My daughter was delighted to see their little bulldog who greeted us at the door and we spent a few minutes "awwing" over and petting her. We found what we needed and came back inside to checkout. My daughter was petting the mentioned dog while I stood in line to check out. My attention was on the counter, waiting to be called when I heard a small "oof" and then noises of distress from my daughter - took a step back to find the dog had knocked her to the ground and was humping her! My daughter was crying by the time I rushed to her and had to pull the dog off of her. I scooped her up and stepped back to the register - the cashier gave me a curious glance and I told her what had happened. Now to the reason I will not be returning here - her response was a little chuckle and a "oh yeah, if you're on the ground with her that's what's going to happen" ?!?!? ZERO apologies as I'm standing there with my hysterically crying child in my arms. Had it not been for the fact that we'd already gone through the work of sifting through piles of stone and selecting what we wanted and loading it to the scale I would have walked out right then. We just moved to the area and have a lot of home improvement projects coming up but I will not be giving any of my future business to this establishment. HORRIBLE attitude and customer service.

Needed a last-minute key made and this location was the closest place to have this done quickly…read more I walked in, headed straight for the aisles. Though I wasn't for sure where the keys are made. Within seconds, I spotted the kiosk placed near the self-checkout area. I didn't feel as if I was blocking anything or in the way of the walkways. I appreciate the easy path to finding it. Once there, the on screen instructions will guide you through the process. The price was $5.34 with tax. Note that this price was for a house key. Prices may vary for car keys and other types of keys. The entire process felt like a couple of minutes, tops. Overall, the 1-minute key machine served its purpose and saved the day! I was even offered a free 2nd key during my checkout process. I did not receive a physical receipt but they will email one after. I'll be back to gather my gardening supplies later this month. I usually shop here for my home plants and outdoor garden activities. Glad I could accomplish a last minute errand. Though I didn't require assistance from any employees today, I did greet a few on my way out.

Just a short drive from downtown, it was easy to get in and out of. I found a board that would work, and got the employees in the lumber yard to help me by cutting it down to smaller, more manageable pieces. They made quick work of my request, and I was on my way back to set up. As far as Home Depot's go, they had all the items you'd expect to find. My only complaint was there were definitely some questionable characters hanging out in the parking lot, which I could have done without. I think it would be in their best interest to chase these people off, I didn't appreciate being hassled for a handout while shopping, and would not want my wife to go to this location by herself. It was a convenient spot to get what I needed, but not one I'd be rushing back to, especially after dark

For me they are conveniently located, carry a decent selection of building materials on-site, have a full complement of suppliers for sourcing, and have hours more consistent with a retail store. They carry Ben Moore Paints, and I see paint contractors and design professionals there on a regular basis. They have a woodshop that can rip, cut, route and plane wood on-site, for the homeowner, or the contractor who left his table saw at home. As I write this review, I am working with their back desk to order a custom sized, screen door that I could not effectively source elsewhere. I wish they would carry Choice #1 pressure treated lumber, and they may have a grump or two, but I support local businesses vs. "big box stores," and I do endorse Guildford Builders for home improvement, remodeling and contractor services.

There were several dozen to choose from, and it was almost impossible to tell what would link together. I selected the coupling and hose I believed would work for me, and instead of making me buy it and go through a return process, they let me take it all out of the packaging and hook the heater (i had it in my car) to one of their store propane tanks to ensure it would all fit. It did, and then we conducted the transaction. This was just before a major winter storm. They were very patient with everyone who called, came in, and people like me learning on the fly, even though they were just inundated with calls and people. They do offer propane tank fill-ups here, and things like mulch, pine straw, hay, firewood, on a seasonal basis.
