    The Good Closer to home than the box stores, and the stores…read morethemselves are easier to shop than the stadium-size retailers. Pretty good selection of the stuff I typically buy here-- nuts, bolts, screws, etc., stuff for DIY projects. This store always has someone nearby, ready and willing to help. One guy not only found exactly the fasteners I needed but bagged and labeled them for cost. That was very convenient. If you join their rewards program, twice a month you'll get a coupon for $5 off purchase of $25 (exclusions apply, such as items already on sale) Now and then they have good sales on stuff I might care to buy. The Bad The prices are typically higher than other retailers. So, even if you use the Rewards coupon, you're probably only breaking even as compared to shopping Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's. Sigh. Customet service can be hit and miss. The folks out on the floor are great in being quick to offer help, but they may lack knowledge. The person running the cash register may not interrupt their visiting with another employee to give you more than a glance. Bottom line: it's worth it to pay Ace extra for convenience on small stuff, and I'm not reluctant to shop there due to any serious complaints about customer service. But if I need a bunch of hardware or I need moderately expensive tools that aren't on sale here, I'm probably shopping elsewhere.

Due to an unexpected medical leave situation involving our office staff, we were unable to make the appointment as originally planned. We fully understand the inconvenience that scheduling changes can cause and would have gladly worked toward rescheduling the appointment professionally. Instead, the communication that followed was unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional. Rather than attempting to resolve the situation respectfully, the interaction quickly became hostile despite the circumstances being related to an unforeseen medical issue. As a contractor, we regularly provide free estimates that require scheduling, travel time, project review, and planning before any agreement or compensation takes place. Emergencies and unexpected situations can happen in any business, and professional communication and understanding should exist on both sides. There were also concerns regarding expectations surrounding project costs and contractor responsibilities that suggested a difficult working relationship moving forward. For other contractors and service professionals, I would strongly recommend clearly establishing expectations, communication procedures, and boundaries early before investing substantial time into the project process. We wish them the best moving forward.

After receiving four quotes, we chose them based on a recommendation and initial confidence during our consultation. Unfortunately, our experience quickly became disappointing. We met in February and scheduled a start date of March 11. We were told someone would contact us the week prior to confirm paint colors, but we never received a call and had to follow up ourselves. On day one, the foreman did a walkthrough and said they would start upstairs. Only minimal prep work was completed on two bedrooms before the crew left early, promising to return the next morning. Day two was even more concerning. Only one worker showed up, the foreman was absent, and prep work was still incomplete by midday. We also observed workers frequently leaving to vape. I will say the project manager was responsive and communicative when I reached out, and did try to address concerns. That evening, a serious incident occurred. We were alerted via our Ring camera that there was an issue involving the crew and our neighbors. When I called the foreman, he stated they were disposing of paint by digging a hole and burying it on the property. Given how close our homes are, this understandably upset our neighbors. The situation escalated into a confrontation, resulting in police being called, and the crew was told to leave. When we returned home, prep work was still unfinished, no painting had been completed, and there was trash left behind. A new crew arrived on day three and completed the job in a single day, which highlighted how inefficient the previous crew had been. However, communication remained poor at the management level. I attempted multiple times to reach a supervisor but never received a callback before the weekend. While we were eventually offered compensation, it was not proactively handled. I had to follow up myself to address and correct the compensation, which added to the frustration and made it feel like resolving the issue was not a priority. Due to managing our children and my husband working a 48-hour shift, I couldn't fully inspect everything immediately. After noticing additional incomplete work, I reached out again and received no response. We've hired many service providers over the years and have never experienced anything like this. This project caused unnecessary delays in selling our home and added significant stress. Given the cost and importance of this work, we expected far better professionalism, communication, and accountability.

    This company is very unprofessional! Had my entire interior painted and was told they would start…read moreon 4/5/2021. I had to make a call that morning to find out if they were coming. Daniel called me back to inform me t hat he is sending a crew out shortly. The original crew called in sick. Shortly after the call the painter text me to tell me that he would be here about noon. Painter (Julian) showed up at about 12:30 and ask what we were doing. I was shocked.... I told him the entire house was to painted, walls ceilings, trim, doors, closets, etc. He ask me if I had the paint. My response was "are you kidding me! The amount of money that I am paying, I better not be supplying the paint." I had to give him the paint samples that I purchased for him to go order the paint. Keep in mind that I gave all this information to Jesse Chavez on 3/31/2021. Julian was leaving to going order paint and get supplies and I ask him why you would be back, he said he didn't know how long it would take to get the paint so he would be back tomorrow. When asked, Julian told me he would be here at 9AM tomorrow morning. My understanding from Jesse that the most time consuming part of painting is the prep so I am confused as to why they couldn't order the paint and come back to start prep. Jesse finally called my back about 5pm and I informed him of what happened. He agreed that this was not right and very unprofessional. Ask me to contact him in the morning if Julian did not show up by 9AM. Day 2: I got a text from Julian @7:49 that he is at the paint store and they are making the paint and would let me know when he was on his way. Made the call to Jesse and informed him that this is very unacceptable. Al he could do is agree with me. I ask him to explain how this happened and he had no answers. The only reason i have not pulled out from this job at this point is that everything in my house had been removed and if i started over again, it would mean us moving everything back in and out again in a few weeks when another painter could get to the job. Really wish I had done that now! I gave Jesse a not so nice piece of my mine. At this point I am extremely upset. Its after 10 and still no work being done. I told Jesse that if he could not give me an answer the all my questions to have the owner of the company call me to explain why this happened. Jesse told me he would have Daniel call and talk to he. Need less to say, Daniel has yet to call me. He is a man with no balls and very unprofessional. When Julian completed the job i ask him if Daniel or Jesse was to come out and inspect the work he said no that he was to collect the check for the balance owed. I informed his that he would not be taking the check with him. Julian did an ok job but I don't think the job was worth the money. They are not very consistent. They removed all the outlet and switch plates but left the blank plates and 3 of the 4 coax cable plates and painted over them. Also had a wooden coat hanger with hooks in the closet that they painted over. Found many areas that I will have to touch up and they left a very big mess in my front yard where they took the covering out and dropped paint from them. He also left a big mess where he cleaned the paint in the from yard in my rocks and many drops of paint in my entry way/porch. I simply would think twice before hiring this company to paint anything! I would rate them a no stars if it was an option. Extremely unprofessional!!!

After having this company in my home 8 days to paint interior I was brought to tears to see my new $20k flooring was damaged/stained in many areas of my home. The cabinets they were suppose to "refinish" look absolutely horrible and now ruined. All of my electrical outlets/switches were painted while still on the wall (I now have to have electrician out to replace all ~ more expense) and there are drips of paint throughout my home. Anyone walking into my home is shocked at such a horrible sloppy job that was done. It's truly unbelievable. I just hope I save someone else from suffering loss and shoddy workmanship.
