he will be installing alone and part of my install is a double wall oven that weighs aprox 200 lbs. I asked how that will be completed without help and was told it won't be a problem. I should note that due to the delays I have had to reschedule my electrician, counter top template and plumber costing me time and money. My recommendation is to hire a local independent installer and skip the headache of using Lowe's. read more

Went into the appliance section of the store to look at a microwave we found online at their store. Another customer came up with the same one we were looking at and we just casually asked Richard, who was ringing up the customer who had the microwave, if there "happened to be one more in the back?". He proceeded to tell us "There's 500 of them back there." My husband said "oh I didn't know, it only shows 2 in stock online, so I was just curious if you saw another one" To which Richard replied "I don't know which one you want" .... This is waaaay to many stars. We bought a refrigerator on 8/19 to be delivered 8/20. The installers were perturbed that they had to switch doors and in the process they dropped a door on a tool and punctured it. They tried to get us to take it, but no way with the puncture. Then they tell us they have to get another fridge overnight and cannot even deliver until later tomorrow. Everyone after the store associate has been rude with ZERO customer service mentality. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE IF ANYTHING MUST HAPPEN AFTER THAT SALE IS NEEDED. THEY STINK!!! They don't even answer their phones. read more

I know the world is full of obnoxious people, but this Lowe's will do you one better. Our fridge was ordered last week. We took two days off work to be here for delivery--the truck arrived a few days after initial purchase, but don't worry, it gets much worse. The delivery folks saw me and almost drove off with the fridge. Not only did they not install it, they didn't want to bring it up to the front door and said they would come back later. I argued with them and said they need to at least leave the fridge here. They brought it into my living room (unassembled) and left, refusing to put it in the kitchen, install it or take the old one away--all of which were part of the order or should have available for a fee upon delivery. I spent half a day on the phone with a poor staff member who did her best to connect me to anybody handling deliveries or installs. When I finally got to someone who works in that department, I was told that Lowe's has their own delivery staff (not true) and that I should just put my old fridge out on the curb if I wanted it taken away. They told me they would send someone that day or tomorrow. He was extremely condescending ("Seeee? We're on the phone with you. We're helping you.") After going back to the location in person, they gave us a completely different date. We had to pay to hire someone else to come in and see if he can install it, but most likely we'll need to hire more folks to haul it into the kitchen and help us get rid of the old one, too. This Lowe's is a revolving door of employees. The service is appalling, I placed an online order for pick up. They decided not to fill it because of my name and their excuse was that they suspected the order was fake. Over heard them saying that they just didn't want to fill the order because a forklift was required. The manager said " sorry " when I physically went to ask why my order was cancelled. I had no problem with the actual employees at the store. My experience with customer service over the phone has been eye-opening. I have been trying to resolve an electronic gift card issue since June. I keep getting told someone will call me back within 24 hours or that I will have an email follow up within two business days. Long story short, today I had two customer service representatives put me on hold and leave me so long that I got put back to the main menu. The last representative hung up on me after I asked to have the call escalated. I was told to go to the store. After 5 trips to the store, I'm done. i keep asking myself if $400 is worth this headache. Being hung up on was the icing on the cake. read more

I purchased a washer and dryer here and paid for installation. The dryer was installed incorrectly and fell out of the duct after 3 months. It could have easily started a fire if I had not discovered the issue early. And Lowe's is refusing to rectify the situation. Also, buying warranty on the appliance does not cover faulty installation. Take this as a sign and don't buy applicances here. They don't care about the work they do and it shows. read more

Well, I'd like to start off by being completely honest. We originally bought garage doors from the Lowe's off 95th and Metcalf earlier this year. They totally screwed up the order and we waited much longer for our garage door delivery than anticipated. Forward to December 27 2004. We had to buy a new refrigerator and went to the Lowe's here on black Bob. We found a refrigerator that met our needs nutty pansy incredibly basic. We were told it would be delivered today. The delivery men arrived just prior to 9 AM this morning. When they got here, the refrigerator was damaged. They wanted to know if we would like to accept it but with a discount. Not sure why they would think we'd want to buy it or accept it considering that there seem to be an issue with the compressor. With that said, of course, we did not get our refrigerator today. They're going to have to interrupt our workday tomorrow to deliver the refrigerator. The customer service agent that the delivery people spoke to gavehalf assed apology as to the damaged fridge and failing to meet our expectations. I informed him that this is their second screwup of the year. And again he didn't really seem to care. We will accept the new fridge. They will hopefully arrive tomorrow undamaged. However, if I buy anything from them again, it'll be small purchases only.. read more

I purchased a dishwasher from this Lowes and they gave me an installation window for Monday the 16th from 8am-5pm I took the day off work and nobody showed up. After try for hours to speak to someone finally got the 3rd party contractor and they said there system has problems where it may schedule an install and not have people available to do the install. The next available install was 3 days away. I asked how I was going to be compensated for taking the whole day off of work nothing they could do. Tried calling the Lowes store to complain and no picked up at 4pm. Finally got someone and the hung up one. Never purchase appliances from this place. They take no responsibility!!! read more

Absolutely mind blown right now. We wanted to replace our carpet. Easy enough right. NOPE! Salesmen was awesome at the store. No problem with Ty whatsoever. However the guy (unfortunately we never got his name) they sent to measure was AWFUL! Couldn't even park correctly in the street, blocked the driveway facing the wrong way. Literally too lazy to pull around. ‍ Then HE STOOD on my son's bed to get the measurements!!! Who does that!!!! He also couldn't answer any questions we had. Then we had to go back and forth with estimate team because he gave them incorrect information. Then finally the estimate team said they couldn't remove our carpet because this incompetent idiot told them our carpet was heavily stained with dog urine. There isn't a single urine stain ANYWHERE on our carpet. I've had it professionally cleaned every 6mths for the last 8yrs!!!!! Yes we have dogs. Yes the carpet is old and not in great shape. Why do you think we want it replaced? Removing old carpet is YOUR JOB! So we called Nebraska furniture Mart. The person they sent was super professional, answered all our questions and we are getting a much better carpet for cheaper. He didn't need to stand on my son's bed to measure either. They have no issue pulling up the carpet and hauling it away. Looked at us like we were nuts when we told him about our experience with Lowe's. Horrible service in flooring. I needed tile from top shelf. Per Thomas, the salesperson in flooring..there was no one who could run a lift to get it down. He took my number and said they would call me later in the day when it was ready....never did. I called next AM and talked to Thomas again who said they were really busy and didn't have time to get it down with a lift. He recommended 'maybe you need to try another Lowes store' . (The other stores did not have the quantity needed!!) Finally by going to the store and working through a store manager, we got it. Wow! Used to go here and have come here 3 times in the last month and every single time it took more than an hour, for a small pickup, simple return etc. No one seemed to know up from down. Phones ringing off hook. No communication about being delayed and not having the product I needed (that it said they had 700 of online), just leaving us to wait over an hour. I was picking up an order I placed, which I later found out was locker pickup (first time doing one of those). I accidentally walked past it and went to the pickup counter and a nice gentleman helped guide me and made sure I was set before he went back to the counter. I don't remember his name but he was very kind about the situation. All I know is he had arm tattoos and again very helpful and kind! I have really held off writing this review for a while but todays call opend up the flood gates. Most of the products and the sub-contractors that this Lowe's use is spot on good. The Issue is with their Customer Service, but the manager blames their "Phone System". Over the last 2 years I have been doing a lot of home improvements, thank you Covid. I am the type of shopper who does not like to waste time. Find the item, go get the item, buy the item. I do not like browsing... Because of my dealings with this stores manager I have kept a log with my interaction with this store and in over 20 calls to this store their customer service has: - Hung up on me 6 times - Directed me to the wrong department 18 times - Re-Directed me to the requested department 12 times - Placed me in Hold/Waiting Hell (Every Call for various time spans) Average call time wasted 14 min before getting some help. Many of the staff apologized for the phones AND customer staff. If you know what you need, and they have it Lowes is the place to go. If you need over the phone help from customer service or their management staff. I would rate this store -10. read more

Had the absolute worst experience in customer service tonight when buying a Christmas tree. I was told there was no one to trim my tree AND that they aren't sure they even did that. I informed her that yes they do that and they literally have an entire station to dedicatedto it. She proceeded to ask another manager who then literally just WALKED AWAY. I went out to get my receipt to get a refund and there was Corey. Corey is some young kid that works there that was told to just go cut our tree WITH A CHAINSAW WITH NO TRAINING. Corey deserves a raise and real training. He deserves the pay of your managers that walk away from their customers because they are worthless. read more

The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I went to the paint counter and simply asked if they were able to color match a different brand of paint - just asked. The employee proceeded to talk down to me, rolled his eyes and kept shrugging with every word as if to say "are you kidding me?" So I replied "Not a problem, I just figured I would ask". He gave me another rude, long winded response so I finally said "I got it - thank you". He gave me a sarcastic "you're welcome". I was completely shocked that someone would respond so rudely to a question. To top off the visit, I was using a gift card at self checkout and an employee needs to confirm the gift card and pin...not a problem. I waited and waited and multiple people walked by as my checkout light was red with no help offered and no one stopping as I said "Excuse me". Finally a man stopped and said curtly "do you need something?". I told him that I had a gift card and he acted completely annoyed, hit the buttons aggressively and then said "There. There you go" and walked off. Lowe's is closer to me but I will drive farther now to go to Home Depot, where I have always been treated with respect. Stay away!! read more

I will think twice before buying an appliance from Lowes again. I bought a new Samsung oven, Samsung dishwasher, and Samsung refrigerator. The first dishwasher broke after the first year and after much delay, they gave me a new one. This new dishwasher hasn't worked in 2 1/2 months. I opened a warrantee claim when it first quit working. The first company they sent closed out the claim before it was fixed. I called the warrantee department again and they scheduled another appointment with another company. Nobody came or called on the appointment date so I called the warrantee department again. They told me that I should've called the repair services to coordinate even though they were the ones who set the appointment. Unsatisfied with this answer, I asked to speak to a supervisor. After being on hold for over 15 min I spoke to a "supervisor" who kept putting me on hold for 10-15 min to pull up my information. She did this a few times and at the end did nothing but report to the escalation team. I felt like I was punished for asking for a supervisor. The total call time for the last warrantee call 1 hr 5 min. **A few weeks later and my dishwasher still doesn't work. Called Lowes for service and they said someone would be contacting me within 24 hours. 3 days and 3 calls to the service provider later without a call back and nothing. I called Lowes again to file a complaint. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got Dillon. Dillon said that he canceled the service provider and he was doing a "buy out". I didn't approve but he said it's too late. He's told me they were going to give me my money back minus the warrantee and delivery cost. I objected again and asked to escalate above him. He said he'd inform his supervisor. I asked for a phone call from them and Dillon blew me off. This is just the worst! In the last 3 years, I've given Lowes over $10K in business. I liked Lowes because I'm a veteran and enjoy the veteran's discount but this is next level disrespect! **And now my Samsung refrigerator is broken. Called the warrantee place. Was emailed shortly after telling me that they couldn't find someone to repair it and that I had to find someone myself. read more

I went into Lowe's to talk about a kitchen remodel in April of 2022. My wife and I talked to a designer and after a few visits we decided on a plan. I paid for the remodel on the 24th of April 2022 and the guy told me we should have cabinets by the 4th of July. I started receiving cabinets the later part of May. Since I didn't get them all I emailed my designer and found out he no longer worked at Lowe's. So I made it a point to go into the store and talk to another designer to see what needed to be done. After talking to this guy I almost called the project off. He was a condescending patronizing jerk. So I left and went back a few days later and visited with another guy working there. He was somewhat arrogant but at least I could talk to him. He didn't seem too interested since the the guy who quit got the credit for the sale. He got the freight company to do a dock search to no avail. Mind you this is all taking weeks to take care of. Finally, in July I got a call from the freight company that they found my cabinets and scheduled a drop off time towards the middle of July. Two days later I get an email from the cabinet company about another delivery with a phone number attached. I call them and asked what the delivery was. The guy at Lowe's reordered the cabinets I didn't get so this was them. I told the cabinet manufacturer that my cabinets had been found so I didn't need the reorder. He told me they had not been contacted about the lost ones being found but would stop the manufacture on the reorder. The installer finally scheduled to come on the 15th of August to do the install. There were two cabinets that were the wrong size. Both ordered the wrong size. After the install on what they could install I contacted the store again about the wrong cabinets and the guy told me he would take care of it. so He ordered them again. The first one to come in went to the store so I picked it up and installed it myself so we could get the backsplash people in to do the backsplash. The second one came to my house and it was the wrong size again. I called the store and he told me he would get it ordered again. He sent me an email that he had ordered it and then two or three days later sent me another email saying he had talked to the sales rep about this and found out how to order the right size, which led me to believe he really hadn't ordered it when he said he did. I waited about a month and heard nothing, so I decided to call the cabinet manufacturer myself since I had the number, only to find out the sales rep had cancelled the order because he knew it was not the right size but failed to order the right size. So another month had passed. I finally got an email from the store saying my cabinet would be here on the 27th of December. I called the store on that day and guess what? It was there. I called the installer and so did the store and low and behold I finally got my final cabinet installed January 3rd 2023! I do not have one complaint with the installers on the cabinets, backsplash, nor the countertops. However, I don't think it should have taken eight and a half months for this project when it wasn't a supply issue. I have not asked for any compensation on anything, including the cabinet I installed myself so we could get the backsplash installed. I left out a lot of other details because I knew this was going to be a long review. The store I used was the Olathe Kansas store and I would NOT RECOMMEND using this store. I'm not sure if it's the day or the air or what, but the lady behind the paint counter was rude and acted like it was an inconvenience to help me find the paint color I wanted. I had gotten a sample from a different location and this location didn't have the sample. I had the lady look it up by the number and name and she said very rudely, that it's not in the system. Once I said I was going to go to a different location, her mood changed instantly and she said she could find it...she did in about two seconds. Attitude was not necessary. Went to go check out, only one register open so went to self checkout. Scanned the top of the paint can and a DIFFERENT lady working self check yelled at us for scanning the wrong barcode. Lesson learned, go out of your way to a different location where the employees are nicer and willing to help you without making you feel less than. read more

Do not have anyone from lowes install anything, they totally botched a refrig install, subcontractors they hire are incompetant. Could not hook up a water line, had to fix myself, also had two ceiling fans installed fans came with a balance kit, contractor said you cant turn it on high because it wobbles too much. Say what? The fan is high so thats why I paid for the install. They just shrug and leave. Worthless. You call the store and after being on hold for an eternity, some supposed manager just offers up excuses. Lesson learned you lost my business even if I need a screw. The metal kind. read more

Got a new washer and dryer from this Lowe's. Dryer was installed great, but when they came to put in the washer the crew refused to remove the old washer from the pedestal and put the new washer on the pedestal - even after we explained we PAID for this service and the crew that put in the dryer had no problem doing this for us. Effectively, they stole our washer pedestal. So now I've got to go there and track down the delivery manager - good luck if you call them, they never answer. read more

If you're thinking about getting flooring done by this store, go somewhere else. I had a substantial wood flooring install done a while back, scheduled in December, work to be done in mid January. Mid-January rolls around, material is delivered, installation proceeds. The day the installation was completed, i noticed some issues walking around, and called customer service. I was told the installation quality rep would have to come out to inspect, and he was a month out. A month later, the installation quality rep comes out, says yes there are a few issues, and he will send out a crew to address the issues. The crew arrives 2 weeks later, takes a look at the issues, and comes to the conclusion that it can't be fixed, and instead will need to be completely torn out and re-done. So after another month, new material gets delivered (however they balked at delivering inside the home due to a change in the company making deliveries), a different crew arrives to remove the old material and install the new, they get everything removed, and about 1 room into the install and determine the material is bad, rotted planks, holes, snapped/broken tongues and grooves, and they stop installing. while removing the old flooring, they also scratched/gouged all the baseboards and some of the walls. I speak with customer service again, they get new material ordered, and it's another month until this can be done. Meanwhile, I'm left with 2 bedrooms/closets and a hall with plywood flooring and staples all over, I asked customer service what can be done in terms of temporary flooring so these rooms can be used and not hazardous in the meantime, and after a week of back-and-forth they finally agree and put down some temporary carpet. 3rd crew arrives finally, in June, to complete the installation, this is a completely different company, and I'm told by the crew they generally get hired to fix Lowe's screw-ups. This installation goes fine, all is good. Now I get down to the issue of my damaged baseboards and walls, and the fact this installation that should have been 2 weeks to a month has stretched out into 7 months, and weeks at a time with our bedrooms being completely unusable. I speak with customer service and the store manager, send copious documentation, photos, etc., and am told the best they can do is 10% off. This doesn't even cover the baseboard repairs and refinishing, let alone the wall painting or discomfort and hotel stays, but they don't budge. I finally speak with the installation manager, and he tells me they won't offer anything else, take it or leave it. At this point, I started trying to contact Lowe's corporate customer service, and after half a dozen attempts through calls and email, all I get are canned responses, "we'll get back to you", and never anything further. just now-Edit I am torn about this Lowe's location. We have had several bad experiences but have also had positive experiences. Last year, we ordered two Pella storm doors with venetian blinds for the back side of the house. Our information wasn't put in their system correctly, wrong doors were put in the system and ordered, pertinent information was not added to the order (e.g. door handles and locks), door were delivered incorrectly (tried to deliver one door to the house when the installer was supposed to pick it up), and scheduling was a mess. For example, they continued to try to schedule us when we had already been contacted and scheduled an appointment. The department seems vastly disorganized. And, when we initially came in the store to look at doors, it took over 30 minutes for an employee to show up in the department. The transaction went so poorly that I needed to file a BBB report. The executive team was apologetic and sent us a $100 gift card for all the problems. We thought the installation went well, but we found out otherwise recently. The rep from Lowes that came to measure and the installer failed to properly notify us of wood rot that was around the brick mould at the bottom of the door. It was mild, we didn't see it, but it should have been noticeable to the installer. He installed anyway and worsened the problem due to drilling into the area. It caused this area to worsen and caused water to intrude on the inner frame. We now are replacing the brick mould with PVC vinyl and patching the bottom of the frame with new wood. The door has to be removed in order to completed the work. Out lowest quote so far has been $250. It would have been easier to replace the brick mould at the time and then install the door. I've needed to contact the executive team about this problem as well. I am waiting to hear back from them. A few years prior, we purchased a Pella storm door for the front of the house. We got the door home because they had it in stock only to find out they gave us the wrong glass. We went back to the store to return the glass only to find out they never charged us for the glass in the first place (upgraded glass). Again, they had entered the information incorrectly in their system. When we call the store, we either get left on hold for too long or associates completely forget about someone waiting on the phone. The last time this happened, I had called to see if I could get back receipts associated with my credit card number. A manager handled my inquiry but never came back to the phone. I waited for 20 minutes. A member of the executive team ended up getting me my requested receipts. I have also had problems with their 800 number. Wait times are terrible, disconnection rates are high, and when talking to a representative, I have not found the employee to be knowledgeable or helpful. I will say they are good about price matching. Regardless of the problems with Lowes, they are still far better, in my opinion, than Home Depot. We also recently purchased two new Toto Drake toilets and were happy with the purchases, but we also used our own plumber. Because of prior experiences, we opted not to use a Lowe's Contractor. read more

I ordered Pella window and sliding glass patio door in July. I understand back orders and shortage of help but their communication was horrible. I am still waiting to hear about installing even though I was promised October. I paid for them over 3 months ago but still waiting. I was told many different "stories" about delivery, installation...etc. Just be aware when you purchase through Lowes, you may get a better price but they make it up by poor customer service. read more

My bad experience was with the delivery drivers. I ordered a new black range with haul away of the old. The delivery man came in and saw the old black range. I stated that the old one was ugly and I wanted to treat myself to something new. He said "so this one works just fine but it's ugly?" and chuckled. He leaves and comes in with another person and tells him "So she is getting rid of this one that works because it is ugly.". Other man says "It works but it's ugly?" and they both laugh. Other man says to me "You know you got another black oven, right?" and laughs. I could feel the condescension. You know.... I don't need them judging me or my decisions or my choices. Maybe they don't know that this is the first new appliance I have ever purchased and I was excited. Maybe they don't know that the house I just moved into was a hoarding situation and I don't want the old ugly range because I don't know what has been in it. Maybe the new black one was all I could afford and I was laughed at because I didn't get stainless steel? Maybe it seems like a silly thing to write a review about but they took an exciting moment for me and shit on it. The two stars are for the ease of ordering and speed of delivery from the Lowe's company. read more

This is the worst Lowe's I have ever been to. A worker took a hit on his vape right in front of us under a minute after we entered. Next, all of their lumber and screws are totally disorganized so we had to look for about 20 minutes to find those. Then, the vaping employee kicked us out of an isle to let the forklift in. After that we took UNDER TWO MINUTES to get some screws, and when we came back, the vape employee put all of our wood back on the shelf that took 20 minutes to find then another 20 minutes to pick out the straitest boards then another 15 minutes for him to put the boards back on our cart. After that, when we got to the register it charged $10000 for some "Lowe's government payout" thing. Which to the cashier said "the scary part is that I don't even know what I pressed?"!!!!! My first trip to a Lowe's came at 5:15pm on Christmas Eve after our furnace went out 3 days after moving in to our new house. Fun, huh? We needed a termocouple, and the gentleman (Doug, I think?) we found was friendly and took us there right away. Success! In the subsequent days, I went back a few times thinking I liked Lowe's more than Home Depot. However, after that first great experience with Doug, it all sort of went down hill. It has been impossible to find people to help me. At HD, people are roaming the halls and easy to find. They know what you need, and exactly where it is. At Lowe's, good luck finding someone easily...and if you do, make sure you are getting the right thing. Because, I didn't get the right thing from a guy who seemed sure it was the right thing. And the only reason I found that guy is because I went to customer service asking for someone in electrical, after searching myself for over five minutes. And even though, I had to wait several minutes after the store-wide page for someone from electrical to help. OK, sorry, rant over. Basically, I learned that I prefer Home Depot. And since both are equidistant from the house, I really have no reason to go to Lowe's...unless it's 5:15pm on Christmas Eve, and HD closes at 5pm while Lowe's is open until 6pm ;) read more
