Unfortunately, this particular store doesn't carry the samples I wanted. I was looking for the large sample sheets with adhesive backing to put on the wall. I was told others stores carry them, so I will have to make another trip. My time was not wasted, though. I was able to get some good color ideas with the small swatches. We find this to be a pretty good mid-price paint store that is located to the west of town, and it does the job, and you can usually find whatever you need. Service is pretty nice here and I guess every little area of Houston needs a paint store, and even though this is a big corporate one, it will get the job done and has friendly service. We came here specifically because our friend was opening a second location of his bar (best Pub ever) in the neighbourhood and needed some supplies. We helped him grab the stuff and slather it on the walls, and they're doing very well now, so thanks to Sherwin-Williams for being here and being convenient.

I got to the front to check out and with all 4 associates in the store (that I could see) no one made eye contact, no one took a moment to say welcome in or we will be right with you, nothing. Terrible customer service. While waiting in line, I had to listen to blaring Tejano music. Not everyone likes that kind of music, so it is very rude and unprofessional to have it so loud. That belongs in a warehouse, not in the ears of your customers. I spent 17 minutes in line for 4 samples. I got what I needed, but I was completely turned off by the lack of care for customers. The customer service at SW has gone downhill. It has become a norm for customers to wait 10+…read moreminutes to check out when there's no line at the checkout counter because they are mixing paint or locating inventory for an order. But it does not excuse the staff from NOT acknowledging the customer. I'm calling out Amber for providing the worst customer service of the day. This morning, I stopped by for some paint supplies and got in line at the checkout counter; I was next after the customer Amber was ringing up. When she was done ringing up the customer, she closed the drawer and walked away to the back counter. She did not acknowledge I was there nor let me know someone would be right with me. She stood around for 4-5 minutes doing nothing. Another staff member came from the back, and she told him to go see what I wanted. I came back a few hours later for additional supplies, and the same thing happened again with Amber. She didn't acknowledge me OR the other customers waiting. This time, a customer had to tell her and the other staff member to ring me up since I've been waiting for a while. I thanked the other customer for training the SW staff. I am reconsidering if I should continue shopping at SW. Most of SW stores short staff but at least they still understand customer service unlike this location.

She can spend so much time and money in this store, especially if they have stuff for the cats, and this location usually does. They're massive and well stocked, and somewhat well organized, unlike most locations.
