12.27.22 Today experience in Floor & Decor left me wondering if I would be returning. (I am pretty position I will not be purchasing anything from them now) If you are a store that sells only one product (i.e. flooring) please hire people with some knowledge in it. When I shop somewhere and ask an employee a question; I don't want to hear, "Maybe" or "I think that MIGHT work". If I'm going to spend our hard earned money, I must feel the employees know what they are talking about and not feeding BS. I did NOT get the feeling from talking to 3 different employees that they had ANY knowledge in the products they sell. I understand it is hard to find good help these days but please, don't just hire someone to just fill the position. Hire people with knowledge OR offer training classes for them to get this knowledge. The 3 employees I talked to day need the training ASAP. read more

We got out tile and vinyl flooring here and recently when we went, our cashier Patrick was so helpful and cheerful. The asst manager, I believe, Juan was also very helpful loading flooring into our suv. Their prices are great and they're open til 7 unlike many other flooring places. read more

This month I had the pleasure of visiting the cypress store on hempstead. I wasn't sure what i was looking for or i even wanted! Lara happily asked if she could help me . She was a huge help. She helped me find products that i didn't even have a clue I needed. But, above and beyond that I was putting flooring in my house and bathrooms and she greatly helped me with design and matching with my house. It's refreshing to be able to come into a store and get outstanding customer service theses days. We went to all the box stores and we found that Floor & Decor had the best selection of vinyl flooring and tile. Plus, knowledgeable people to help with our selections. We purchased vinyl flooring for the whole house, tile for backsplash and shower tile. Everyone we delt with seemed knowledgeable and had excellent customer service. Lara Wright helped us find the perfect Vinyl flooring and even check in with us when several times when picking up materials or buy additional tile. I would also like to recognize Chris, Michael, Josh and Ethan for their friendliness and attention to safety when loading and unloading all the materials. I highly recommend this store. read more

Great selections of tiles, wood flooring, laminates, and other stuff you need, or didn't know you needed for your home remodeling project or a new construction. You can spend hours here just browsing due to the size of the warehouse. When I buy from Floor & Decor, I typically already know what I need and just buy it online for store pick up. However, one day I actually needed to come in because I was trying to find a cheap laminate alternative for a wood floor that was installed in one of my company's projects. So I had my wood floor sample for comparison. During my time here, there were plenty of employees walking around on the floor and I'm sure they saw me walking around with a wood sample on me. However, there was a total of ZERO employees who approached me and asked me if I needed help. The only interaction I had with an employee was because I had to approach him to ask a couple of questions. When I found a couple of laminates that I thought looked similar, I bought samples to show to the homeowners. During check-out, there was a total of two registers that were open for four customers (myself included). The check out process took very long. This isn't your typical grocery store check out after all. I had probably been waiting around 15 minutes waiting for my turn until another customer came to do a return at the return desk. Once that customer was done, I was told to go ahead and do my check out there. If that hadn't been the case, I'd still be stuck behind the customers at the cashiers. TL;DR: Know what you need and then buy online and pick up in store. Otherwise, good luck to you. read more

This is the best F&D in Harris County in my humble opinion. The selection is great and I've gotten better customer service than from the other locations. I've been helped by Elizabeth before, she's very helpful. This last time I needed some help with multiple orders being delivered/picked up ASAP, and Emy Velasquez gave me her personal cell and responded 100% of the time and quickly! Searching for beautiful yet affordable tile for 1st floor- kitchen, laundry room and 2 bathrooms. It's almost overwhelming to see all the choices. I wasn't sure what to expect with free designer assistance, but Susanne Evans impressed me again and again with her ideas and attention to detail while remembering to watch the bottom line. This is the 2nd time she's helped me and I will be returning to her for more design ideas. I can't speak for skill of the other designers, but Susanne definitely knows her products. The customer service is usually nothing to write about, but Christopher Ross was worth me being on Yelp today. This you man with such a servants heart stop what he was doing to assist me with everything I needed for my project. He even loaded my car after I completed my purchase. As busy as my schedule is I just want to say THANK YOU Chris... That one day of great service still have me remembering your name which is not a usual thing for me... We have been in this store so many times for different family members and for our homes. Each time we have found something that we agreed on. My hub's daughters house was destroyed in Harvey. She found everything she needed there for kitchen, baths and flooring. It's perfect. When she moved in some 7 years ago, she picked out tile them as well for the kitchen, but flooring that wasn't water resistant. The flooring in the home we just sold was incredibly beautiful. We had it for about 4 yrs and our home sold in 5 days. We bought a fairly new home, but it has some carpet in it and it's got to go. We went to select something we liked and are going back for it. Great customer service, very helpful in selecting tile or flooring and the displays are stunning. Can't go wrong with pricing here either. read more

Dani is amazing!!! I bought tile and grout yesterday with another associate for pick up today. Had second thoughts overnight so I went into the store to look at grout options. Was feeling a bit lost when Dani walked by and asked if she could help. She took the time to walk me through the choice, how they blended or stood out as a focal point, and grout sizes. All staff were very friendly at this store, as opposed to other store locations! Armando was EXTREMELY helpful with explaining the flooring process and he really took the time to go through each material needed, answering any questions we had along the way. I would definitely come back to this location over any other because of the service we received with Armando. We went to another Floor & Decor location closer to our house, and we were not as pleased with the customer service there. We even called Armando to get his opinion on materials before moving forward with our project. Overall good selection of item. I wouldn't expect too much help but you will find many modern to traditional flooring, stones, etc at moderate prices. Let's start by saying I am not a "shopper" and we needed to pick out tile and flooring for a home in Brenham that we are remodeling. We walked into the Cypress F&D and that selection there was amazing! We identified our flooring within a few minutes but then wanted to pick tile for three bathrooms to tie all of the spaces together. That is where Suzanne Evans, who is one of the design specialists there, stepped in. In under an hour we had picked out everything and we were ready to go. I would gladly return to this store again for any future needs. My only regret - we should have used F&D when we built our last home 7 years ago! read more

I bought and paid for new flooring with the quarter rounds and transitions. They told me that the corresponding transitions and quarter rounds would have to be ordered separately and it would be 2 weeks. That was on Nov 9th... Its now Dec 12 and have not received them. I have been up there twice and called 5 times and they can not provide me with a tracking number or any other update. Did I mention that I paid extra for the"special delivery." I called again today and spoke to Teresa and Azzeza (the manager)? They told me its an issue with the vendor and all they could do is refund my money that would take 7 to 10 days!!! Hope I can get a hold of someone in corporate there is no customer service here just an "oh well you are out of luck" I was told I have to drive back up there to get the refund started. read more

This store doesn't deserve any rating for trashing our tiles. We ordered the last 12 pieces of Lystra Almond 20x20 tile in the country, to replace broken patio tiles from a foundation repair, November 21st, 2020. There are no more available pieces of tile, that we know of, in this country. The tile were ordered from a North Carolina Floor and Decor store. They charged us $47.76 for the tile, and, a heavy shipping fee of $163.70, charging me almost $23 per tile. We needed them, so we paid the fees, and they were shipped. They arrived December 2, about 10 days later, but not to us. The shipping driver stopped at the Cypress Floor & Decor store, before getting to us. After arriving to our address with no shipment, the driver immediately returned to the Cypress Floor & Decor store. Only, to find out they had taken our boxes of tile, and thrown them in the garbage. That should not have happened, since a customer's name was on the shipping labels with a different address. No one paid attention to our shipment that was to a customer's address and not the store. It was also already paid in full. Upon return to the store, the delivery driver called us to tell us the receiving people had already trashed our shipment stating there was a broken tile. The driver was disturbed because there were not any broken tiles when the pallet was removed from his truck. My wife called the store to speak to the general manager, but another manager, Juan took the call. And demanded that the tile needed to be trashed, even though this was not their shipment. Those boxes should have never been removed from the freight truck. My wife tried to contact the GM numerous times, but was given many different stories by another manager. They said, he was in a meeting, in the store somewhere, later he was on lunch, and then he wanted to know who was calling. How come the GM didn't handle this call, we have no idea, especially since this matter was important. My wife kept calling, until the GM finally answered, and said, "Oh my". He was supposed to call me back, but instead another manager, Theresa returned the call, instead of the GM. My wife was very upset, that she said the tile was broken, and they had to trash them. Again, this is not their shipment to trash. Theresa recommended to give us a $100 gift card, but we still have missing tile on our patio. Which could have been prevented, if we had received our shipment. Without the tiles, we will have to replace all the tiles on our whole patio area. Which should have never happened, since Floor and Décor should not have removed our boxes from the truck. They should have been placed back on the truck, since they were a customer's freight, and the driver should have been notified promptly to return to pick up the shipment. Isn't it illegal to take someone's package and throw it away, that is mail fraud? This matter is still unresolved. read more

Moved into my house in June and just now getting around to writing a few reviews. One place I wanted to recommend to anyone building or renovating is Floor & Decor on the NW Fwy in Cypress. The service was great, returns easy and the product is WOW! We were introduced to NuCore Vinyl flooring and we are so happy we were. The flooring looks like an expensive wood floor, feels great and is holding up well to the new puppy. We also bought most of our tile there and are very satisfied. The best part is we were able to purchase samples to help us make design decisions and then return it for a full refund. And we got a lot of samples, believe me. Service was so good, I talked my friend into putting F&D NuCore in his back room. read more

What a nice experience we had with help from Isaac. He was very knowledgeable regarding the vinyl plank flooring which we wound up purchasing. We were in near closing time and he patiently guided us through the entire experience, from choosing what type of flooring we wanted all the way through checkout and he even loaded it into our car. It's not that common to have exceptional customer service anymore...so whenever I see it, I definitely comment on it and appreciate it. Floor and Decor needs to keep Isaac around. In the continuation of building up the 290 Cypress area the newest addition to the area FAD... My first stop in looking for flooring to get some ideas of what direction I want to go... Large selection and price points in real wood, bamboo, faux wood, tile look like wood flooring.... I was most impressive with the bamboo flooring... They had samples you could take of the flooring so you could do your matching... Unfortunately they did not have a sample of the one I liked... The sales man was very knowledgeable and helpful in educating me on the pro and cons of the different types of flooring... The store was well organized and plenty of sales people that where ready and willing to help... I will continue to compare price points and products... I would diffently suggest exploring Floor and Decor for your upgrade, building or remodeling needs... read more
