She can spend so much time and money in this store, especially if they have stuff for the cats, and this location usually does. As other Yelpers mentioned, this is probably the most organized, well-kept HomeGoods in Houston. I don't know if that's because it doesn't attract as many shoppers who make a mess of all the inventory or that the staff really keeps a tidy ship, but I like what I see. It's a lot smaller than the HG I normally go to off West Gray in River Oaks, but if I can peacefully shop with little to no shoppers in my way, it's time well spent! Friendly staff too. This was the first time that I have ever shopped in home goods. The woodlands location has always been so slow the line was backed up to the back up the store so I was like never again. Until yesterday I was by myself and I was looking for Halloween items which I am very sad they didn't have any. I have seen so many people with their great finds and they didn't have anything. But I did buy my husband a Libra mug and a mug for myself which says hot mess which lmao I am I guess. Lol own that ish. Anyways bought a piggy bank as well for my daughter. I liked all of the wall art which was Reasonably priced. The store was A little bit of a wreck inside where the housewares were but it was OK I enjoyed the store and I will be back in a week or two to see if Halloween is out because my sister-in-law says that the store is actually really nice and also I did love the couches that were in there and the tables wish I wish I needed a couch because they had a really nice one in there but I didn't like the fact that they didn't have many carts I got the last one. read more

This HomeGoods is probably the most well organized one out of the ones in Houston. It could be that it isn't as crowded or busy as the West Gray or I-10/Bunker Hill location? Regardless, I still love browsing through their random products and am always finding a ton of dog items to auction off for our dog rescue. HomeGoods is a designated store for the home portion of Marshalls. Normally, in Marshall stores, there are a few aisle for home goods/furniture, but here we have a whole store dedicated. I always find myself very nervous around Marshalls, because I know for a fact that I will end up spending much more than I need to. They usually have some item that tempts you to purchase it, even though you know you not may need it. Its the 'WANT' syndrome that takes over every time and seeing a whole store at my disposal was quite the challenge. I just recently moved and needed plenty of kitchen gadgets, bathroom accessories, bedding, linen, furniture and then some. I literally spent a few hours, and my cart was overflowing with items. I was finding myself wrestling, trying to push the cart. Needless to say, I found pretty much all the items that I was looking for and at a very economical price. Some of the items that were on my agenda were: plates, silverware, knives, bowls, potato peeler, apple core, blender, grinder, toaster, waste paper basket, bathroom rugs, shower curtain, linen, soap dispenser, tumbler, towels, table cover, can opener, sheets, comforters, mattress cover, lamps, pans, pots, frying pan, glasses and the list keeps going. The one thing they can improve on is level of speed at checkout counters. I feel like the lines are always long at checkout and there are not enough cashiers to expedite the checkout lanes. This seems to be an ongoing saga at most of their locations. They have this flashing number designated to direct guests to the appropriate check out counter. Other than that, all is good. read more

You need to be very careful what you buy here. It seems that everything that I have bought ends up broken within a few months. Can opener? Broken. Strainer? Handle breaks off. Soap dispenser? Stops pumping soap. Peeler? The blade breaks off. The list goes on. The place mats I mentioned in my previous review? Yeah the material broke down and became stuck on my wooden table. I had to scrape bits of stuck place mat plastic off my new table. And I don't even use the table!!! Everything I can remember I bought from here ends up in the trash. Its so bad that I actually updated my review over this to warn people to be careful. If its something that can break, it will break. If it can stain or damage something, it very likely will. I love to shop I'm going to all local stores to purchase Decour for my design company however this location has the worst customer service and sales team I've come across the manager completely rude sales associates act like doing their job it's putting them out and heaven for bid if something doesn't have a tag on it and someone actually has to punch in the number rather than scan the barcode first time I went I promised myself I wouldn't go back after being treated the way that I was well I went back anyway- and after today I can assure you my time and money will no longer Go to a location where I'm made to feel that my business is just one more problem. read more

Oh god, I love this place. I really can't wait to go back. You may say, if you love it so much why don't you marry it? Well it hasn't proposed yet since we've only met once, but if asked, I would accept. :) Regular Marshall's stores are awesome when there are a few isles of home goods and furniture, but this is a WHOLE STORE dedicated to the home portion of Marshall's. I've been to the locations on I-10 at Bunker HIll and the one on West Gray where its about half clothing, half home goods, and this locations blows both of those out of the water. I can't rate the service here, because I don't care too much about service in places like this, because I don't really need any service other than to ring me up. I was most impressed with the prices on painted pottery and garden decor. They had HUGE glass pots, usually $30 or more, for $12.99 or $14.99. The next most impressive section was the lamps/lighting. You don't expect a place like this to have the lamps lined up nicely and lit up like a showroom, but they were! The selection wasn't giant, but it was large, and if I was in the market for a lamp, I would come here first to see if I could get a great deal. My next favorite section was the art. Though nothing original or custom will be found here, you will find many nice, contemporary reproduction pieces like those you'll find in Pier 1 or World Market. This store also had an excellent selection of furniture and kitchen ware. If you enjoy making your home look pretty, come here. I'd be surprised if you don't find something you can't pass up. read more

I really like this location! They have everything you need for a one time house shopping/decor. They have so many things to choose from and so many nice neutral colors/designs. I always get something for my room or house when I stop in. I can always find the right things that will match the theme of my room. I also come here to shop for my dog as well. They have dog clothes, beds, treats, and storage. Everything is so cute! You never know what you'll find. I can't wait to do some more house decorating. read more

This is basically a closeout store similar to Marshalls, but it is more geared towards items for the home. I usually come here just to buy a bunch of luxury soaps at about half the price, but on this trip I also picked up some nice candles (with designer names attached) to use as Christmas gifts, a few pieces of "art" to hang on our walls, a couple of nice picture frames (also to use as Xmas gifts), dog toys, and down-filled decorative pillows for our couch - all for a little over $100. And if you are a pet lover, there are a ton of the nicer overstuffed pet beds (size Med-Large) for cheaper than you'll find them at the pet store next door, bowls, food storage, and even treats. read more

Like any discount store Home Goods is usually hit or miss. I found some great deals on Pet supplies (Nicole Miller bowls, bed and toys) for my Pug. The prices were so much more reasonable than next door at Pet Smart. Not to mention so much cuter! A few weeks ago I bought a drink dispenser for a party I was having and had to return it because the spout was broken. That was annoying (especially during the Holiday season) but it's the kind of thing I expect to happen every now and then when you're getting a deal. read more

This store is located in my neighborhood, so it's needless to say that I go there at least 4 times a month or more. I've never received bad service there until tonight. An associate ran out of the store and asked to check the merchandise I JUST purchased because their sensors went off as we were leaving. I had no problem with that until she asked me to present my receipt. Minutes before I had actually purchased 2 rolls of wrapping paper and a washing cloth on sale. I instantly knew she was profiling me and accusing me of stealing product because there was no way the cashier I checked out with was incompetent where she did not take off a tag on the wash cloth. By her running out to the street, she caused other customers to turn and stare and made me feel humiliated for implying that I had been stealing. I will be calling their coorperate number and filing a complaint. read more

Shame on management! There was a man following me through out the store, made me very uneasy. I had a bad gut feeling about this guy it never failed which aisle I was on he went and would pick up random items and when I wasn't looking I could feel him staring st me. I went to check out and I was going to tell the cashier to have someone escort me out of the building. And when the man saw me telling the worker he bolted out the door and the cashier said I should've said something sooner and there is nothing he could do. I was there maybe 10 minutes if that. I seen the man turn around walk into ulta and then shortly walked out hands free again. I seen him walk to his car where he waited. I am upset that the manager would not even escort me out the building. He said if it's outside the building it's not their problem. Smh! I had to wait for a family member to drive out & meet me in the parking . It was 1pm broad daylight not like it's late at night! So much robbery and abductions of women is happening in our area in places where mostly women shop at. These stores should have a stronger and safer protocol when it comes to things like this!
