I avoid going to stores as much as humanly possible. But, then, I had a clothing emergency. I need some dress clothes and nothing I have fits (down 60 pounds y'all!) anyways. I put on my best mood I could muster and set out. Went through 6 stores and was so close to giving up. Why oh why can't my subscription box ship over night? Why? So I had the opportunity to find my new favorite store in Winston! Boho Blu is everything my heart desires. I walked in and was immediately grabbing things left and right. I looked at the prices and didn't have sticker shock either! A wise woman once told me when buying clothes, "if it feels good, looks good on you, and can travel without wrinkling, buy 6 of them." Everything was perfection. I found the cutest dress. They had the cutest shoes too. That will be next time. I plan on going back ASAP! Oh, and on your first check in, you can get a pair of earrings for free with a regular purchase!

I can't afford to shop there regularly, but their bi-annual sales are legendary. Everything eventually comes down to 75% off. The staff are friendly and cheerful and very classy for this sleepy town (but I'm biased- some of them are Wake students). I should also mention the location- a shocking pink former gas station on the strip of Reynolda Road inhabited by Pink Mink, Fabians, 1703 and the Krankie's silver bullet. A must-stop for anyone driving back to the West End or Downtown from campus on a Friday afternoon. After you've finished sipping your iced coffee and blown your money on the summer sale, drive a bit further down Reynolda towards the west end and reward your exertion with a gelato from Cafe Gelato.

First off no one greeted me and then all I heard was the employees discussing what college they were going to. Which is fine, but it would have been great to get a hello first. They did notice I was carrying around a bit and offered to start a dressing room for me. My biggest issue was that the store was only open for two weeks and they had barely any smalls left in a lot of the styles. I went back a week later and still the same problem. This might just be something were they need to see what people are buying so they know what to order and right now don't have the ordering quite right. But, it is really disappointing to like multiple things and have there be no smalls in sight. Even with all that I will be back for sure. They have some nice pieces (when they have your size) at pretty affordable price points. I would put it on par with like Francesca's Collection. If you like shopping at Francesca's definitely give Ivy & Leo a try. They are a chain out of Charlotte with stores in NC and SC, it is nice to keep it semi-local!

I usually do online shopping because it's way more convenient for my crazy busy life, but every once in awhile I have to go into the store and this one is the closest for me and the one I usually go into. I have to say it can be hit or miss. Half the time I go in I don't receive any attention because I'm younger and I can only assume that they think I don't have the money to spend there like other women may have. Whatever the case maybe sometimes I'm generously helped and other times I'm literally left to fend for myself. But always make sure you check out their sale rack, they'll sometimes have stuff there that's not showing up online (i.e - that jacket you really wanted last spring that you didn't jump on or blouses that you can't get in your size online they have your size in the store).
