It was next to the tanning salon and since I was seeing my friend on the day after his birthday in Charlotte the following day, I decided to swing in here and buy him a nice card. By Jesus cards are so overpriced and expensive these days, but having said that I was glad it was here and it was perfectly adequate for what I needed it for. And they have a great selection and it's a huge store too.

We agreed on 2ish. Well, I arrived around 2:10pm at the restaurant when I get a text saying it would be closer to 3... I was so sad because I was really hungry. My friends tells me to go check out Kirklands, that's how I got here! I procrastinated a bit but it was around 2:20pm on Tuesday afternoon when I visited Kirklands for the first time. When I walked in, Fall time aroma was evident. If I had to guess, I would say the aroma reminded me of pumpkin and/or cinnamon. While looking around, I noticed ample Fall and Halloween decor. The store was running a 25% sale off for Labor Day. I saw some cute mini monogram pumpkins that were $4.19, but of course, they didn't hav a Z for Zay :( Other decor items included pillows, pictures, lamps, pumpkins, furniture, towels, etc. There were two tables with candles. I LOVE candles! The sale price was $8.99. I ended up getting two. One was "Teach, Encourage, Inspire" which was lemon, apple, pear as Summer is wrapping up and the other was "Cafe Macchiato" for the Fall time me or anytime lol. I didn't like many of the offering for seasonal aromas. I'm sure many others would enjoy it. The cashier present was Nancy. She was really friendly and helpful. When I walked in, she helped others but asked me if I needed help with anything and told me about the current sale when she was done. She did the same thing for each customer that came in after me. While checking out, the card machine had some issues and wouldn't accept my card. Around about 3 tries it worked. Nancy stated that "they" we're moving the line underground and wires may have gotten hit. I assume she had been having prior to me because after the first time, she said it wasn't my card. Nonetheless, no biggie. I saw many things that I would buy but nothing I needed. Some things were a big pricey for me too. I typically don't decorate for each season/holiday except Christmas. After my items were paid for, I left to fill my tummy with tacos and a jumbo margarita :)

Cash America is one the worst and most inconsistent pawn shops in Greensboro. The store associates…read moregive you the run around whenever you come in to pawn or sell an item (one day they say they will accept an item, then when you get there they say they aren't accepting said item). The associates also seem to be overly selective with who they choose to do business with, even if it is a profitable item you are looking to sell or pawn. They use the "we have enough of that in our inventory" excuse quite often with certain people, I've noticed. If you are looking for a reasonable pawn shop in the Greensboro area to sell/pawn items, I highly recommend National Pawn and Jewelry on Battleground Ave. The associates there are way more friendly and willing to work with you. Even if you have an item that they may have "too much of" in their inventory, they will still work with you and give you a reasonable amount of money. Cash America Pawn is a joke.

I also find it to not be as crowded and even though there are fewer registers I hardly ever have to wait. Any time I have needed help the staff has been helpful and friendly. As far as the clothing I really like their jeans selection and variety of tops. Their options for work pants is always good too. Overall for the price I think it's a great value and will continue to shop there.

I was getting my toddler a snack before entering the store and I sent my mom ahead of me. My mom came back in tears. The sales woman stopped her gave her a snotty look and said that she need to put on a mask. That's not a big deal we were mask all the time. The way she said it was incredibly disrespectful almost guarding her from moving forward into the consumer-less store. When my mom fumbled through her purse to find one. She pointed to free masks with an attitude of clear irritation. I came back alone to speak with the manager who claimed she was in earshot, even though my mom said she was not in the store at the time. The sales woman I said she absolutely was not disrespectful in anyway when I pressed she said she was willing to apologize for any offense. Then the sales woman added to her narrative that she had told my mom she didn't have to wear a mask... which was a lie and also against their store's policies it seems. I can respect having your employees back. But the manager wasn't in ear shot. The sales lady lied. My mom wouldn't hear her out, she was too embarrassed. Stuff like this happens. We all have get in funks or have bad attitudes sometimes. It's not worth harping over and we all need grace sometimes.
