Dropped a picture off to be framed two weeks ago, and was told they were running ahead. I waited two weeks anyway for good measure. When I went to pick up at 10 am, it wasn't ready because the woman working frames "hadn't been able to get to it this morning" and told me it would be ready in the afternoon. I got a call at 3 pm it was ready. So...why did I have to leave the picture there for two weeks, if they were only going to start framing it the day it was due, and it only took them five hours? read more

Astoundingly knowledgeable staff here. You can ask for what you may think is the most obscure crafting supplies and an employee will tell you with full confidence the exact aisle and section that it is in. Really well kept store. I went here one night looking for some tulle to make a tutu. I searched all over the store, and my husband finally asked an employee up front....Michael's doesn't carry FABRIC?! It's a CRAFT store. The only fabric they carried was some felt. I was mystified. I would have gone to Hobby Lobby in the first place, but they were already closed. Michael's greater than Hobby Lobby. This particular location is nice and clean. Of course it was jam packed with goods and tight aisles, but clean nonetheless. I spent most of my time in the framing section and found quite a few options for my project. We ended up getting 2 2-packs of frames that were 40% off. So total, for 4 11x14 frames was $24 or $6 each. Not bad at all. They always seem to have frames at a discounted price. I'm not sure of his name, but the dark haired guy in framing was very helpful in showing us where things are and doing price checks for us. read more

I literally live at this Micheals. I frequent this location at least once a week. They have recently done some renovations that have certainly lifted up the place. I always know where everything is, but if i don't, the staff go out of their way to help me find what I'm looking for. PLUS, they've always got a coupon i could use. Compared to the three stars I gave the Willowbrook location, Humble gets all five. Why? Customer service! I was in and out with one terribly nice person who was helping other people too above and beyond what she needed to. She was helpful to me as well when I was having trouble pulling my coupon because of the spotty 3G coverage. I'd go here above Hobby Lobby any day (not just Sunday, haha) and I found just what I needed for a price cheaper than Amazon. Custom Frames Department---They are nice at drop off but when you come back and they can't find your completed order, the rudeness and lack of concern takes over. They claimed to have called me and left a voice mail but showed them my phone history, no call from them. When asked where was my order in which I paid for in advance, I got "I don't know". I said I need a refund and she looked at me like a deer in headlights. All she could say is we called you. I didn't receive a call and it really had nothing to do with my lost order. She went to the back and never came back. Another lady came out with my order, guess it magically appeared. I asked for my templates and this lady went to the back and never came back. After waiting 5 minutes, I walked to the entrance of the work room and the original lady was standing there talking with whom I found out later was a Manager. She had called the Manager I guess for advice on what to tell me since it wasn't written on the order to keep the old templates. Of course, it was my fault for not telling them I wanted my original templates back. I don't know why I would have to tell them to return my property. Anyway, I wanted them mainly to check the accuracy of the measurements before leaving the store. They assured me if they were incorrect, I could be inconvenience by coming back to experience more lousy service. The manager did not offer any apology nor thank me for my patronage. I will no longer give Michael's my business going back to the Hobby. They can't be trusted and don't care about their customers. read more
