I've always loved this store. During the holidays I've always been able to find my niece and nephews unique gifts. Toys with a purpose! ‍

We love going to Learning Express and doing the birthday gift basket. Such a cool and fun thing for kids to do. My kids picked out the toys they wanted and then the store put them online too. Family from out of town was able to purchase it and get it wrapped! Now we don't have to do an Amazon wishlist anymore! We will come for all kinds of occasions now! We love shopping local. I'm really glad this little toy store exists. read more

We have been to this store on numerous occasions and make more purchases than we need every time we enter. No more. A close friend took all our kiddos for a summer outing to look around and (of course) make multiple purchases. Upon entering they were asked if someone could help them find something particular; their answer was a polite "no," because they love browsing all the items then picking out what they want. My friend was then, very rudely, asked to leave her bag on the floor while they shopped. Note, the other customers were holding their very large bags on their shoulders, never having been asked to leave them behind while shopping. Not that it should matter, but they were all dressed like any other Texan on a summer day in shorts and t-shirts. Why they were treated in this manner, clearly and apparently different from the other shoppers (who noticed and commented on the disrespectful, unwarranted situation), I neither know nor care. We will taking our business to the Learning Express in the Woodlands where we have never been treated with such disrespect. You should do the same. read more

My sister-in-law was shopping here and was watched closely/asked to leave her bag at the front. It's totally store policy and not just for the brown women, right? They just happened to forget to ask all the white women there to leave their bags, right? Don't shop here, but if you do, please passively-aggressively load them up with all your purses, diaper bags, strollers, etc, because it's totally store policy that's equally applied to everyone, right? read more

This place doesn't deserve business they don't appreciate their customers!!! If you sell squishmallows be prepared to have them sell fast as they are a Fad right now!!! I'm sure that is your main hot selling item at the moment. So lying to customers and not restocking the shelves after you've posted on Instagram that you got a restock is pretty messed up also your fake reviews aren't gonna help you! Here is my two cents about Learning Express at Cypress: The owner here Becky is very rude and does not appreciate obtaining new customers, or keeping returning ones for that matter. I have been here on numerous occasions to browse the store and purchase the popular squishmallows. She has made it very apparent squishmallow collecters are not welcome in her store. They will not greet you, be kind to you, or helpful in any way if they see you're there for squishmallows. Many employees have been disrespectful here, including the owner. They openly seem annoyed while customers are looking at squishmallows. Majority of their staff also gives false and contradictory information when asking questions regarding inventory. There have been numerous times when I will call before heading over and they will tell me exactly what they have-both in the back and on the sales floor. Then I arrive shortly after calling, and they lie and tell me there is no more in the back period. I don't know if this is because they judge me on my appearance and decide they don't want to have my business or what their reasoning is. Yes I am a collecter, however I do buy a lot of the ones I get for my brother, and young cousins as gifts. All in all, I am disappointed all around in this business and their customer service. Upon attempting to have a respectable conversation with the owner, I was met with disrespect. She constantly tried to cut me off and spoke down to me as if I was her child. I would rather shop at and support local businesses, however I doubt I will ever return after this last bad experience with them. I hope they learn from their mistakes and repair the relationships they have broken. I genuinely would like to shop here, but not with the way they have treated my friends, myself, and other customers. read more

Learning Express is my go to place for fun, educational gifts. I know that I can always find some cool and unique toys that will help my nephew learning some science. The staff is always nice. It's really refreshing to come into a toy store that isn't a huge box chain. Everyone here is really attentive and my kiddo loves coming in here. They always have little demos in the front and stuff you just wouldn't find other places. They do gift wrapping which I thought was a really neat touch! Especially since they have these birthday baskets that you can have you kiddo put together, like a registry. I plan on utilizing this information when it's my kiddo's birthday! read more

I absolutely love this place! I've come here many times and every time I've come the staff has been energetic, helpful, and HAPPY. It is clear that everyone has a good time working here, and is shows in their customer service. Prices are fair. Although you will spend more for a toy here, than at say... wal-mart, you know that a toy purchased here is sure to inspire fun, learning, and smiles from your kids! The toys here are all of heirloom quality that will be enjoyed for many years. If you are a fan of Montessori learning, there are tons of Montessori "toys" here! Some of my fave features about the Learning Express are: 1) the "birthday buckets" they have on the back wall. Children are invited to come in and fill buckets with toys they want for their birthday. The staff displays them behind the counter, so friends and family can come and pick something out of the bucket to give them! 2) This location also has an amazing silhouette artist who comes before the holidays, and does amazing hand cut portraits. Its a wonderful, unique, one of a kind gift for grandparents! 3) The gift wrapping. They do an amazing job, not just tossing it on. You can choose girl or boy themes, and of course they have primary colors that are lots of fun. 4) There is a fun train table, and kitchen set that the staff is more than happy to let the children play with. Its definitely a much needed distraction when mom and dad are trying to do a little shopping. 5) Discounts! They have a program where for every 10 dollars you spend you get a stamp on a card that you can turn in for a discount on your next purchase. I've bought nearly every birthday and Christmas gift for my daughter here in the past 2 years. This is my first stop for gifts, and for tools to help me get her school ready. I know I'm likely to find exactly what I'm looking for (and lots more that I wasn't!) Walked in and was greeted. That's about it. There was one other customer were in the store and 4 teenage female employees were huddled together just standing and just talking. The entire store could hear their conversation (boyfriends, taxes, going to the outlet mall, living with their parents) and one was belting out Justin Bieber songs very loudly. Not kidding! As my husband said, when the store is that dead on a Saturday and you have 4 employees just standing around doing nothing, something is wrong with this picture! read more
