He confirmed what I was saying and luckily I didn't buy the paint the day before because it wasn't right. He had the right paint ready for me the next day. Kudos for the follow up/making it right. ORIGINAL - If you want to be talked down to and treated like you are ignorant, please shop here. And funny thing, I'm not the only customer here and the next person is being treated the same. Very arrogant and rude. I love SW paint and will remain a SW customer....just not at this store.

I've never had any problems with Sherwin Williams paint. The paint applies nicely and allows for easy cleaning. If a wall needs cleaning, the paint holds its color and shine. I've been coming to this location for a while for business and personal. I remember having to match a wall color. I called this Sherwin Williams and asked questions like, how am I to know what type of paint it is; flat, satin, latex, etc.? And, I didn't know what color it was. I was concerned I was going to have to try and match by my eye every color on the color wheel to try and come close. But you know that never works. They told me to bring in a sample from the wall. When I did, they put it under a device and matched the color perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved. After that, they were VERY nice helping me choose what kind of paint. I purchased the paint, went home and painted the area. Afterwards, I couldn't even tell the difference. They made what I thought was going to be a long and drawn out task into a delightful and grateful ending. They put my hesitation to rest. Now, every time I look at the area, I think why didn't I do that sooner? The Sherwin Williams on Summit Avenue will be there to help and guide you, for your next painting project.

Guilford Builders Supply is no more! It was bought out by Stock Building Supply which then merged…read moreinto Building Materials Construction Solutions [BMC]. This location has changed so so much from the "Guilford Builders" that I knew and loved to shop at for over 30 years. Inventory is now very specific to really high end, high volume, low quality construction industry. It is not a mom and pop local hardware / remodeler's / builder's supply any more. Almost nothing of the hardware is of real durable quality any more. I avoid going there unless I really have to. The only real positive for the place is the holdover from Guilford Builders is its "small wood shop" that is actually really excellent. IMHO its excellence and its existence is what brings this review up to a one star.

I have shopped so many antique and consignment shops in Greensboro, but I have never been here before. Firstly, it is not consignment. There are individual dealers in separate booths. It is a bit more consistently upscale then the other places I have been to, but that does not take away from the sheer pleasure of browsing. I would say it is moderately priced items and not the type of antique shop you are afraid to bump into something for fear of damaging something irreplaceable. I guess it really depends on your pocket book. Something's I found very affordable, something's were just out of my reach. They have smalls, furniture, decor and lovely oil paintings. I love ceramics so I enjoyed looking at lovely plates and colorful ginger jars. Wherever you looked, there was something interesting to see. The dealers just have magnificent taste in their collections and in how they merchandise their wares. There is a large parking lot in front. Just go and have fun. That's what we did!
