I avoid going to stores as much as humanly possible. But, then, I had a clothing emergency. I need some dress clothes and nothing I have fits (down 60 pounds y'all!) anyways. I put on my best mood I could muster and set out. Went through 6 stores and was so close to giving up. Why oh why can't my subscription box ship over night? Why? So I had the opportunity to find my new favorite store in Winston! Boho Blu is everything my heart desires. I walked in and was immediately grabbing things left and right. I looked at the prices and didn't have sticker shock either! A wise woman once told me when buying clothes, "if it feels good, looks good on you, and can travel without wrinkling, buy 6 of them." Everything was perfection. I found the cutest dress. They had the cutest shoes too. That will be next time. I plan on going back ASAP! Oh, and on your first check in, you can get a pair of earrings for free with a regular purchase!

First off no one greeted me and then all I heard was the employees discussing what college they were going to. Which is fine, but it would have been great to get a hello first. They did notice I was carrying around a bit and offered to start a dressing room for me. My biggest issue was that the store was only open for two weeks and they had barely any smalls left in a lot of the styles. I went back a week later and still the same problem. This might just be something were they need to see what people are buying so they know what to order and right now don't have the ordering quite right. But, it is really disappointing to like multiple things and have there be no smalls in sight. Even with all that I will be back for sure. They have some nice pieces (when they have your size) at pretty affordable price points. I would put it on par with like Francesca's Collection. If you like shopping at Francesca's definitely give Ivy & Leo a try. They are a chain out of Charlotte with stores in NC and SC, it is nice to keep it semi-local!

(Yes, I did write three halves there - one larger than the others - on purpose and don't try to read more into my imperfect math than it just being imperfect) Anyway... before getting into the rest of the review... I was approaching Boones Mill, VA on my way to Charlotte, NC and saw a Trump Town sign. I was thinking is that a real place or just someone's comment. Going further and getting into the middle of town traffic was non-existent, so I stopped at a gas station to fuel up. Looking to the right I guess I managed to stop right next door to what all the signs were about...I think away, the Trump Store. Yes, I never knew something like this existed. I can't say I spent much time there, but I was amazed at the spectacle of stuff for sale. Or was I? I don't even know. Obviously the place is pro-Trump but when you see a toilet bowl cleaner with Trump's hair as the brush, is that really pro-Trump? I'm not sure! Even with the toilet bowl cleaner I would never go as far to say this place has something for everyone! Though it does have a lot of items for 2A supporters if you want to avoid the Trump card. Love it or hate it, it is a sign of the times. If you happen to visit that same gas station. Take a few photos and put them away for safe keeping. You can tell your future ancestors I was there when... well, I guess time will only tell the complete story as to what comes after "when".
