I think this should be taken into consideration by upper management with the Ross corporation. My mom had thought I was in the changing room, so she goes to look and the lady working there started to yell at my mom and she berated her. My mom was very reasonably confused, she tried to explain with the little English she had that she just wanted to look for her daughter. Even a few customers behind her decided to chime in and defend my mom, but the lady wouldn't listen. I really hope that this establishment deals with this worker and I also hope she has not treated anyone else this way either. When I finally had had enough this morning, I drove straight to Burlington Outlet Store in the same shopping area where shopping was a pure pleasure. Ross at Bridford Pky. will never have my business again. I will, however, continue shopping at Ross in Myrtle Beach, SC where they are proud of their store and value their customers.

Set up as individual vendor booths, some are amazing some not so much, but everywhere you look, you're sure to see something fun, unique, or full nostalgia. I saw many items I remember either having as a child or seeing and my grandparents houses, but also some truly cool items. We've got a short list of items we're debating over, just trying to find the space for them. Pricing varies greatly from space to space and item to item, but overall, I think it was reasonable. You're bound to find something for anyone's taste here. Because of the size we didn't even get through it all, so will be going back again soon to see what more we can find.

First chair arrived with shipping damage, they arranged for a repair company to come by and fix it, they only made it look worse, so they sent a replacement chair, the second chair had worse shipping damage than the first chair, so I refused delivery/exchange, then they sent THAT chair to a repair center somewhere in California where it was refurbished, unfortunately it was refurbished to a color/finish that was way off color from the chair I originally ordered(and still have, shipping damage and all). I really have no better option than to keep the original chair(and damage) as they refuse to send their furniture across an ocean and a continent with more than a double layer of bubble wrap as packaging. This chair was about $700 cheaper than the other two or three other companies that make this type of furniture, but now I realize "ya get what ya' pay for", worst $700 I ever saved. Would I risk buying a matching couch for 3 times the price of the chair? No way in hell. I've learned my lesson.

The first time I met Ruth was when looking for an antique Chinese armoire to hide our TV and other things. We had been to a well known location in NY, and were inspired about the idea but not enough inspired by the items there to purchase. Somehow (!) I "found" Ruth and saw pieces on her web site. Connecting with her, we went to see her warehouse in Maine, driving there from MA and seeing family on the way. OK, just 5 minutes at her place left us breathless! Never mind the super-plain cabinet we went there for. Seeing the amazing armoire with an entire family story carved on the front was like stepping into another world. Whether in New York or even in San Francisco, we had not seen anything like it. The beautifully deep, rich red color and dark, somewhat worn metal hardware was brought to life by the softly highlighted figures embellishing the piece. The short story: Ruth has beautiful, high quality pieces and customer service to match. This was the first experience. A few years later I bought a pair of lovely Elm tables with wicker centers that we used together as a coffee table. Again, a very positive shopping experience. We didn't go to Maine that time but the whole experience was 100% great. As a designer and colorist, I have always had the greatest confidence in working with Ruth professionally and recommending Antiques by Zaar and Ruth as often as possible.
