Worst customer service. The tall African American fellow that "helped" me at the counter at 4pm on 3/23 was absolutely useless. Brought in a photo of the house paint I've bought here before and he goes, "oh, we don't have that anymore." I asked him if he knew where I could find it then or if he had anything close to it. He then proceeded to feed me the same line, "We don't have that anymore." No recommendation for a substitution, didn't ask if he could help me find an alternative, nothing. I guess you guys don't care about making money anymore so I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I have been coming to this location multiple times because my work is close by. They were charging me $14 for a sample book which we should have been free. They told me that I need to go to my home store to get a free book. I called my home store and they told me that they should not have told me that and they should've given me the free chart book. This location is ridiculous and I refuse to give them any more business. Buyers beware they are unfair with loyal customers, and I've been a customer for over 10 years! I stood on the line awaiting service for 10 minutes an Not one employee in the store even acknowledged me. Two of them were engaged in a conversation and the other was watching the paint machine mix paint. Just a simple greeting would have been nice. I will go tobthe location on Mason they at least acknowledged your presence. read more

After reading the negative reviews I was worried about shopping this location. But this is the location my home builder sent me to in order to purchase touch up paint for my 2.5 year old home (my local SW store doesn't care the exact paint type that the contractor used). I can't believe how far customer service has fallen with this establishment. Multiple visits while picking paint colors with the wife. The sales rep/counter agent, had little to no experience or knowledge of his job. Nor did he offer suggestions during our engagement. All the while I felt that there was more to the interaction. I felt as if I was speaking to a child because I had to literally talk through every step just to understand my options. I spent over $500 in paint and primer so it's not as if I'm trying to hoard anyone's time for a gallon of paint. The look of disgust on this person's face while having to speak to me is why I feel there's more to it. read more

Everytime we go we get great service. It's a paint store so you kinda have to wait while paint is mixed and ready and then they move on to the next customer just like Lowe's and Home Depot. Anyways been going to this store over the past 7 years and only once or twice where it gets super busy and your in there for a while. read more

I've had paint mixed here quite a few times, this location is much more helpful and knowledgeable IMO than the other Katy location. Top tier Sherwin paints are the best I've used inside and out, however they are grossly overpriced IMO.. I will not pay sticker price for a Sherwin product and try to buy when they run their 30% off sales. Sign up on their site and you'll get notifications of when that is.. If you're new to painting and just want something to toss up, try the higher level paints at the big box stores, they're better performers than the low and mid level Sherwin products and are better priced all year around.. However, If you want a great performer and easy application the top tier Sherwin paints IMO can't be beat.. Also, buying in 5 gallon will save you a few extra dollars per gallon over buying a single can.. read more

If you don't care about public health and safety then you will feel right at home. If you do, then this is not the store for you. This store has decided to disregard science and not require customers to wear a mask inside their small store. I understand the governor lifted the statewide mask mandate, but this is my first experience of a store that actually made the choice to disregard the well-being of their customers. I entered the store and the manager was extremely rude to me after an employee suggested I wear a mask. The manager told me to follow him and I complied. For whatever reason he had me stand in some warehouse area and threatened to call the cops for trespassing after demanding I stand there, so I left as he tried to block the doorway saying the police are on their way. Arrived today in an attempt to locate some samples for an area in which I needed a soft gray. John was very informative about how they list and display their paint colors. Everyone there was polite, informative, and eager to help. For those people complaining about the price, you get what you pay for. Many other paint brands are watered down. Sherwin Williams gives you more of the product compared to others. Besides, no one is forcing you to buy their paint ... So if you want a cheaper product ... I would suggest you go somewhere else. For those people complaining about lines, purchasing paint is not like going to the drive-through for fast food. Sherwin-Williams is a very popular durable product ... popular with professionals as well as residential customers. Always always always a line at this location. I usually go in the morning but most of the time I go there's a line. I understand a lot of people go in the morning as well but just seems like they take their time and don't try to hurry up and get everyone checked out. They ether need more employees or more registers or maybe even one register that just handles small things and nothing that has to do with getting paint but just materials. read more

I went to the store at 99 & Kingsland. There were no other customers in the store and the two employees were chatting with each other and acted like they didn't see me. Finally I asked, "Can I buy some paint?" The one employee walked away and the other one said, "I'm mixing some paint right now." I decided to leave and go to another location on Mason Rd and got prompt attention and great service read more

I would write a NEGATIVE star if I could - I have been a Sherwin loyalist for a decade plus. We just moved to Katy and when I visited this store they were all acting like they were too busy to help. When a new salesperson was helping me and didnt know how to use the register everyone just stood around hanging out instead of helping. I just felt like no one wanted to help and then when there was an issue with a coupon one of the employees was beyond rude to me and spoke to me like no one ever has... the manager just sat in his office despite being called out twice. When he was finally out he had a sense of arrogance and a condescending tone along with the hormonal high school jock working there who thought he was too cool to be nice. All in all i wasted over an hour at the store and then left frustrated and told them I am taking my business elsewhere and will spend my hard earned money where I get better customer service even if it costs more. I will never shop at Sherwin Williams ever again and neither will my family and frineds. read more
