They sell everything for indoor and outdoor, furniture, decor, bedding and so much more. We found their carpet section, which offered a huge selection, many of which came in varying sizes. We had trouble finding a specific carpet we saw on the racks, so pushed a button on the end of the aisle to call an assosciate, and I've got to admit, I was surprised when she not only showed up, but in just a few minutes. At Home gets bonus point for that, unlike other stores, where you can push the button, and no one ever comes to help. In the end, we found the carpet, along with a few other small items. Pricing, is very reasonable, that being said, most of their products probably aren't meant to last a life time, but you get what you pay for, and if you take care of your stuff, it will hold up. I'll definitely be returning in the spring to pick up some outdoor patio seating!

It's odd they have separate areas for each department. There are two sections for the kitchen department. Be sure to check both if you can't find what you need because it could be there. Friendly helpful staff. 4/5 only because the website error giving me a wasted trip.

Not a chance. Fill your homely heart with accessories for the desk and gifts for any friend. There is a giant wall of stickers spanning a range of subjects, but generally seeming to lean towards feminism and other more liberal themes. The selection of journals was what caught my eye the most of all. Don't forget the assortment of books, gift cards, and postcards. For the one-half greenhouse, it's another half paperie/stationery shop. For me, the prices were on the high side. That wouldn't stop me, of course, from snagging a journal and a pen in the future, though. It just so happens that, as an avid journaler, I already have a stack of blank journals patiently waiting their turn. The owners were friendly and even had a little dog roaming around happily going about its day. The plants were an inspiration, and now I want to propagate my own pothos into tiny little self-painted and designed pots rescued from the thrift store!

I have also gotten my mom hanging baskets or potted flowers for Mother's Day the last couple of years. Although they can be a bit pricey, the quality is top tier. It's always fun to have a walk through their inside market to check out the specialty items. We walked away with a carton of strawberries and two oatmeal cream pies. The lady who checked us out was so nice and even gave a tip to air fry the oatmeal cream pie. With a life hack like that you can't say the service isn't stellar! We will continue making our way to Garden Valley for our yearly plant/flower purchases in the future!

There is a large dirt parking lot that holds plenty of cars. The one issue I have with this market is that the it is outdoor and the produce ripens quickly in the heat. Sometimes you have to hunt and pick through the selection to get fruit and vegetables that are not on the cusp of being overripe. I am only one person, so I cannot possible eat a whole melon in one day and need it to last a while. The owner is nice and all the employees are helpful. I do find the produce a bit expensive, but I really like the vibe of this local market and like to support them.

Pricing is hit or miss, some items, are well priced, others are bit high in my opinion. I guess it's all in what you're willing to pay. We didn't have any luck finding the rug, but found a few other small items . The only interaction we had with staff was at the register, and it was fine. I have a friend Michael who is a successful psychiatrist out in Los Angeles. He has done very well for himself and has certainly put in the years and years of hard work and dedication in his field to achieve his success. We will often find ourselves fretting over something that costs us an extra $20 as if we were back in the Bronx when our parents lived from paycheck to paycheck. I remember my Grandmother, may she rest in peace, would literally run from store to store to store when she did grocery shopping to save a few pennies here or there. And I am the exact same way. Always shopping at thrift stores, always walking to the back of the store to see what is on sale or needs to be liquidated. Always looking at the price on the menu and not focusing on what I really want. It has served me well in that I have never been in debt, but there is some element of feeling I'm not deserving of something off the top shelf. I finally broke out of my box this weekend as I headed to Casual Furniture World up on Lawndale Avenue with the spirit of my Mom with me the entire time. Mom would yell at me all the time in a loving way, "Why do you always buy second hand clothes and furniture? You work so hard. Why don't you reward yourself and get something nice and new? Why do you always get an old used car? Why don't you treat yourself? You earned the money. You're not asking anybody for anything. You deserve it!" With Mom's voice in my head and heart I drove up Lawndale to Casual Furniture World. As soon as I walked in and saw the salesmen and all the beautiful stuff I got nervous. I'm not used to this. They professionally left me alone for a while as I wandered around looking at gorgeous outdoor fireplaces and tables and chairs and couches and anything you could possibly think of. Eventually a salesman named Jim approached me and asked me if I needed help and the journey began. Jim and I zeroed in on three outdoor sectionals; two wicker sets and one teak wood. I found Jim to be helpful but not pushy and after he quoted me what each of those sectionals would cost and I clutched my pearls, I asked for a little time on my own to make a decision As I walked around contemplating making a $4,000 investment, I was in awe of the gorgeous inventory they had at that place. Nothing is cheap but everything looks quality. They had everything from sectionals to chairs to tables to benches to umbrellas to outdoor fire pits and fireplaces. I kept circling around to this one set that caught my eye. I could just envision myself relaxing on that sectional or even moving some of the pillows and taking a nap on my new screened in porch. But $4,000 when I could get something like this at Home Depot for a fraction of the cost kept tugging at me. And then suddenly I heard Mom's voice and she reminded me that I am buying this furniture and built my screened in porch from the money she left me when she passed last year from covid. On top of that, I could not stop thinking about all the families that within one moment were stricken with tragedy when that condo collapsed in Florida just a few miles from where my grandparents used to have a condo in North Miami Beach. In the end I listened to my Mom like I usually did and purchased the beautiful set. What was even more fun is that the pillows are custom made so I got to pick out some cool colors and not the usual gray black and tan that I usually get. I forgot to ask how long it takes and when they told me 8 to 10 weeks I was kind of shocked but then I had to remember that we are still dealing with the pandemic and nice things take time. I put down my deposit and headed on out and then noticed that they share the space with New Garden Nursery which I had not been to in many years. Cool! As I sat on my almost finished screened in porch this morning with a cup of coffee, I could not help but think how blessed I was to have my beautiful mother for 92 years and that she was giving me this porch and that beautiful outdoor furniture sectional as a gift. How lucky am I? I cannot tell you if there are other stores like Casual Furniture World in the Greensboro area but if you are looking for quality and a large inventory and great service, I was very impressed with this place. In a couple of months I will be sitting on it, hosting friends on it and at night when I remove the pillows and sleep with the sounds of the crickets and birds, I will remember how blessed I am and how much Mom and I loved nature. Moral of the story... Once in a while it's good to just go for it and treat yourself. You deserve it and time is short! Right, Mom??

After not finding anything I liked as much and they did not have my sample in stock, an employee said she would check with the Raleigh store to see if they still had the fabric. She said she would call me if they still had the fabric. I appreciated her willingness to help. She called later that day while I was driving home (I live one hour from this location and two from the Raleigh store). When I returned home I called and was able to purchase the fabric over the phone. After taking my payment information she offered to have it shipped to my seamstress . I gave her the name and address and she told me she would take care of it when they received it from Raleigh. I thought everything was taken care of at that point. On August 2 I heard from my seamstress that she had not received the fabric. When I contacted the store they had received the fabric but said they had no idea who it belonged to. They told me Raleigh had sent no information. Raleigh would have had no information since I didn't purchase it from them. When I picked my fabric up I was told the same story multiple times even though I explained multiple times. The woman I dealt with was right there. She had my name, number, payment information as well as the name and address of my seamstress. She never bothered to follow through when the fabric was sent from Raleigh. They continued to blame the Raleigh location for the mixup. This Greensboro location dropped the ball and refused to take responsibility. That is no way to run a business. It shows a total lack of integrity. If they had taken responsibility for their mistake I would return when I needed fabric but that is not the case now. I will never shop at this location and tell everyone I know that is looking for fabric to never go there.

I made a very large and expensive purchase of fabric to recover 6 Parson's Chairs, as well as, another fabric to make 6 pillows and cording for the pillows. I brought with me actual pictures of the chairs from a couple of angles, along with measurements of every part of the chair. I also had pictures of the pillows with measurements. The person helping me told me how much fabric I would need for each. I used a very reputable Upholsterer, who called me when he unrolled the fabric for the chairs. There were two cuts of fabric on the roll. He called me because he said they sold me twice as much fabric than I needed and that they should at lease take back the second cut of fabric that was on the roll. When I called Printer's Alley, they refused to take anything back and said all sales are final. I understand this, but not when you trust them as professionals and they then take advantage of their customers! Especially when there was a large amount of fabric on the second piece of fabric that they cut. The people at Printer's Alley cannot be trusted and hide behind their "all sales final" to take advantage of their customers by selling twice as much fabric as is needed. Buyer beware!!
